Books are for everyone! "First stop, town square!" Ms. Morris the librarian exclaims. It's the first adventure for Quint the lovable bookmobile, and everyone is excited. Quint will be leaving his best friend Barnabus the big brown dog and the big red shop where he came to life (Shhh...) to deliver the keys of knowledge to the people of Roneyville. Quint thinks, "Oh, I hope everyone will like me!" Come along on this journey with Quint to discover the joy of reading--and find the keys hidden along the way.
What a wonderful way to introduce young readers to the many ways in which books can open their minds and hearts? Quint is a truck who lives in a big red shop. He has been given a special mission; Quint will become an ambassador of knowledge for the residents in the small town of Roneyville. He will be bringing books in his truck to residents of all ages. Quint is nervous and apprehensive. Will he be accepted?
The illustrations are bold, bright and inviting. Young children learn about what a bookmobile does and a bit about the history of bookmobiles. But even more important, readers learn about different functions of the library and its delivery systems. Highly recommended for preschoolers and primary school readers. Suggested as a bedtime story or read aloud.
Bookmobiles used to be on camels, elephants, bicycles and boats. Anyway to get books to people. Ms. Morris was waiting to bring Quint his first adventure. Quint has 4000 books. Tremell library has a moto " books to everyone, wherever they may be! " Quint hopes the townspeople like him. Quint thinks, "I think I am ready...I hope I am ready...I am ready." Are they ready for Quint? Do they want him? I love and highly recommend this cute book. The illustrations are bright and lively and the story is upbeat and rolls right along like a bookmobile. I borrowed this book on a Kindle Unlimited website and so can you.
The Adventures of Quint the Bookmobile was a cute story that children should have fun reading. I think Quint makes the activity exciting to children and would help to encourage them to read if they are not learning to love to read. It is not only a great book to read to them but makes a good beginner reader book as well. My 6 year old granddaughter enjoyed it which was great because she has been a reluctant reader so we try to find as many as we can that capture her attention.
