Rate this book
The next heartwarming and inspirational Christmas story by USA Today Bestselling author, Nancy Naigle.

Growing up, Liz Westmoreland dreamed of taking over her grandparents inn located in the small mountain town of Angels Creek only for it to be sold before she ever got the chance. While browsing the internet, she stumbles upon a listing for what looks to be the picturesque inn and it’s set to go to auction. Liz places a bid, and by a miracle, wins the auction. But when she gets there she finds the property in significant disrepair.

When Matt Hardy narrowly lost the inn and property that butted his land, he just hoped it wasn't another city slicker coming to make matters worse after the previous owners gutted the place for an art gallery. But the minute he recognized the sweet, freckle-faced girl from his childhood and heard her plans to reopen the inn, he jumps at the chance to help his childhood crush restore a place where he made so many fond memories.

While working on repairs, Liz and Matt discover her grandmother’s collection of angels in one of the cabins. When the angels start mysteriously showing up all over the inn, she begins to look at them as reassurance—that restoring the inn is what she's meant to do. But when an accident leaves Liz feeling like she made a mistake, will Matt—and the residents of Angels Creek—be able to show Liz that she's found a home? And possibly true love as well?

Christmas Angels by Nancy Naigle

Contemporary romance. Perfect for a Hallmark holiday movie.

Liz has always dreamed of someday owning a country inn similar to what her grandparents previously owned. When she finds the exact inn on the auction block she dives in and is the successful winning bid. Sight unseen, Liz heads up to Angels Creek to find her new life dream was abandoned and in need of complete renovation. The small town rallies and with Matt as head contractor, the inn is rebuilt and holiday memories return for everyone. Matt has his own designs on Liz and declares to the local priest that Liz is the woman he’s going to marry. Now Matt has to convince Liz to forget the city and become a permanent resident of Angels Creek.

A heartwarming and sweet romance with hints at the end of who might be the next couple to be matched up.
Loved the human bowling. So much fun but I’m thinking I’d be exhausted half way through!
Could have done without the praying for answers but it wasn’t extensive beyond a few mentions of faith.

Totally reminded me of the sentimental and joyous Hallmark holiday movies.

I received a copy of the book from NetGalley. I’ve purchased a copy to share.

Color me a sucker for Hallmark holiday movies and Nancy Naigle's book, Christmas Angels was like reading the script for just that! It ticked every box for me: Restoration of an Inn - check. Romantic man to help with the restoration - check. Small town pitching in - check. Christmas! Check Check Check.  I loved it all!

Liz has very fond memories of her grandparent's inn and always wanted to own an one just like it. Each night she pores over real estate listings hoping to find something just like theirs when one night she sees an ad for what appears to be their very inn for auction. Putting in a bid, sight unseen, Liz wins the inn. However, upon arrival, she discovers she should have seen the place before bidding. Not to have her enthusiasm dampened, she finds Matt to help her rebuild/restore the inn to its former glory. What she doesn't realize is that Matt also put in a bid on the inn. Will these two rivals find harmony and love at the inn? Will the small town people welcome her into their fold? Welllll, it IS a Christmas love story but it is also one that you will enjoy reading from start to finish, knowing there is a happy ending

Great story and a sweet romance.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What would you do if you happened upon a family home on the auction block? What would you do if that was your dream home with memories of happy times?
If you were like the main character who had saved for years upon years, you just hop in and buy it and figure it out later. I know that is what I would do.
This story radiates everything that we remember in our happy times with family. Special times with Grandparents and all of those fabulous heartwarming memories that can still make an impact years later.
With amazing descriptions of the lodge type homes and Christmas exploding everywhere, this story made me crave my home. Add in a fabulous guy who crushed hard on you when you were kids, and you have a story that is calling your name.
I loved Matt. OMG he was a fabulous character and literally would give this gal anything. He busted tail making her dreams come true.
I enjoyed Liz’s character too, but sometimes she came across a bit snarky and I would wonder why. Never did put my finger on it.
The author crafted and recreated an American Dream with this Christmas story. It made me so happy to read it! You have to put it on your list!
This is a sweet tale of a big city girl who returns to her roots and fulfills a dream she has had ever since she left. Family, community and a collection of Christmas Angels all come together to make Liz's dream a reality and to help Liz and Matt find the gift of true love.
Liz Westmoreland loved the time she got to spend with her grandparents at their inn in Angels Creek. They were the best times of her life and when her grandparents sold the inn, she began to dream of one day having a place just like it. Grown up Liz is a task driven business woman, but has never given up on her dream. When she comes across her grandparents' lodge on an auction site, no one is going to talk her out of buying it.
Be careful what you wish for - you just might get it. When Liz lays eyes on the property in person, she is dismayed, to say the least, at what had become of the lovely old inn. Liz knew it would be a project, but she didn't think it would be such a big project.
Matt Hardy also bid on the lodge and just hoped it went to someone who would restore it. When he meets the new owner he is surprised to recognize the Westmoreland's granddaughter and pleased she wants to restore the old place. Matt's fondest memories were of the inn and the spirit of community the Westmoreland's created and also of their cute, feisty granddaughter.
Matt offers his help, and since he did do hid due diligence, what he found the old place needed. Liz needs all the help she can get and when she has an accident and second thoughts on the whole project, she gets some help from the Christmas Angels, of the human variety.
This has everything you could want in a holiday-themed story.
We have a woman with sweet, warm, reassuring feelings when remembering her grandparents' inn. How she loved it there. It was a small town but never small in love. This woman grows to be successful, capable and has the means to follow her own dreams.
Dreams which were not to happen. When the grandparents sold the place she adored she wasn't able to make any type of offer. Now she is in that position and has decided she will create her own inn. She goes online, sees a property that seems just right and makes the bid without even going to see it in person.
Is that a bit Cray Cray...Yes, and everyone she has talked to about this endeavor agrees, NUTS.
But our gal knows deep down inside, if this is meant to happen she will get the bid.
She gets the bid and true to her vow, off she goes to that small town she loved, leaving the big city behind for a while.
Our gal wasn't the only one bidding on this property. The fella who was the only other viable bidder lives in town has his property right next to the inn he wanted and prays the one who won the bid is not going to keep the place modern and cold as the last owners.
When the new owner comes to claim the place, she has a huge shock. It was gutted, literally, and everything she loved about it is gone. She is determined to bring it back to its old glory but she is going to need some help. Lucky for her, the neighbor remembers her as the teenage crush he had and bids the project to help.
Love comes to us in all ways...through restoring an inn, having two people find each other, and in this case...Magical Tree Topping Christmas Angels guiding the way.
Christmas Angels by Nancy Naigle is a holiday contemporary romance that would make a perfect Hallmark Christmas movie. This heartwarming and sweet story takes place in a charming small town and includes plenty of Christmas elements to bring the season to life.
As a child Liz Westmoreland had spent a lot of time visiting her grandparents in the small mountain town of Antler Creek where they owned an Inn. While Liz was growing up those visits were the favorite parts of her childhood and as she got older it became her dream to one day own and operate the Inn herself.
After years of saving Liz one night stumbles on an auction ending the next day of the property her grandparents had owned before passing. Taking a leap of faith Liz manages to win the auction but when she arrives in Antler Creek the state of the Inn worries her until the meets Matt Hardy who agrees to help Liz begin renovations.
Christmas Angels had everything I could wish for all wrapped into this wonderful Christmas story. The lovely small town was full of excellent secondary characters that all cared for one another and welcomed Liz with open arms. The romance was one that had a background to build upon and took it’s time building. There were fun activities, cute kids, a lovable dog with everyone coming together for the holiday, a bundle of fun from start to finish.
I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.
Talk about a book that should be made into a movie or even a show. Christmas Angels could be the next Virgin River, but in a limited series form. Thank goodness for an active imagination, because I was able to picture this entire book like it was a movie as I read. Nancy Naigle is gifted with words and Christmas Angels is full of beautiful, developed descriptions that make it all come to life. While I've had this book on my shelf for a while, it won't be one that I read and never visit again, that's for sure. This is one of the best Christmas-y reads I've had the pleasure of reading in quite a while. A slow burn romance with a ton of small town heart.
Liz is one of those characters that feels real. She isn't an over the top Scrooge and she isn't Mrs. Claus, she's just normal with a big heart and fond Christmas memories. The story initially doesn't feel like a holiday read, Liz is going after a dream and it'll take months to happen, but the time it has to move towards the season makes for a great slow burn. Matt is the perfect kind of hero, too. He's all southern charm, family-oriented, and, of course, a bit burned by love. These two fit from the instant you see them on a page together, but the real joy in this book is watching them work on Liz' dream and stumbling along the way to one another. Plus, the secondary characters in this book and all the little side plots are just excellent. It's a longer Christmas read, but it's worth it.
Christmas Angels is a sweet, feel good story to get you in the Christmas spirit. It is a story of love-of family and friends, small town neighborly friendship and love, new love and rekindling old memories for new ones.
Liz Westmoreland is very successful at starting up businesses living in Charlotte, North Carolina, but she has always had a dream of buying her deceased beloved grandparents' lodge in the mountains of North Carolina. When she stumbles on an auction that includes the lodge, she outbids everyone else to buy it, sight unseen. It is quite depressing to see the condition it is in but with a tip from a local, she hires Matt Hardy, a local guy home from Chicago for the holidays, to manage the renovations. What happens is amazing as the whole town welcomes her back to bring the old lodge to its former glory. Everyone pitches in a hand and things move along speedily. Liz is overwhelmed with the generous outpouring and maybe even a little romance is in the air-after the work is done, of course. This is a great holiday read that I recommend.
A sweet holiday romance.
I liked the characters but the dialogue and the writing in general was sooo cheesy to me. Like cringey cheesy. I couldn’t get into it. Then Liz was annoyingly stubborn sometimes.
It was totally clean and respectful which was really nice.
Simply magically delightful! A young girl’s memories of happy times and love can become a reality once again as an adult when Fate, or perhaps a Christmas angel give Liz Westmoreland what she always dreamed of, a chance to own the inn her grandparents sold years before. For Liz, it could be a dream come true or her worst nightmare when the man next door steps in to save the day and hopefully rekindle his own childhood dreams.
Nancy Naigle’s CHRISTMAS ANGELS is a heartwarming tale of finding what your heart truly wants in a small town with a huge heart!
Kind of like a Hallmark card with chapters, this tale sparkles with the magic of the holiday season, fond memories and true love! Go ahead and relax into sweet romance while getting your secret holiday reading fix!
Liz purchased her grandparents old lodge, sight unseen, and wasn’t fully prepared for the state of disrepair it was in. With the help of locals and Matt, an architect and local favorite who’s harboring a childhood crush on Liz herself, Liz starts working on restoring the lodge to its former glory. Seeking reassurance that she’s on the right track, Liz is constantly looking for signs to back up her hasty purchase. All is going well until an injury sidelines her and then she’s got plenty of time to sit, stew, and question if she’s bitten off more then she can chew.
I thought this was a really sweet, yet very slow read. I loved the locals, Maizey, Flossie, and Matt’s workers were a riot! Enter good gossip to the mix and I found myself laughing at the information highway! I also liked the concept of restoring the lodge and uplifting not just Liz, but the town itself too. However, I didn’t care for the romantic aspect. Matt’s interest in Liz was cute and in his defense, he worked hard to get her to notice him romantically, and I truly believe he had feelings for her. But Liz was a hard sell. She was wasn’t just wrapped up in the lodge. She lived and breathed it to the umpteenth degree. And she was completely oblivious to Matt. Even when the entire town clued her in, she still doubted his feelings. So when her about-face happened, it was hard pill for me to swallow. What kind of guy gives cheap labor, cooks great meals, checks on you in a snow storm, is available to you at all hours of the day and lets you keep his number on speed dial, and drags the whole town into a huge plan to cheer you up if he isn’t interested in dating? There’s being neighborly...and then there’s being neighborly!
I do have to mention Elvis, Matt’s dog, because he was my favorite character. I thought he had some of the cutest moments! This adorably, lazy puppy had a knack for presenting himself at just the right time and was appropriately named with his smirky smile and hip wiggling!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Christmas Angels was an utter sweet, heartwarming, feel good Christmas read.
Liz had always wanted to take over her grandparents in Angels Creek. When she sees it come up for auction, Liz jumps at the chance to make her dreams come true. But when she arrives she discovers the inn has fallen in disrepair and will need the help of Matt Hardy.
Matt Hardy lost his bid for the local inn that butts up to his property but when he meets the winner, Liz, the his childhood crush that got away. Matt puts his wooing plans into because he doesn’t plan to let her get away again.
This is just one of those feel good holiday reads that push you right into the holiday spirit.
In my house, it is no secret that I am absolutely obsessed with Christmas movies…especially those on the Hallmark channel, and yes, I watch them all year long. So naturally, when I heard that reading Christmas Angels is reminiscent of those glorious Hallmark movies, I needed this story like my life depended on it.
Liz Westmoreland still remembers the wonderful times she experienced at her grandparents’ inn when she was a little girl. She always felt like her real home was Angel Creek, which was a feeling that started leaching into her adult life. When the opportunity to buy her grandparents’ inn at an auction arose, Liz immediately abandoned everything else with the hopes of reliving those glorious memories. Unfortunately, when she arrives to her newly acquired inn, it’s in complete disarray. Liz wonders if she made a mistake, but restoring the inn to its original glory is all she’s ever wanted in life, even if it means struggling along the way.
Matt Hardy wanted nothing more than to buy the inn that held all of his wonderful childhood memories, but luck definitely wasn’t in his favor. He lost the inn to yet another big city outsider. He felt hopeless until he realized that the buyer was no one than Liz, the girl he had a crush on as a kid all those years ago. When Liz needs help to repair the inn and restore it to its original glory, he can’t jump fast enough at the opportunity to take on the project. If he can give Liz what’s she’s been missing all these years in the inn, maybe Liz will finally see that Angels Creek is where she’s meant to be…and hopefully with him.
Oh. My. God. I loved absolutely loved both Liz and Matt. I respect Liz for taking on the restoration project that the inn required. Even though her parents and friends were adamantly against it, she refused to give in to their negativity even when it seemed like all hope was lost. And Matt. He was the perfect complement to Liz’s character. Liz was adamant about her rules of not dating anyone she works with, but Matt never let that affect his ego or ability to do his job. Even though his feelings for Liz were always on his sleeve (even if Liz did choose to ignore them), he never smothered her or set out to control the restoration project. Everything that he did was from the amazingly large heart that he has. I loved that their relationship was a natural progression over time without any of it being forced or rushed.
Overall, Naigle’s Christmas Angels was a heartwarming holiday romance that reminded me of cozy nights in front of the fire while sipping on a large mug of hot chocolate topped with extra marshmallows. If you’re looking for a holiday read this upcoming season, I implore you to pick this one up!
Thank you to St. Martin’s Press for providing an ARC. This did not influence my review. All opinions are my own.
I found this to be a very heartwarming book with a sweet romance. In this book, Liz Westmoreland suddenly has the opportunity to buy the inn that was once her grandparents' Bed and Breakfast. It has been her dream to own it one day, and she sets out to start her new life there with joy in her heart. Once she arrives, she finds that the inn has pretty much been gutted, and is far from ready to operate as a Bed and Breakfast.
Liz struggles with feeling like she might be doing the wrong thing in trying to make her dream of operating the B&B come true. She reconnects with people who were her grandparents friend and neighbors, and even some she knew when she visited as a child. Matt Hardy is one of those, and he offers to help her with the restoration of the inn. Liz has to decide if she should risk it all to stay and try to fulfill her dream, or go back to her old, more secure lifestyle.
My favorite part of this book was the interaction between Liz and Matt, both of whom i thought were great characters. I also really loved the setting of this book.
I'm am giving this a 3.5 stars. The story of a woman who want to buy and renovate her Grandparents old bed and breakfast but is way over her head when she buys it sight unseen. There she gets her old crush to help her bring the old home back to life. On her journey she meets the town who is all for the change in the old house, but will she believe that its possible to change the house for the better. The story was sweet and fun to read. No I am not one that is into watching home improvements myself so I found some of the book boring when they focused on the house remodeling but I love the story of the 2 main characters and it had me wondering if they will or won't end up together. Such a fun holiday read and if you love watching the home improvement channel you will definitely love this book!!
Liz Westmoreland has fond memories of spending Christmas and summers at her Grandparents Inn at Angels Creek and dreams of the day when she can return to the Inn as the owner. When she notices that the Inn is up for auction, she makes a bid and learns she is the successful bidder. Having bought the Inn sight unseen, she is disappointed to see that the Inn has been transformed into an art gallery and needs a lot of work to bring it back to its former glory. Luckily, she meets Matt Hardy who works as her contractor to restore the Inn. Matt remembers Liz from her childhood times at the Inn and has always had a crush on her.
One of the most beautiful things about this story is Liz’s memories of her Grandparent’s collection of Christmas Angels. She is sure they are lost to the previous owners of the Inn, but when they start showing up at the Inn she is obviously delighted. She feels this is a sign from her Grandparents that she made the right decision in restoring the Inn.
This story is perfect for those who love a Christmas story. I loved the location of the story and the sense of the community looking out for one another. I believe this will be a Hallmark Christmas movie and I look forward to watching it portrayed on film. I listened to the audiobook version of this book and enjoyed Kristin Kalbli’s performance.
Liz Westmoreland has great memories of her grandparents’ inn, so when she has the opportunity to buy it at auction, she cannot resist the trip down memory lane. However, upon visiting, she realizes it is not the same inn she remembers, and a whole lot of work will be needed to restore it. Luckily, Matt Hardy is available to help throughout the holiday season (and in the process, win her heart, thanks to a childhood crush).
Nancy Naigle’s Christmas Angels is a sweet, Hallmark-y kind of Christmas story. It all happens a little easily, but I still had fun with Liz and Matt—and the town that circles around them. It is perfect to read under a cozy blanket and with a warm beverage in hand this time of year, so if you’re in need of a quick, cute read, this could it.
Letztes Jahr hab ich schon zwei Bücher von dieser Autorin gelesen und die haben mir echt gut gefallen, daher musste dieses unbedingt bei mir einziehen. Es hat mir wieder gut gefallen, wobei ich das erste Buch von der Autorin noch lieber hatte. Hier gab es auch wieder dieses Kleinstadtfeeling und das liebe ich. Ich mag den Zusammenhalt der Menschen und wie sie alle zusammenhelfen um ihre Nachbarn in schlimmen Zeiten beistehen. Ich mag den Schreibstil der Autorin und das Weihnachtfeeling, dass den Leser überkommt. Die Charaktere sind alle sympatisch und liebenswert gewesen.
Is it ever too early to read Christmas books - the correct answer is NO! and I won't take any other.
Christmas Angels is a sweet, beautiful tale of going after your dreams.
Childhood dreams of family and places are what drive our lovely lady Liz. The place radiates everything she has always love and what she has dreamed of for years. And I can't blame her I want to move with her.
And then there is Matt. Oh my gosh, that man! Move over Liz, I am trying to get that man for myself.
I love the small town vibe of Christmas Angels. The sense of community is something you just don't get living in bigger towns or cities.
This was a slow burn of a romance, but it didn't feel dragged out. Our lovelies just took their time to get there.
Now i need some hot chocolate, STAT!
Liz Westmoreland's fondest memories are the times she spent with her grandparents at their Bed and Breakfast in Angel Creek, a small town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. She was disappointed when they sold the Inn to travel around the country. On a random internet search Liz discovers the old Bed and Breakfast up for auction and she is determined to be the winning bid and restore the Inn to it's glory. Returning to Angel Creek renews Liz's sense of home and the joys and closeness of small town friendliness. As the restorations move forward so too does the budding romance between Liz and Matt, her hunky contractor. Has Liz found her new forever place to call home?
A wonderful, charming heartwarming Christmas romance.
Heartwarming book you'll be glad you read.
Liz Westmoreland wears her heart on her sleeve when it concerns her grandparents inn.
She carries a smile on her face and her heart in her pocket. She has such fond memories of their inn and her time there with them as a child before they sold it and moved away and she moved out of town. When she returns to town with her burning dream to purchase the inn she is dismayed to see it has fallen into disrepair.
Matt Hardy had a childhood crush on her and gladly hires on as her contractor but is it a good idea? Is there a little Christmas magic sprinkled in among her grandmothers angels still on the property?
Will Liz be able to stick with her plan of not dating those she works with?
How will the towns folk react to Liz returning to the inn and remodeling it to reopen when they still remember her grandparents? Will they welcome her or snub her?
The descriptions described in the book makes me want to find a quaint little inn and spend the winter there with the snow softly falling outside.
Christmas Angels is a sweet, heartwarming, feel-good romance: a nice, light Christmassy read that reminds me of the best aspects of a Hallmark movie.
The book starts off a little slowly, and didn’t really hold my attention until about a quarter to a third of the way in, when the main characters finally start actually working on the lodge renovation. The heroine and hero are both likable, possibly a little too much so. Matt appears to have no flaws and even his sister thinks he is quite a catch (not in a squicky way! She’s encouraging Liz to take a chance on Matt.) Liz has a few flaws, but they aren’t deep. Despite the characters’ near-perfection, I enjoyed their romance and was rooting for them to get together.
The town of Antler Creek is idyllic (again, perhaps a little too idyllic, but in a very comforting way.) Everyone there seems delighted that Liz has bought her grandparents’ old lodge and supports her plans to reopen it. The secondary characters in the town are all down-to-earth, kind, cheerful people; I wouldn’t mind living in town like that! I especially liked the cafe owner/waitress, Maizey, and the young mother who invites Liz to help make Christmas cookies.
The plot really centers around Liz and Matt’s efforts to renovate the lodge, and whether Liz will stay and realize her dreams, or give up and go back to her old job. Other than a physical injury, there are no real setbacks and very little tension, which is quickly resolved… all of which is just fine in a holiday novel. The only secondary character I didn’t like is Liz’s friend Dan, who is self-centered and unsupportive. I couldn’t see why she put up with him, let alone liked him.
I mentioned that the romance is sweet, and I mean that in both senses of the word. Liz and Matt only get as far as kissing. Also, they are both Christian, of some unspecified denomination; they attend church, and Liz prays on page at least once. However, if you prefer your fiction on the secular side, don’t worry; the faith aspects are neither preachy nor overly emphasized. It’s simply one facet of each of the main characters, and doesn’t dominate the novel as a whole, or the characters’ thoughts. Personally, I would have been happy with a little more of it, as I suspect their faith motivates both Liz and Matt — if not regarding the lodge, then in their dealings with the people around them.
I would definitely recommend Christmas Angels when you’re in the mood for a light, charming, and comforting holiday romance.
Liz's grandparents owned an Inn that she dreamed of one day taking over. Located in the small mountain town of Antler Creek it holds beautiful memories that she has always held close to her heart. When she comes across the Inn up for auction she throws caution to the wind and bids on it sight unseen. She is beyond thrilled when she wins the auction and is ready to make big changes in her life. Matt lives in the town of Antler Creek and was looking forward to bringing its old Inn back to life. The only problem is that he lost the bid to someone else and his dreams of bringing it back to life are dead. He hopes that the new owner will do the place justice and not turn it into something unseemly. He soon gets a surprise when he learns the granddaughter of its previous owners is the one who bought it. He has great memories of her and the time she spent in Antler Creek with her grandparents. Liz soon takes on Matt as a contractor and the two hope to turn the Inn back into the wonderful show place it was. As the two work together sparks start to fly and feelings pop up between them. Will the two make a leap, and trust each other and how they feel or will they let love pass them by? What a wonderfully written holiday romance that will definitely bring forth the Christmas spirit. It will have you falling in love with not only the setting but the well written characters as well. I look forward to reading more from this author and can't wait to see where she transports me next.
I am a Christmas story lover; so this one was a perfect choice for me. It's funny, that as I am reading the story; in my mind, I kept saying to myself that this would make a perfect Hallmark Christmas movie. Then within the story, the author mentions Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel and I had a good chuckle.
This is a wonderful story about "coming home" again. It is a beautifully written holiday story about 2 people; Liz & Matt, that met as youngsters and then meet again adults; strangely enough bidding on the same piece of property in Antler Creek in an on-line auction site. Matt remembers Liz; but, Liz doesn't recall Matt. Matt had a huge crush on Liz; way back when....
This is such a lovely story about small towns and a community that truly embraces their neighbors and helps out whenever and wherever they might be needed. I loved the small town charm of Antler Creek and its people.
Christmas Angels by Nancy Naigle is a most delightful Christmas contemporary novel that will get you in the festive mood.
The novel is about following your heart’s desire and new beginnings. When God places a dream in your heart, you need to grasp it with both hands and hold on. When others come on board with your dream, amazing things can happen.
Nancy Naigle has perfectly captured small town living. Needs are met, warm welcomes wait, hearts are opened to stranger, family and friends. A warm atmosphere envelopes the reader as we catch the Christmas mood.
Nancy Naigle’s words evoke all that Christmas should be – snow, lights, festivities, family and friends. She lights the fire of the perfect Christmas within hearts.
Characters are recovering from bereavement. We all have that safe, go-to place in our mind where our memories live on. As an old inn is renovated and brought back to life, so a character is revived and fulfilled.
Christmas Angels was such a delightful, charming read. It was my first book by Nancy Naigle but I shall be reading more.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.
