This book makes you feel like you have a best friend right by your side giving you not only hope, but practical tools to bring into your day to day to help with feelings of low self worth, depression and anxiety. As someone who has read a lot of self-help and personal development books, this one stands out because the author Andrea Loewen is so honest about her own journey, sharing stories and how she got to a place of truly liking herself. Full disclosure: I am the person whose quote appears on the back panel of Feeling Better: A Field Guide to Liking Yourself (and meant every word). But that shouldn't disqualify me from writing a review after purchasing my own copy and reading it. I found A Field Guide a brave and personal story about dealing with depression. With each chapter dealing with different coping mechanisms, it is a valuable resource for others looking for practical and valuable advice.
