I have three deadly problems:
1. I've seriously offended a maniacal killer.
2. I just had a bullet removed from my brain.
3. My new daughter is growing up too fast--and she's in the line of fire.

Living on an obscure, technology-free island off California means safety from the murderer who hunts Kellen Adams and her new family.... Or does it? Family time becomes terror-time, a

Revenge comes at different temperatures. Strangers She Knows (Cape Charade #3) explores the possibilities centered around a family who has already endured way too much.
There is the revenge “best served cold” which is the choice of a demented serial killer with a serious grudge against Kellen and Max Di Luca. After all, the killer has been patient enough to wait on the removal of a bullet from Kellen’s brain and for her to work through all of the severe complications resulting from her surgery.

In this thrilling conclusion of the Cape Charade series, Kellen is finally free to live a quiet life. Well, actually, she is rather forced to do so. She has just had a bullet removed from her brain and she is currently striving to regain some skills. She is now with her husband, Max and daughter Rae.

However, Kellen is not so safe after all. Someone has managed to escape prison, thus forcing Kellen and her family to flee in order to survive. What a challenge for Kellen. She has proven to be a str

Strangers She Knows by Christina Dodd is the third book in Cape Charade series. Each book in this fast paced series can be read on its own since the author provides a recap (just enough to catch you up, but not too much as to spoil the other books in the series for new readers). Kellen Adams Di Luca has gone through so much in the last few years. She is denied her wedding night and honeymoon when the bullet in her brain shifts requiring immediate surgery. Kellen does survive the surgery, but she ...more

As the third book in the Cape Charade series, I would recommend reading these in order. However, this one does a great job of recapping important information from previous books, so it could be read as a stand-alone if required. STRANGERS SHE KNOWS follows Kellen, Max, and Rae after they have already been through so much. Kellen, who is not really Kellen, has had brain surgery to remove the bullet in her head and is still doing the hard work of recovering- however, she is alive, so that is certa ...more

I have to admit that it is rare that I enjoy a thriller. It really takes an exceptional author and a great plot to keep me super into it. This book kept me up half the night! I could not put it down. Christina Dodd is an amazing writer. She has a knack of creating dangerous and scary stories in the most beautiful and mysterious of locations while also making the reader fall in love with the characters. Agh! I have so many good things to say about this book. I read the second book in this series ...more

A big thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin romance for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Is this part of a series? I felt sort of like I walked into the.middle.of a conversation. This reads just ok as a stand alone. I truly felt like I was missing a lot of information, maybe a chapter about what happens before we arrive? I liked the book, it has a little romance, lots of suspense and a bit.of mystery. I rate this a 3.5

Hunter or Hunted you decide?!
This is the dilemma introduced here as Kellen Adams and her family are in the line of fire.
It's a cruel game of cat and mouse even after moving to an island off of California to stay safe but instead she's brought the action upon her.
Christina Dodd always delivers and executes perfectly and this novel is no different as it's packed full of action, suspense, and mystery.
Thank you to Christina Dodd, Harlequin (HQN) and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this ho

Thrilling Romantic Suspense

I am not sure where to begin to review this awesome book. Kellen has so many challenges. She just had a bullet removed from her brain and here comes her archenemy from the past. Mara just escaped from prison ready to attack not only Kellen but also her family. Husband Max packs up the family to hide on his family’s private island where he feels they will be safe. Family includes Kellen, their daughter Rae and family dog “Luna”. The caretaker and his wife on this islan

This isn't a stand at lone series and I wish I had known that when I started to read the book. While the author Christina Dodd does her best to give readers as much information as possible to be caught up with what is going on there are times new readers will be lost.

The characters are well developed for those who started with book 1 but those jumping in will find themselves a little lost but the author ability to paint pictures though written word will have readers excited.

That being said as th

I could not put this thriller down! This was just as riveting and engaging as the previous two books in the Cape Charade series. The female protagonist, Kellen, is a standout. She is a strong, intelligent, and resourceful army veteran who must battle a demented killer who is out for revenge.

Yet, one of the things that makes me love this book and series so much is that even though there is plenty of suspense and thrills, there is also the perfect blend of romance, mystery, and sweet family momen

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my fair and honest review.

This was the second book I have read from this author. This was another awesome action packed thriller. I love Kellen, Max and their daughter Rae. The supporting characters in this book certainly had their issues, but that helped to make the storyline even more interesting. When a serial killer is headed your way, to kill you and your family what would you do to keep them safe? I would definitely recommend this to those

I loved this book and the rest of the books in the series. This a wonderful romantic suspense story with characters that I love reading about. I hope this is not the end of this series as I would love to watch Rae continue to grow. This book had the perfect ending, it tied up the story lines and gave everyone a happily ever after. But I still want more books in this series

Kellen is struggling to recover from a bullet to the brain. A murderer with a grudge against Kellen has escaped from prison putting Kellen and her family in danger. The family retreats to a remote island only to find danger has followed them.

I had trouble getting into this book and I found the way the descriptions of the characters were presented distracting. Once I got into it I wanted to find out how the story ended. There was plenty of suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat. I am givin

Another great addition to the #CapeCharadeSeries. The book can be read as a stand-alone, however, for the reader to fully appreciate the depth of the plot motive, it is recommended to catch up on previous storylines as there is an unexpected plot arc. @christinadoddbooks once again delivers a narrative full of mystery & suspense. She has relented Kellen Adam’s character to more emotion in this depiction and portrayed physical limitations that allow the reader to see a different side of her. ...more

Stranger She Knows is a suspenseful romantic novel that grabs at your emotions. Kellen Adams is back and has to outwit a familiar foe. The scenes are beautifully set up and are well thought out. As you dive into the story, it almost reads like a diary and you want to know what happens next. The suspenseful scenes leave you anxious and hopeful. The heartwarming romantic and family scenes just leave you falling more in love with the characters. Max and Rae have also grown with the books in the ser ...more

I am again blown away with the skill of Christina Dodd's writing. The suspense has me on the edge of my seat! I really loved the story within the story about the Morgade family that owned the home that the Di Luca family were staying at. Wish it were a real place that could be explored! Poor Kellen has been run through the ringer for the past few years. Brain surgery, coma, near death time and again, yet she always seems to come out on top, with a lot of bumps and bruises. Mara is back, escaped from prison and desperately hunting Kellen with one goal. To kill her.

Kellen, Max & Rae are in hiding on Isla Paraíso off the coast of California. Cut off from civilization, no cell phones, no wifi, and a psychopath on their tail.

I loved the first 2 books in this series and was so excited to get my hands on #3, I was not disappointed. Exciting and tense, I held my breath throughout the final showdown!

Strangers She Knows is the thrilling conclusion of The Cape Charade series… and my personal favorite! Kellen, Max, and Rae head to a private island owned by the Di Luca family to escape Mara Phillipi, who has escaped from prison and is determined to hunt down Kellen and her family. I really liked the setting of the island, although it did make the story a little slow to start. My one gripe with this book is that the daughter, Rae, was supposed to be 10 years old, but acted like an adult… it just ...more

In the stunning conclusion to the Cape Charade series, brain-damaged Kellen must fight with betrayed serial killer Mara. This is one case where the Strangers She Knows are not better than the devil she doesn’t know.

Kellen, Max, and Rae are finally settling into family life. Then three things happen to breach their peaceful life. First, Kellen still doesn’t have full use of her dominant right hand. Second, ten-year-old Rae is hitting the turbulent teens three years early by acting petulant and th

The Cape Charade undertaker, Arthur Earthman, is used to dealing with the deceased. What he's not used to is hearing noises coming from the casket display room, when he goes to investigate he finds Miranda Nyugen. Miranda, a widow, had told Arthur she was going to bring her deceased husband home for a proper burial, where she and their twins could visit his grave. Miranda wasn't there to pay her respects in the dead of the night, and she wasn't Miranda Nyugen either. After killing Arthur, she ma ...more

Yay! I got to read “Strangers She Knows”, the latest Christina Dodd book!

Kellen has received a message from a serial killer who was supposed to be locked up, but had escaped and was on the hunt to take everything important away from Kellen: her husband, Max and their daughter, Rae. She’s still recovering from brain surgery to remove a bullet from her brain, and has weakness in her right hand. They’re hiding out indefinitely on a remote island until the stalker/killer is captured by authorities

This is the third full-length novel of the Cape Charade series and I enjoyed it very much. Kellen, Max and Rae are trying to build their relationship as a family after Kellen is released from rehab following surgery. During recovery Kellen struggles with function of her right hand, physical fitness and finding the right words when she speaks. Just as they begin to settle in, their worst fear is real ...more

Well, I started in and read the last book of this series. Now I can see that I should look up the other books in this series EVEN THOUGH I truly believe STRANGERS SHE KNOWS can be read as a Stand Alone! I received an ARC of this book to read through Edelweiss+ in exchange for a fair review. Strangers She Knows by Christina Dodd is the final chapter in her thrilling Cape Charade series. I do think that it would be best to read the entire series in order as it follows the main character Kellen Adams through a series of hair raising adventures. Suspense at it’s best. This is the third book in the trilogy written around the main character Kellen Adams. This woman has lived through an unimaginable life to date. (Bad marriage, loss of her closest relative, shot in the head, coma, joined the Army, returned to civilian life – well, there are other events but you get the idea). She is surrounded by family (Max, Rae and Verona) as well as friends from her time in the Army and an enemy who is truly psychotic. Christina Dodd creates an amazing p ...more
