A quick, enjoyable and purposeful read

I don’t really read a lot of non-fiction books; I'm glad that this novel was one of the few exceptions. Regrettably, I was a little thrown with the opening. I felt like we had gotten to Sri Lanka a tad too quickly and the conversation between Maddy and Cindy just didn’t seem realistic. The writing style of the author also took a little getting used to. Then again this might be due to the fact that most of the books I've read were in American as opposed to Br

Based on a true story, the Shattered Moon: When a romantic dream turns into a nightmare, surprised me with its power. I had started the book last night with the intention to quickly skim through the pages, but found myself unable to put it down. I was engrossed in the tale, often finding myself outraged, anxious, sad and happy as the events unfolded in my Kindle app.
