This is a lovely book. Beautifully illustrated with photographs and the diarist's own drawings. I appreciated the sidebars that explained some of the content. Wonderful to read a child's passion and to see those around her try to help her to achieve her goals. I was grateful for the afterward that told us the rest of her life.

A sweet little book. I was rather disappointed that the diary only covers one year of the author's life. After experiencing the day to day details of Anne's life, the short "What Happened Next?" chapter at the end seemed too short and impersonal.

An early Christmas gift from a friend who knew I would enjoy Anne Elizabeth's Diary and her drawings that remind one of Beatrix Potter. The additional text by Kathleen Krull that describes many aspects of life in 1912 is very interesting as well. This is a little gem!
