This was just ok for me. I think the biggest problem is that I'm just not a big fan of novellas. I mostly decided to read this because I wanted to hit a certain number of books read for the year and this would help me get there. It did have some cute moments, but everything just felt so rushed and things weren't really explained to my satisfaction. And then instead of the characters really having a good conversation about the future in the end, they just say some cliched things in an extended se

A delightful surprise dropped by Ginger Scott for the Holidays. Diced is a romantic novella with a second chance perfect for the new year. Jamie and Mia meet again in a kitchen much like how their relationship started ten years prior. Unfortunate circumstances of a youth misspent separated them and now Jamie is back when Mia needs him the most. Sparks fly and passion ensues in Mia's kitchen on the biggest night of her life. Ginger Scott's writing, as usual, enga ...more

I loved Diced! It was such a fun romance revolving around chefs. I'm not normally into books about chefs because sometimes the food descriptions take over, but this one was perfectly balanced. I was also impressed with how quickly I connected to the main character and her story. It takes a talented writer to make you feel as connected in a novella as in a full length novel. Ginger Scott achieved that with this one. It was such a fun holiday read.

This one was a bit of a miss for me. I truly loved the premise of two chefs who find their way back to each other after their love went south. The two main characters of Mia and Jamie are pretty perfect together and in the short 50+ pages we get their history and the reasons for their break up 10 years prior.
But perhaps it's the length that made the story feel rushed and I honestly just wanted more. To me it's got the potential to be so much more should the author feel the need to expand upon it ...more

I'm normally not a fan of novellas because I feel like they're rushed and leave out so much, but I have to admit I was pretty surprised by this one. I'm sure it could have been expanded more, but I loved it this way.
Short and sweet. Secrets. A bit of angst and steam. A life changing dinner to be made. One locked fridge door. Add all this together for a sweet little story that you will love!

Such a fun read!
A straight-up delightful read during this holiday season. You get caught up in the characters the way Ginger writes them. It's almost like you're in their heads as they play off each other. Well worth both the price and the experience! :) ...more

Ginger Scott is an Amazon-bestselling, Goodreads Choice Award and Rita award-nominated author of several young and new adult romances, including The Waiting Series, The Falling Series, The Harper Boys, The Hard Count, Cry Baby and her recent Varsity Series. A sucker for a good romance, Ginger’s other passion is sports, and she often blends the two in her stories. When she's not writing, the odds a
