For thirteen years, Senri has made it his mission to take revenge on the man with the "fire" scar who took his twin brother from him. Recognizing his pursuit will require a certain amount of funding, Senri has saved and schemed for years, but his latest get-rich-quick con has just been cracked wide open! With his associates in danger, Senri stands to lost everything he's built. It may be a costly setback, or it may be fate has given him a new avenue for tracking down his brother's killer!
I think this series provides a interesting plotline. I think the characters are doing things I won't expect, which keeps me interested. I like how the main character isn't a good guy, not really. His mind is on one thing, revenge. But you get a bit more past in this, learning how he dealt with the passing of his brother and family.
I also do enjoy the actual plot. But the side cast needs to do more to impress me. The way the plot is sometimes clunky, telling instead of showing. I think the major difference between this and Erased was Erased had excellent characters, and this just has a interesting main lead but not much else.
Still intrigued where we will go though. A 3 out of 5.
Pretty low-key for what is ostensibly a murder mystery thriller. The big revelation this time was totally telegraphed in the first volume, but at least they aren't going to drag it out and can move on to the next stage. I might have went two stars if not for the introduction of an intriguing Yakuza thug. I hope he plays a large part in future volumes.
*Maybe a 2.5* I'm still super confused and not a huge fan of the way the story is moving, but I'm also kind of intrigued? Idk I'm not sure if I'll keep going with this one.
Wooooow !
Rating: 3.5 (rounded down). Second volume of the manga series ✒. Yet another great manga print: hardcover, high quality paper, ink. But also this second time it didn't let me enjoy it much. Characters feel fake, I don't like almost anyone, too much violence, some criminal stuff... But, I am still eager to know what had happened with the main character's family. I have a strong hope for a plot twist, but somehow it worries me that I hope too much. Also, if I didn't read the first volume I wouldn't miss anything, that was quite annoying!
As a nice last word towards this manga, here is my favourite quote: "I want to become the kind of person ...my young self would want standing by her side".
This series is already getting really interesting. I'm really wondering how it will turn out. The only thing I really hope for is that Senri starts to open up emotionally, even if he just has a break down. He's really locked up right now and it's hard to connect with how he's really feeling. Flashbacks are great, but a good breakdown would really "break down" that barrier of fully understanding how he feels.
This volume draws you in even more than the first did. The first volume expertly gives a back story while this one helps you get to know the characters more and see the extent they go to in order to get what they want.
I don’t think I’ll be picking up any more of this series. It’s pretty boring and I’m not really attached to any of the characters. The only interesting parts are the flashbacks of Senri’s memories with his brother. Nothing is really compelling me to pick up another volume.
OK !
I should have expected the reveal at the last part, but I still feel thrilled when the shared vision came back. But that only added more questions to the mystery and I'm excited to find out!

It can't just leave it there! Just as thrilling and captivating as the first volume. Cannot wait to read the next one! And the artwork? Really captured the darkness and sadness of the story.
