I wasn't crazy about the first book of this series, however, I figured I would at least give book two a chance before I called it a day. I'm happy to report that I enjoyed this one more. I felt like Mister Dos had more of a presence in this one, so he felt less cardboard cutout than Mister Uno did. On top of that, there was a tiny bit of heat in this book that I enjoyed.

description

A part of me still wishes they were a bit longer. It legit took me under thirty minutes to read this, so the whole story inevitably felt underdeveloped. It is the same issue I had with the first book. On the other had the entire set up of " Twelve men...Twelve months...Twelve articles" (Twelve books) doesn't exactly lend itself to super developed plots, so it is what it is. I enjoyed this one enough that I will for sure be checking out book three.

*I received a free copy of Mister Dos from the author. This has in no way influenced my review which is honest and unbiased.*

3.5 stars

Mister Dos was funny, sweet, and quite a bit hot. I enjoyed it more than Mister Uno, because I felt like Anthea had more substance, and her search for the differences between men and women was more realistic here.
The humor had me laughing out loud, and I loved Country-Boy.

Means twelve books

I really enjoyed Mr. Dos. After reading the first book, I was on the shelf with how this was going to play out. Would I like the fact that Anthea would be having mini relationships with twelve men? Is she actually going to fall in love with one? Also, I'm not super on board with her deceiving each man. I guess I'll have to keep reading the series to find out how everything will come together in the end. I admit I am definitely intrigued by this premise.

Mr. Dos was a better candidate than Mr. Uno. This book had more character interaction than the first as well. Also, I found it humorous at times. Things heated up fast due to the fact this book was around 40 pages. Just as I got into it, it was over. I do wish they were a bit longer. I can't wait to read about Mr. Tres next!

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. :)

Mister Dos was so good!!! I really enjoyed Country Boy very much! Can you say YUMMY! He was swoon worthy, protective, safe and definitely with the right morals. Wished City girl stayed country and stayed with Mister Dos! But she is onto her next Mister. Can’t wait for Mister Tres!!! I’m loving these short stories!

""If you're City Girl, I guess I'm Country Boy.""

With this second part of the Mister, Mister short stories series we hit a jackpot. As a girl who dreams about living on a farm and a hot too good to be true man in her home, Mister Dos's arrow hit my hearts' bulls-eye. The moment of the first kiss and the fact that it causes the butterflies in my stomach to revolt shows that I truly was invested in this one. And I really do hope she'll see him again.

"This man may be all muscles, but he hugs like a soft teddy bear."

Mister Dos: too short, too hot, too enticing - perfect!

"Are all men from Mars? I can tell you Mister Dos isn't. He inhabits a completely different planet, one that sets him apart."

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,

In this episode we have Mr Dos, who Anthea meets in her second month long stop around Australia. So as I was saying this time she is sent to the farming community and the country folk.
In this episode Anthea was out of her depth completely, but she embraced the life staying on a farm. It didn’t help when she met Mr Country Boy.
Lets put this way Mr Dos was so much more fun and in depth than Mr Ono and after enjoying this one so much I ‘m looking forward to Mr Tres and next month’s exciting article. A nice bite size read that entertains and light enough to read before bed or in your lunch break

Anthea never says no to a dare, so 12 men in 12 months=12 articles. How do you date a new man each month without losing your mind, body, heart or soul, while following the rules of the dare? This is the 2nd book in the series, the 1st is Mister Uno, should read in order. Mister Dos is a rough and thought authentic cowboy, enjoy the ride!!What a year, all the keep her job as a journalist !!

Holy cowboy, Mister Dos is H.O.T.
I love this series from Belle, these are quick short reads but they still manage to pull you in.
I really hope once the series is finished that Anthea goes back to her Mr Right and we get a full book from that.
Can't wait for the next book in this series. X

Ohhhhhhhh man!!! I loved me some Country Boy. The protective type of man sings to my heart! I loved seeing Anthea have to get herself dirty too and explore some of the things she didn’t know she could do. I didn’t want her to ever leave the country.

Anthea meets her second assignment in the form of a smoking hot cowboy. He's absolutely delicious and reminds me so much of my husband. She really needs to circle back to "Country Boy", he's a keeper. These short stories are the absolute best afternoon pick me up. I can't wait for the rest. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Magazine columnist Anthea Links is off to research the second installment of her new series. She has to date 12 different men in 12 months to show what men are really looking for in the woman they date. For this adventure, Anthea’s off to the country.

When Anthea arrives in the small town she plans on finding Mister. Dos in, she realizes that her travel arrangements have fallen through and she has no place to stay. Relying on the kindness of a fellow passenger, she finds herself taken in to his family’s cattle and experiencing first hand the hard work it takes to keep the place running. Along the way, she meets Mister. Dos. An honest Country Boy who is a romantic at heart and immediately takes to playing the roles of tour guide, protector and lover for her time on the ranch to the City Girl who is definitely out of her element.

Anthea finds that walking away from Country Boy will definitely be more difficult than leaving Mr. Uno had been . . . as this romance is sweet, steamy and definitely exciting. Will she be able to keep their identities a secret and continue on with her series, or has her heard been claimed by this unexpected romance?

I love an opposites attract romance and Belle Brookes truly delivers that with Mister. Dos. I loved watching Anthea have to acclimate herself to the cattle ranch and all that entails and fully embrace it while she is there! I also loved Country Boy . . .such a sweet and romantic alpha . . . I know we are not that far into the series yet, but I’m kind of hoping we see him again . . . 4.5 Stars!

I don’t know how you walk away from Mister “Country Boy” Dos

This short story series ramps up with Mister Dos. Another well-written and attention-catching story. I absolutely love being drawn into a story from the beginning and not wanting to stop reading until I’ve reached the end. What’s awesome about these stories is that they are short enough to read on the beach or at the pool in one sitting, but they hold your interest all the way through. In this second installment Anthea finds herself in the hot, dry country and finds her next “specimen” in Country Boy. During her stay she learns to live life a more simple way, to appreciate a hard days’ work and to learn the country way of like from a Baxter, Sally and Country Boy, who becomes her Mr. Dos. A chance meeting in the airport throws Anthea in this country life for a month where she learns how to work on a ranch. She is away from all the modern amenities so she and Country Boy get to know each other. He proves to be chivalrous, protective, and oh so sexy. You will not be disappointed with this second installment for this short story series. I can’t wait for Mister Tres, now. Who might he be?

As a journalist "investigating" one man a month, Anthea's traveling and essentially having a bunch of one (or two or five, etc) night stands.

My major issue with the books so far is the total lack of character development and backstory. With the series only a few short chapters each, essentially a bunch of sketches, instead of books, it seems impossible to truly develop a character.

While I didn't care for the first book in the series, Mister Dos was a much better "love" interest than Mister Uno. Here I, at least, felt chemistry and there was SOME backstory. Also we finally see some steam involved in this story, unlike book one. I did enjoy the depiction of ranch living and her slight transformation from silly, flighty city girl to a hard working ranch hand. While I still find myself thinking "are there really going to be twelve of these", I'm intrigued enough to stick around for round three. We'll have to see what the tropics have in store for Anthea.

This second book in this series is a fabulous quick read!

City Girl (Anthea) meets Country Boy, aka Mister Dos, on a property out of Emerald, her next stop on her around Australia trip meeting and getting to know different guys.

This certainly is a different environment for the reporter and a great change too, although she seemed to adapt pretty quickly especially having a hunk like Mr Dos around. I found it really easy to relate to these characters and enjoyed their laid back way of speaking and being.

Great descriptions of the settings made you feel like you were there, flies and all! Wherever the scene took place readers could easily visualise what was happening and feel things too, yep- even the squishy birth canal of the poor old cow!

If I was Anthea I would be going back to dance under the stars with Mr Dos forever! 😉

The city meets country!! Anthea is on to her next match up and this time it’s a cowboy, and what a cowboy he is.
Mr Dos, a.k.a, a sweet-talking, hard-working, gentle and loving man around countryside, is going to be hard to top. He ticked ALL the right boxes for me, and if I’d been Anthea, I think my search would have been over. To heck with the job, this guy was worth giving it all up for.
For a very short novella, and only meeting him almost half was through the story, there was a connection between these two that felt real. Meant to be even. Will she return at the end of the experiment, or cast Mr Dos aside. Will Mr Tres or the other numbers to follow make her forget all about her time on Briggs farm? I hope not. I know I haven’t read the rest of the series, but my heart is here, it’s been wrangled and tied in knots, at least for now…
See you next episode.

Mister Dos by Belle Brooks

Anthea has finished her first of twelve dates and is now heading out on her second adventure to meet Mister Dos. This time she is heading to the country.
She is shocked when she arrives at the airport and discovers no internet, no air conditioned corridors and she is given a paper ticket. Then she has to walk out on the tarmac to board her plane. It is hot, dirty and there are sooo many flies which are trying to get into her mouth. Once on the plane it's packed liked sardines and smells like a locker room. She feels like she's in the twilight zone. Then her hotel reservations are gone and she ends up on a working cattle ranch. There she meets Mr. Country her (Mister Dos) who turns out to be a gentleman, protector, lover and roguishly handsome man that likes to dance under the stars at night. Will she be able to walk away or will Mr. Country steal her heart.

In Belle Brooks' short story series, Anthea is off to the country to try and meet guy number two.  She is out in the middle of nowhere with a missing motel reservation and only one phone number to call ~ the older, spitting gentleman who was on her flight with her.  Turns out he has a great ranch and an even better ranch hand.

This second installment of the series has a bit more depth as she could dive right in without the initial setup.  Country Boy is this book's man in question.  Hard-working, quiet, protective and sweet, I think Country Boy will end up one of reader's favorites.  There is humor as Anthea learns about working the ranch and a bit of heat in Mister Dos and I was sad to see Anthea get back on that plane.

You have to have read book one to know what's happening so grab one and catch up.

The second entry for Anthea's article series has her in the Outback, staying in quarters she wasn't prepared for since there was a mix-up with the hotel reservation. Staying on a cattle ranch, City Girl (as she's been nicknamed) is learning all about working on a ranch, until she makes the acquaintance of Country Boy, who works on the ranch. Plenty of chemistry between the two of them, and even though this is only the second book of the series, I like Country Boy better than Mister Uno; CB doesn't have to put on unnecessary airs to impress City Girl, he's a "take me for what I am" kind of guy. He knows how to keep it real. I can't wait to see who manages to capture Anthea's heart by the end of this series.

Quick, easy read - done and dusted in half an hour.. light hearted with a pinch of swoon thrown in. Anthea meets her Mr Dos (assignment no.2) when she takes a trip out to the country ...and boy Mr protective alpha Country Boy could be my bodyguard any day !! We don't get a back story to the leading males in these stories so far, it's all about the here and now, so while it's a little difficult to form an attachment to the character that's what these stories are about.. Anthea isn't meant to form a connection.. it's very much get the story and move on.. though this time I think she definitely would have had more reservation. I'm hoping that by no.12 she gets a HEA with one of her men !!

I loved Mister Dos. Anthea needs to do better at keeping everything under wraps...But Mister Dos is sweet, caring, and a cowboy...who doesn't love cowboys?

In this second installment we see more of Anthea's struggle. This date was supposed to be fun and unique and help her save her job but with each date she's more in danger of losing her heart.

Belle Brooks took her unique idea and is making the whole concept fun. The reader gets immersed in the world she created and the drama the goes along with trying to keep your identity secret and not fall in love with the men who are rocking your world.

I really love the premise for the Mister, Mister Series, as Anthea is writing 12 articles about 12 men in 12 months, but my one wish would be that the stories are just a bit longer please. I love Belle Brooks so much, but these are so short that it's hard to really imprint on anyone, although, Mister Dos was a bit easier to like than Mister Uno to be honest. See, he's a country boy, and Anthea is hanging out with him, getting her hands dirty. There was more heat, and even some funny parts that had me laughing out loud. Now on to Mister Tres, can't wait to see what she comes across with him! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Athena is off on another adventure but this time she's going off grid half way around the country! She meets her Mr. Dos (aka Country Boy) and sparks fly! Athena learns so much and the more time she spends with Mr. Dos Will Athena be able to say goodbye to Mr. Dos and continue her journey or will she stay and see where things go with her tall dark and handsome country boy?

Im really starting to love this series, it's not only cute and funny but it also lets you see the diffrent sides of the men she meets! So far im team Country Boy! I can't wait to see what comes next!

Mister Dos is the second book in this new series by Belle Brooks and is another short read. I found that I really enjoyed this story and the presence of Mister Dos in this story. Even though I liked the first book in this series, I felt that I enjoyed this story a bit more because of the interactions between the two characters and the heat within the story between these two characters. I really enjoyed the two characters within this story and I absolutely loved Athena. Belle Brooks has written an incredibly fun series that I cannot wait to read more to find out what happens.

Mister Dos, the second in this novella series is a steamy, quick read. Anthea's plan to date 12 guys in 12 months is almost thrown off track when she arrives at her 2nd location only to learn the hotel she booked is full! Thankfully in the small town she's in the people are friendly and a man she met on the plan ride over offers to put her up on his ranch. That is where she meets the "country boy" as he refers to himself. The best bull-rider in town shows our city girl a few fun tricks. I can't wait to see what the next man has on store! This is such a fun series!

Mister Dos by Belle Brooks is the second story in the twelve books that encompass Anthea’s journey with twelve men in twelve months. The mystery continues with Mister Dos. There is much more bonding and insight in Mister Dos that leaves me with questions and hopes for the rest of the series. I can’t wait to see where the story goes from here in the next book. Mister Dos is certainly an interesting man, one whom you can’t help but feeling endeared to. Pick this one up now, you won’t be disappointed, but make sure to grab Mister Uno first!
