DOWN WITH THE PLAYERS

Alex finds herself on the shore of a distant place - a world unfamiliar.
A world of fantasy and magic. A world that is a game.

NPCs and players all insist she is an NPC, a part of the world. A part of the code of the game. A part of the fantasy to entertain the players. She rejects the idea, for her memories can't just be lies. Could they?

I liked this one, it was a very cool story. It could use another round of proofreading perhaps, but There were some branding terms that irked me to no end, such as calling NPCs nips (which made me yell at the book everytime I saw it), but overall, the relatively few errors certainly don't detract from it's enjoyment.
I especially like how the end ties back to the beginning, (something I didn't see coming), and while there are parts of the story that didn't flow quite as well as most of the

- Thoughts: Fantastic litRPG in an Asimovian way, very well written, greatness and deepness coated in a light reading

This was a fun read. This brought up the age old question. What is it to be "alive"? With that said, I'm not going to get too deep into it with this book because anything I say will be giving it away, but I will say that it does attack a problem with a well though out plot. The book was a fun read, and I really wished that there was some way that they could continue this book, but I don't see that happening. Also, with that said, there are a lot charismatic characters in this story as well as a ...more

LitRpg is a silly genre. This novel indulges in that silliness completely.

Well written and incredibly well narrated, it's a fun addition to the genre. Although for me, the silliness if the premise went so far that I couldn't enjoy it fully.

Good

I really liked this story. Honestly wasn't expecting much but the main character drew me in and it was a nice change of pace reading this type of story from a "npc" point of view.

A darn good book

This book was honestly better than I was expecting. It was well written, the storyline was good and easy to follow, and the characters were likeabke and well made. Its a good read and I would definently read it again.

So, if the NPCs are AI, and they don't come back like a player would - does that make it murder?

Rae Nantes loves to write!

Originally from the Southeast U.S., they now live in sunny LA.
Former military and intelligence analyst, they now attend school and live a relatively nomadic lifestyle (Like a bum! Yay!).
Rae loves pizza, coffee, and not being reminded of the eventual heat death of the universe. So much fun!
