Cindy White is an out of work actress that just lost her boyfriend and home. She decides to follow up with her friend Sadie and stay at her place. Unfortunately Sadie is not at home but her neighbors help her get into the apartment. But this is a building full of strange people. It seems that the fairytales Cindy’s dad told her as a child are real and that he is the ruler of the kingdom. But demons have taken over and it is going to be up to Cindy and her friends to save Perdita.

With an opening like this one I couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happen next. Cindy finds that her boyfriend has been cheating on her and ends up being kicked out of their apartment. Of course she is going to find so much more in her new home like knowing that her father is still alive and that she is going to have to fight demons to same him and the fairytale he told her stories about.

This is a great read and even of Thor can be such a pain in the butt I was hooked immediately. I couldn’t put it down. This is a great story for those that like fantasy worlds with an unprepared heroine and some unlikely characters. I can’t wait to read more from April Grey.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. I voluntarily chose to read and share this book.

Received from Silver Dagger Book Tours

The story starts when Cindy breaks up with her longtime boyfriends and end up without a place to go. She asks her friend if she could crash at her place. Her friend is not there, but she ends up meeting friendly and not so friendly neighbors. :) Little did she now that moving to that place with change her entire life.

It's a dark story, with lots of action. My favorite part the way the story was told, it just pulls you in. :)
