A Crazy-much Love is a childrens book written in the words of two parents to their adoptive daughter. Joy Jordon-Lakes book, which draws on her own experience as an adoptive mom, takes the tenderness of Ill Love You For Always but adds a delightful playfulness (with a surprising twist about a dogI wont give it away). Illustrator Sonia Sanchez surrounds Joys words with exuberant illustrations, peppered with polka dots and hearts that give a concrete manifestation to the feelings expressed. ...more

This is author, Joy Jordan-Lakes first childrens book after writing multiple books for adults. She wrote it after her own experience adopting her child from China. There arent enough childrens books that focus on the love of an adoptive family and with the authors own personal experience, I think she has described the emotions and love so well in this book.

This is the story of two adults hoping and bursting with love for a child they are waiting for. Now that she is older, they can tell her the

Reading Joy Jordan-Lakes newest book, A Crazy Much Love, reminded me of all the days of reading with my littles. We read books over and over again because the illustrations were glorious, because the stories were fun and because we all felt loved. This beautiful new book brings all of that to readers. A story of choosing a child through adoption, this sweet story reminds all of us of the depth and breadth of our love for our children. And how much and how often we should remind them of it. When ...more

Thank you to the publisher for the review copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Oh, this joyful, wonderful book! This charming story whisks you along on two parents joyful journey to becoming a family. The story is told as much through the illustrations, as though the words. You imagine their expectations and hope as they ponder the color possibilities for the nursery and hang the stars above the crib. You see the joy on their dreamy faces as they gaze at the picture of their future

What a beautiful book with a beautiful message! This adoption story account, told from adoptive parents' point of view, will warm your heart and the hearts of anyone you know, especially those who have adopted or been adopted. The narrative starts with the dreaming, praying and the big wait to get the word that their baby is ready to come home. There's a dramatic travel scene in these gorgeous illustrations that shows the vastness of the space covered "until you were snuggled up safe in our ...more

Joy Jordan-Lake has used her own adoption experiences to relate the journey of a couple who have chosen foreign adoption. From the waiting period to the time they hold their baby for the first time; from her first steps to her stepping on the school bus for the first time---there are so many special moments shared in A Crazy-Much Love.

The lyrical words of the author and the colorful illustrations by Sonia Sanchez make this a book that children will love and the story is one that parents will

A Crazy Much Love by Joy Jordan Lake is a very well written book for children, well for anyone that truly loves their family. This book is written using the authors own experience with adopting her daughter from China. It shows the parents waiting for their child, raising the child and loving the child totally. While reading this I thought of my brother and my sister in law going thru everything in this book with my two beautiful nieces from China. It shows the child how wanted and crazy much ...more

A Crazy Much Love is bound to be a classic. Beautiful illustrations along with a sweet tale which is in the same vein as Robert Munsch's Love You Forever tug at the reader's heartstrings. Although this is about a child adopted from overseas, the tale is an excellent read for all families as a reminder that familial love is universal even if it looks different than one's own.

This is a beautiful book in story and in art. It's definitely a must read for every family no matter how big or small or jumbled of a mess that family might be. Every parent should read this to their child.
