Like the Wind is the first book I've read from J. Bengtsson and I really enjoyed it. I listened to the audio book and it was narrated by two of my absolute favorites, Callie Dalton and Zachary Webber.

Breeze is a hairdresser who has horrible luck when it comes to love. Bodhi is famous musician who has found out some family news that shocks him to his core. One weekend while Bodhi is getting away and Breeze is house/animal sitting, they go through something together. This something puts

WOW!! I'm so impressed...

****4.5 Stars****

I have had the best bloody day today. For Christmas, hubby bought me an outdoor setting for beside the pool. For years, I've had dreams of reading/listening and lounging beside the pool with a glass of champagne in my hand. My dreams have been answered and that day has finally arrived. With an audio to listen to, a bloody hot day, a clear schedule and a bottle of champers calling my name, I was one happy camper. Like the Wind was perfect for my dream day

the performance on the audio was great, and the story is good. I liked the building of the relationship between the hero and heroine. But, what I really enjoyed was the action packed fires.

First: Zachary Webber and Callie Dalton? What's not to love!? They are two of my favorite narrators because the way they narrate, their performance just feels natural.

Bodhi's world is falling to pieces when he realizes that he's been told lies by his dad all his life. A wildfire and a beautiful, quirky young woman make him look back and analyse his spiral down in the last months. Breeze is the girl who he saved from the fire. In return, she saves him. From a loveless l

This is a new standalone novel from J Bengtsson with a whole new set of characters and ones you are going to fall for just as strongly as her first series.

Bodhi is a lost young dude who within a few short days, turns into the man he was meant to be. Nothing like an near death experience to waken your senses. I feel the same could be said about Breeze. She was hiding in her own world existing with a small group of trusted friends and family. Running into Bodhi - or was it him that ran into her?!

5 Fateful CROWNS

I absolutely loved this book.

The characters are charming and funny. Bodhi is the leader of boy band who has an awful family life. He seeks reprieve from the fame and pressure, but this leads to him intertwining his life with Bris. There adventure of anonymity is healing for both of them. She gets the lift that is taken from her and has prevented her from moving forward, and Bodi gets the life he always wanted.

The story itself is funny and sexy, and I was

Really loving this! Both narrators are perfection.

No truer words have been spoken about a book. The first line in the blurb provided says it all...

“Prepare to laugh, cry, and fall in love with this enthralling new romance from J. Bengtsson!“

I went into the audible of Like the Wind not knowing the author or much else of the book. Just an eye-catching cover and a curiosity. Wow, I am I ever glad I did. From the very beginning, I was captured by the voice of Bodhi (Shane East). Side note, I love t

Breeze annoyed me a few time especially how she acted when she brought Bohdi to her place. The beginning was intense though. This is my first book reading of J. Bengtsson. I'm still curious about Cake.
**3.5 stars**

I liked many things about this premise:
☑ Wildfire setting
☑ Hero was in a boy band and I really liked his portrayal, seeing the price he had to pay for being in the limelight since he was a child.
☑ The plot with the supposed dead mother wasn't as straight forward as it seemed at first.

But I disliked almost as many things:
☒ There was almost no mention of the wildfire again! Given how famous he was, Bodhi should have done something to support the firefighters or help the people who los

What a pleasant surprise this audible was.  I haven't read/listened to this author yet so once I read the synopsis, I was hooked. I am loving the new AUDIBLE ORIGINAL books. I typically read a book then listen to the audible but I am so glad I took a chance on this audible.

Bodhi and Breeze are brought together at a vulnerable moment, fleeing a fire that could have possibly claimed both their lives.  The writing and narrating was one point, descriptive and had me feeling the heat of the flames a

This was the epitome of a slow burn new adult story.

Overall it was a good story though.

The couple was very cute as individuals and super cute together.

I enjoyed the end though. The last hour or so of the book was the best overall in my opinion.

Zachary Webber was great as always.

Callie I had to warm up to.

Narration was good, but the story was soooooo corny. And the insta love just didn’t work.

This was delightful, as only J. Bengtsson writes -

Can't wait for some sequels.

Callie Dalton and Zachary Webber were fantastic on the audio.

The first half of this book was a solid 5, the second half a 3. I loved the intensity of this couples attempts at survival. Everything that followed was either a little too cheesy or fall into place easy for me.

I know my Opinion isn’t for everyone

It had so much potential. :(

I really enjoyed the beginning of the book, how it starts not know the characters and when they are in the thick of it. I even enjoyed them separately getting to know them.

When it starts to go downhill for me is after the first hanky panky which seemed fast from the time they meet but whateves, but like about a day of them being together she is already falling in love, I just didn’t buy it. I didn’t feel the chemistry. Sex is not

I loved, LOVED, seriously LOVED this audiobook. I never wanted it to end. The narrators were amazing and so beautiful in their speech. Callie Dalton and Zachary Webber brought this 5 star story up another 2 or 3 stars, I know that isn’t a real rating, I’m just sayin’ this is super good! I don’t think it could have been better! These two really sound great together too. The lightheartedness in their voices, with the added playfulness that you could hear in their tone
Okay, this is my first J.Bengtsson book and I wasn't aware it was a New Adult story.
Bodhi and Breeze were fun characters and likable at first. Afterwards, different opinions may be formed about them depending on how you usually like seeing your characters.

There were a lot more descriptions than I am used to. I'm not sure what it is called, but I've heard its a style that's becoming more and more popular (Like everything in present time is described in real-time). ie: "Stumbling out the door, I

Oook so I’m a bit disappointed 😔. Not like this was a bad book and I hated the story, but “Like the wind” was not the Cake book experience I was hoping for. I absolutely loved the Cake series so when I found out J. Bengsston wrote a new romance book featuring a pop-star instead of a rockstar this time around I was ecstatic. Maybe that was my mistake. My expectations where too high? Idk this was not what I expected though.

I will say the beginning of this story was excellent. Very engaging and cap

I found myself listening to the intense firestorm scenes and was reminded of the fires in California last year. The author paints a very vivid picture of the hell the survivors went through. And so this story begins.

Bodhi is a boy bander trying to escape life as he knows it. Breeze was just supposed to animal sit. Then life threw them a curveball and their adventure began. Following them through being everyday people and doing everyday things was entertaining. The shop

Like the Wind is the first book I've read from J. Bengtsson and I listened to the audio. Zachary Webber and Callie Dalton are fantastic, as always! Bodhi and Breeze meet under extraordinary circumstances. They are caught in a fire and he saves her and a gaggle of pets she's taking care of. Because of the fear of death and surviving such a horrible thing together, their connection is intense and immediate. While I was reading this, I kept thinking.... this book reminds me a lot of the book Cake. It was only after I finished the book that I realized it was written by the same author. Imagine that.

Bodhi, has been in the spotlight his whole life, his dad and manager has found career opportunities for him since he was little, and now he's a girl magnet in a popular boy band. His band mates are funny and the way they rip on each other is so entertaining. One night a security officer delivers a

This book caught my interest right away with the characters! Bodhi is a boy band pop star who is going through a rebellious stage after getting a letter, and his antics while trying to go against his father were hilarious. I could not stop laughing at the twinkie debacle in the grocery store , or the thought of the squirrel video on youtube! Breeze is a lovable hair dresser who has a weakness for animals and hippie parents. I really enjoyed how the book followed both characters separately from t ...more

I really enjoyed this audiobook. This story started off and I was worried that it was going to be super emotional, crying my eyes out type of story. But then it actually turned quite comical. The characters are pretty quirky, which is really my jam. And there are hilarious side characters including some furry friends. Bodhi starts off as a troubled boy band member who holds some hostility towards his father and decides to take a time out. He meets Breeze as they are escaping a raging wildfire. I ...more

I always love discovering new-to-me authors and love diving into audiobooks. It took me a minute to get into the story, as we begin with Bodhi's stardom, but I was soon hooked. Life isn't as great as fame makes it look and Bodhi needs a break, before he breaks. However, one thing he isn't expecting is a wildfire. This book had me on the edge of my seat, waiting, struggling to breathe and hoping to heck that Bodhi would get out! Breeze is a kind soul. My heart felt for her plight! Her struggle wi ...more

This may just be the audiobook that makes me want a lot more romance reads in this form! Everything from the story itself to the delivery had me listening to only this until it was finished. I had to know what happened! There have been some audiobooks that I couldn’t continue with simply because of how it was read but this was not one. I loved it so much that I want to find others that these two have worked on and give those a try.

As for the actual story plot, I loved it! It had all the things
