يعد "يوسي ميلمان" من أهم الكتاب الصحفيين الإسرائيليين المعنيين بإشكالية العلاقة بين الإسرائيليين والفلسطينيين، وتناولت العديد من مقالاته الصحفية في الصحف الإسرائيلية المختلفة، وكتبه المنشورة، مدى حجم الهوة التي انساق لها المجتمع الإسرائيلي في تعاملهم مع عرب فلسطين، والتي تنذر بحدوث كارثة مستقبلية حذر منها في الكثير من كتاباته، ويعتبر "موسى ميلمان" نفسه من ذوي الإتجاه اليساري في إسرئيل والذي يدعو لضرورة التعايش مع الفلسطينيين داخل فلسطين، ولو اضطر ذلك "إسرائيل" لإعطاء الفلسطينين حق الحكم الذاتي على بقايا أراضيهم، ولكنه - رغم ذلك - ضد فكرة منح حق العودة للاجئي سنة 1948، إلى جانب انحيازه الواضح تجاه حق إسرائيل التاريخي والأبدي في "القدس"، ويشغل موسى ميلمان في الوقت الحالي وظيفة محلل الشؤون الاستخباراتية والإستراتيجية في صحيفة "هآرتس" الإسرائيلية المشهورة، ومن أهم ما نُشرَ له من مؤلفات: " تواطؤ عبر الاردن" بالاشتراك مع "دان رفيف"، "أمراء الموساد"، "الأصدقاء بالأفعال: أسرار التحالف الإسرائيلي- الأمريكي" بالاشتراك مع "دان رفيف"، "كل جاسوس أمير" بالاشتراك مع "دان رفيف".
يلقي "يوسي ميلمان" في كتابه "الإسرائيليون الجدد- مشهد تفصيلي لمجتمع متغير" نظرة إجمالية على أحوال الجيل الثالث من الإسرائيلين الجدد أو الأحفاد، والذين وجدوا أنفسهم في مشكلة مفصلية تتعلق بهويتهم التي ما زالوا يبحثون عنها داخل أعماق البنية الهشة للمجتمع الإسرائيلي، يقول ميلمان: "إن دولة إسرائيل ما برحت تعرف نفسها في إطار دولة اليهود! ولكن ما معنى هذا الأمر، أنحن إسرائيليون أم يهود؟ وهوية من تسبق الأخرى؟ وما جنسيتنا أهي إسرائيلية أم يهودية؟ وهل تعبر يهوديتنا عن نفسها في إطار المصطلح القومي أم في إطار آخر ربما هو الإطار الديني؟ ثم ماذا عن مصطلح (شعب الله) ومصطلح (دولة اليهود)؟ فهل يستثني كلاهما العرب الذين يقطنون دولة إسرائيل؟ وأخيرًا أيهما منبع حضارتنا؟ أهو الأوروبي أم الشرق أوسطي؟.."؛ صـ10.
