The second book in the series is about a country movie star falling in love with a hotel heiress/chess prodigy. I'm guessing the theme of this series is about Black women from the city falling in love with southern white men.

This book was a lot better when it came to the racial dynamics compared to the last book. I still have issues with her characters Black families being broken but the White families loving and supportive. In this book the heroine's father is dead and she's been estranged from

There are some books that just connect with you on every level, and for me this was one of them. What could be just another romance is made so much more by offering special characters that push the norm and make you both think and feel. Cooper, the country music star, on the surface was what you would expect. Charming, a playboy, jaded and puffed up on his own importance. Underneath though is the sweet guy, the kind and generous brother, the doting uncle, and loving son. Frankie was simply amazi ...more

Checkmate

I loved this book. Mainly because the characters felt real. I can always count on that from Ms.Neal. She writes stories where the characters stay with you and you wonder how they’re doing long afterwards. So many of the books currently in the interracial genera leave me cringing. Thank you for writing books that I can’t put down and am a little sad when it’s finished.

I absolutely loved Coop and Frankie. This book was beyond the cuteness for me, though they were a cute couple. I loved how it shows, if you love someone, you love them, quirks and all. Truly embracing who they are and not wanting them to be something they’re not. True Love. Coop and his (mostly) charming ways and Frankie and her blunt ways just seemed to flow well together. Loved it and can’t wait for more!

They learned to play the game well with each other

Cooper Copeland, Country Music consummate playboy and heart throb did not expect his flirting to land him a milk shake in the face. Anxiety ridden Francesca Hatcher was ill prepared for any attention she received from any man and his inappropriate flirting only sent her anxiety into the stratosphere. Their first meeting mistakes did not come to the forefront until each ine realized that they needed each other for business. Cooper sponsored the Be

I have been reading Xavier Neal Books for about a Year now. And each and everytime she manages to surprise me. With that being said. Cowboy Casanova Review.

Frankie, What can I say about her. She is a Chess Loving, Chocolate Eating Sweetheart. I just love the way she brings Chess playing to life. People to Frankie are like Chess Pieces. She use her abilities to understand her Opponents. But her understanding of things is about to get an little complicated due to the fact that she has

5 Spellbinding Stars!!!

I was given this book in turn for an honest review.

When love finds Frankie in the form of a singing Cowboy, she decides to take the leap and enjoy the ride. With Cooper by her side they can beat anything. Until one decision, threatens to destroy everything.

Xavier Neal sends you on one hell of a HOT ride with Cowboy Casanova, and I loved every second of it. Xavier has written a captivating, all consuming romance story, that I didn’t want to put down.

I don’t even know where to start with Cooper and Frankie! Seriously one of my top favorite book couples. What I love most about the way Xavier writes is that her books are relatable. You can picture yourself or someone you know in that same situation.

This is the second book in the series, but can be read as a stand-alone. We get to meet Frankie, our extremely introverted, socially awkward lady. She’s intelligent, quirky, and feels that everything in life much be set like a chessboard. Frankie i

Never have two characters who are such polar opposites who you wouldn't think would work but these two make it blend like chocolate and peanut butter(every pun intended). This story revolves around Frankie and Cooper who have the most memorable and hilarious meeting ever. Those words that spilled out of Cooper to Frankie deserved every bit of liquid drenching he received. I won't repeat them here as you need to read and experience it for yourself, trust me you won't be disappointed. Frankie who ...more

Country music star Cooper Copeland was first mentioned as the Cowboy Casanova in book 1 of the Culture Blind series, and this book details how appropriate that designation is. When Cooper (Coop) runs into Francesca (Frankie) Hatcher at her resort, it isn’t exactly love at first sight. Frankie is a lover of Chess and all things chocolate, and the very successful owner of The Chessboard Resort on South Haven Island but suffers from social anxiety and has no interest in the flashy cowboy. Wow! Wow! Wow! Sweet pea.. 👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌✨✨✨

This right here was the bombastic, fantastic and super, super, super good...
This was the epitome romantic, sweetness type of story. Man how can I get a Cooper. He was everything! Handsome, down to earth, romantic, lovable, a teddy bear at heart, a sweetheart, a wonderful, albeit a little dumb man but still the top of the top. He was so good, so patient with Frankie, so understanding and yet so selfish and clueless.
Frankie on the other hand was almost getting o

This book was so heart warming due to the social issues that are faced and overcome by the amazing leading lady Frankie, due to having kids who sit on the ASD spectrum i could really relate to frankie and the struggles she had, with social cue's and reading the situation, which for me brought me even closure to the characters. Cooper the ever fun loving country singer who had woman falling at his feet, falls head over heals for frankie and has to put some serious work in to not only understand a ...more

What a great book. Cowboy Casanova had everything I needed to get lost in a storyline and let the everyday world slip away. Such as: the author gave us characters that you can’t help but fall in love with. They were well defined and felt like family. Oh and the hero of this story, while I wanted to bop him on the head once or twice for not thinking, he was just everything you could want in a book boyfriend.

I can’t recommend Cowboy Casanova enough. From the minute Cooper sees Frankie his world i

What a ride! Wow! One quirky, adorable chocolate addicted chess loving Frankie meets her match in the super sweet and charming country crooning hottie Coop. These to of course meet under some very amusing circumstances, which of course lead to some very interesting apologies. Frankie is not your average woman as Cooper is soon to find out. To her chagrin, he worms his way in, taking her way outside her comfort zone, showing her what life outside her resort has to offer. She might just have a few ...more

Frankie is addicted to chess and chocolate. When things get stressful her assistant is ready with a pocketful of chocolate. But will chocolate save her from the sexy cowboy superstar Cooper Copland?

Cooper is a country music superstar. He is cocky on the outside and sinfully sweet on the inside. When the gorgeous resort owner dumps a milkshake on him hes hooked.

Xavier is a classy writer. She can pull you into her stories and make you feel like family. This book pulled a gamut of em

Cowboy Casanova will suck you in from page one as two people from opposite tracks of life discover there's something more between them. As per usual though, their road together isn't without it's bumps and twists.

Cooper is known as the Cowboy Casanova in their country music world where he rules - but the moment Cooper meets Frankie - he knows there is something more than a tryst there - he's just got to show that to her. Frankie keeps to herself most of the time, not one to full on deal with th

Christ on a cracker!!! I have fallen for these two so hard, and I couldn’t get enough of them. Frankie is this little spunky firecracker that doesn’t know how to deal with society. Cooper is the SCORCHING HOT country singer that can charm the pants off any lady.

When Coop and Frankie meet, it’s a freaking mess. But, yet it’s quite funny. These two are polar opposites and it shows. But, when two opposites attract some of the best moments and memories are made. I think both of them really learned

Frankie and Cooper.... just wow. Ok so I went back and forth alot, trying to decide if Frankie should be locked up somewhere, or if i wanted to cry FOR her.
Cooper has a personality that you almost hate to love. Hes sweet but publicly at least hes kind of an ass. I absolutely LOVE that whole family though, and hes no different.
Frankie is a little.... well hard. Lol she is definitely special. Frankie has a very sweet personality, but has severe social anxiety. The entire world is a chess board for

Frankie is my soul mate. If she didn't find Cooper and they didn't work so well together I would totally have her as my own. She is spunky, funny and afraid of being social. Which pretty much sums me up...at least the social part. She is just an all around well rounded women who just wants to live her life.
Then Cooper walks in and it gets all kinds of messed up. See he is a country music star. He is used to getting what he wants. And his eyes are on Frankie. While he also tries to stay grounded

This book and the characters are truly amazing. I absolutely love Frankie and her spunky personality who doesn’t take crap from anyone including Cooper the headliner of her festival. We had quirky woman meet overly cocky guy and doesn’t fall to her knees to worship at the alter of Cooper. Coop likes to make things clear, “I’m single, Sweet Pea, if that’s what you were worried about. Single and here tryin’ to mingle.” Coop knows how to compromise, you know by giving his woman whatever she wants, “pretty sure my towels should meet your standards.” She tilts her head in serious question. “They should, but if they don’t, we can swing into the city and buy whatever it is you want.” I loved the thoughts that ran through Frankie's mind, "I glance at Cooper’s arm in question. Holy Mother of All Things that are Sexy!!

I freaking LOVE Cooper and Frankie!! Omg and Cooper's family, cant forget them!! I loved every second of their story! Cooper, the sexy and arrogant, cocky country music singer and Frankie, the adorable and nerdy, anxiety filled firecracker!! Nothing alike, but perfect together. They both have issues, hide their true selves, but somehow manage to show their true persona to each other because as soon as they meet they make a connection, have an undeniable attraction to each other that feels as if they’re magnets gravitating towards each other. A Good Dose of Fun!

Like in the previous story from this series,it was just as good if not better.I love that the heroine is not one that is so perfect that you just grind your teeth or that she is so beyond help.We get an old fashioned romance with a new age twist and it is so entertaining.I love that Cooper is an ordinary man who happens to be famous and makes all the mistake a man does.(dumb ones)This was just a good solid story that will keep you invested till the end.I am so looking forward

Playing Chess For Love
This was a great read. I loved the chess metaphors & the abundance of all things chocolate. Frankie is sheltered from the world by keeping herself closed off using chess as the game of life. Cooper is a singer who needs a real reason to sing besides fame & fortune. These two people shouldn't click not because of racial differences but because they literally see the world differently. The ups & downs of a love are on display as well as fears & even ignorance
