First off, THIS IS NOT A YA BOOK. I REPEAT THIS IS NOT A YA BOOK!! This is why I don’t think it is a YA series:

1. Cursing EVERY page... like vulgar and the F word every sentence.
2. Descriptive sex scenes
3. Violent/ gruesome detailed scene
However, I knew this all before reading the book so I wasn’t surprised at it or upset about it. I understood because of the situation they are in.

Here we have a book that's topic would normally be put into the YA category. It's dystopian, but with more of an adult spin. I absolutely loved that. I mean, come on, if the world was really going to hell - being destroyed and all that - people would talk and act in a way that was less than clean. I understand why most dystopian stories need to stay pg-13 in regards to language and violence. It's a know your audience type of thing. If you have not started this series, what are you waiting for?! The chatacter development throughout the entire series is amazing. The author has a way of making you feel like you're there with them feeling there joy, tears, disappointment and fears.
The dialogue has a raw feel to it which makes them all feel that much more real, and easier to get lost in the world she has written.
You'll laugh, scream and cry right along with her characters.
