The book documents a workshop in Moscow in June 2001 between the Russian Academy of Sciences and the American one, with the addition of government and academical officials on from both sides. The topic is terrorism and its different faces (nuclear, biological, etc.).
There's a lot of very interesting stuff, some of which in expanded form became a reality after the 11th of September that year. There's also a lot of self-serving crap and outright manipulation. Nevertheless, a lot of the presentations/lectures in the book are worth reading for their content (I'd recommend the one by Viktor Luneev, "Organized Crime and Terrorism".
