4 star review of A Dash Of Christmas (The Montgomery Brothers #9) by Samantha Chase

I love any story that is centred around Christmas; it’s a time for family and friends to get together and celebrate life.

I like Samantha Chase’s style of writing and the story kept me entertained from the first to the last chapter.

This is Carter Montgomery and Emery Monaghan's story. They have had a rivalry since they were children and now thanks to meddling by Carter’s mother Eliza , Emory finds herself smack b

A amazing addition to an amazing series.

Carter was the Montgomery who broke the mold. As a chef, he did not go into the family business (which I guess is marketing) and broke much of his father's expectations. Emery's life is pretty much as messed up as it could get, she was cheated on and her family sided with the enemy. They have known each other since middle school, always hiding their feelings in bickering and competition. But his parents saw through his ruse, and it was inevitable that wit

Outstanding. Absolutely beautiful. A five star romance. Samantha has cooked a up a masterpiece in this Montgomery story. It’s been a while since we’ve e heard from the Montgomery’s, but Carter and Emery has cemented themselves as favourites in my eyes… ♥

Carter Montgomery is a famous chef, owner of 2 very successful restaurants, with a third on its way. He lives a very busy, chaotic life, between running kitchens, restaurants and his m

Where do I even begin with this book? It has everything you could want in a sweet Christmas read that warms your heart and keeps you turning the pages from beginning to end as fast as you can! Samantha Chase knows how to write! That is one thing for sure. I fell in love with all the characters in this book very quickly and the writing just flowed flawlessly.

Emery is caught up in a local scandal involving her fiance. Emery is doing her best to stay out of the spotlight and away from the preying

Gah! These Montgomerys. They manage to hit me straight in the heart every time, but this one is even more poignant and touching. Carter and Emery's story had me all verklempt and made my eyes leak more than once, darn it! The big bunch of Montgomerys have such a strong sense of family that the author amazingly brings to life so it feels like I’m right there in the middle of their teasing and banter, like I’m recalling the nostalgic memories right along with them and I’m a integral part of the ne ...more

A Dash of Christmas is a delicious addition to the Montgomery Brothers series!

Carter Montgomery is a famous chef who has three restaurants in major cities and a fourth in development in Montauk, New York. He's been focusing on this restaurant for some time, but things are just not coming together for him like he wants. He wants this one to feel and be different from his oth

First I love the Montgomery's. Carter and Emery went to school together and they competed with each other over the years. Emery always felt she had to work twice as hard as everyone else. Carter's mom Eliza brought them together as adults to work on charity cookbook. Emery was coming off a horrible engagement. What made it worse is her parents did not stand by her. Carter's mom gives Emery a life line when she asks her to help with the cook book. Emery is comfort food while Carter is fine dining ...more

A great Christmas story that has now put me in the mood for the holidays and comfort food.
A strong start with a drama no one needs, wants or should ever have to go through. It hooked me. I was anticipating a faster pace after that, however, it had to simmer a good while.
Emery Monaghan had to wade through the whole gamut of feelings--her place, her purpose, her goals in a life that had, up until now, been subtly dictated by her parents. A quick fix was not on the menu for her.

A Dash of Christmas by Samantha Chase
“From rivals to lovers, 5 stars”

When I sat down to read A Dash of Christmas, I was like Johnaka, why the H-E-double hockey sticks are you reading a Christmas book in September. I mean, I know I do some weird stuff but that’s a little early even for me. But then I cracked open A Dash of Christmas and realized that it wasn’t a Christmas book, but a book about getting ready for Christmas. I soon fell into the story and was smitten with these two. One thing is fo

I will confess that I am more familiar with Ms. Chase's Shaughnessy Brothers and Band on the Run series. I love those books. I did read Tangled Up in You which is Megan's story. This novel focuses on Carter Montgomery, the brother of Christian from Suddenly Mine and Megan from Tangled Up in You. Eliza Montgomery their mom has one single child left and uses circumstances and a little planning to put Carter and his past school rival,, Emery Monaghan tog

4.5 Stars for A Dash of Christmas
Christmas is my favourite time of year and what better than a book centred around the holiday season after all it’s a time of year for family and friends to get together and share goodwill.
Carter Montgomery and Emery Monaghan have had a rivalry since their childhood and now thanks to some meddling from a family member it seems the rivalry has heated up and Emery finds herself bang smack in the middle of a awkward situation facing a very unhappy Carter. Emery’s n

Emery Monaghan's life sucks pretty hard right now. Her fiance, the senator, not only cheated on her, he did some pretty heinous things to a number of women. Rather than supporting her, her parents are aghast that she's not standing by her man. She just needs to get away for a little bit and escape the crazy. Eliza Montgomery provides her not only a place, but a project to do while she tries to figure out the rest of her life.

I love the Montgomery series and Emery and Carter's book was amazing!

Hopefully you have been able to read the other books in the series because I highly recommend, but you do not need to have that background to enjoy and love A Dash of Christmas. Samantha Chase wrote an amazing book that transports you into Christmas nostalgia. While Carter is dealing with the opening of a new restaurant and struggling to please his mother and a new book venture, Emery has her own terrible issues that she is dea

Samantha Chase adds another enjoyable title to her list with this delicious holiday tale. Emery's politican boyfriend turns out to be a cheater and harrasser, and then her (awful) family inexplicably pressures her to stand by her man. When a family friend offers her a chance to escape to their family condo in New York, Emery grabs at the lifeline. She soons finds herself sharing the space with her childhood rival, who is now a famous chef. Carter doesn't want anytying to do with this woman that ...more
I loved that cover and the premise of this story, sadly I’m a little disappointed.

I liked Emery and Carter well enough. They’re both good people who are very stubborn and I enjoyed the button pushing. There’s a pretty large group of characters and I did jump in without reading any of the previous books, but this was slightly overwhelming. I eventually gave up on trying to keep everyone straight.

Plot wise it was decent. There’s a lot of push and pull and while they get together fairly quickly,

So happy there is another book in The Montgomery Brothers series, at the same time I'm so sad it's the last one.
This book is about Carter and Emery. Carter did what no Montgomery did, he choose different profession, he is chef and he is trying to open his fourth restaurant. His mother needs help and he promissed her to put some recipes together for Christmas cookbook with profits for charity.

Fans of Bella Andre, Susan Mallery, and Jill Shalvis will delight in Samantha Chase’s newest book, A Dash of Christmas. Returning to her beloved Montgomerys, we finally get Carter’s story and it was worth the wait; Chase delivers an enemies to lovers romance that is full of warmth and humor.

The banter between Emery and Carter was fun and flirty, and there was a connection between them that was clear even when they were arguing. With the right amount of drama and personal conflict, Chase was able

Now, Emery is helping Carter’s mother on her cookbook not knowing that Carter is supposed to be helping too. Plus they end up sharing the same apartment at the time. I have read all the previous Montgomery books in the series and this book did not disappoint. I was sad for Emery at the beginning of the book as she faced some awful news and parents who did not support her at all. Carter is a renowned chef who was roped into doing a charity Christmas cookbook for his mom.
It was a sweet book and I loved not only how it ended but how the Montgomery family rallied around Emery.

My heart broke for Emery when she had to not only put up with the publicity from her now ex-fiance’s horrible behavior, but her parents sided with him and did not support her.
