Unicorn and Yeti each has fun on a swing...when they are swinging. Is there something else on the playground they could play on together? They then find a sparkly rock and argue over who should keep it. And then they enjoy their favorite foods while being skeptical of the other's choice.

A short, sweet, and cutely illustrated graphic novel picture book about sharing with two fantastical friends. Hand this to little fantasy fans just beginning to read.

Unicorn and Yeti are very on-trend with today's kiddos, especially girls or those who like traditionally "girl" things. It does do some teaching about compromise, cause and effect, and trying new things, but it slightly borders on too didactic. (But that comes from someone who usually doesn't read below the middle-grades level, so grain of salt.)

Unicorn and Yeti have experience sharing in a few different ways.

For: beginning readers looking for a cute fantasy setting.

Possible red flags: learning to share; minimal fighting with a friend.

Unicorn and Yeti are adorable! Friends Rock has three short stories featuring two best friends and the fun they have together. I love the graphic novel-like format for early readers.
