Are people already wondering how and where I find all those Wonderland reads? Well, this one was recommended to me a few times, but that one time Eva Chase herself told me that this was the perfect story for me, I finally let her convince me to give it a go. (And honestly, it was the Richard Madden inspired character that gave the final push)

And Im so glad I let her play on my emotions to make me read this! This was such a nice, entertaining and interesting read. It had all elements I really

2.5-3 stars. I picked this up off Audible because of obvious reasons. I can't resist a journey through Wonderland. In all honesty this is a unique wonderland.. The author wove a whole new spin on the goings on in our favorite fantasy land. Plot wise we have a whole new spin on the battle against the red queen also... But for some reason.. I just wasn't super loving it. Looking back it has a lot to do with the FMC she was just... ordinary. I mean I'm not mad hat her.. (lol) we just didn't ...more
3.5 stars. I was reasonably entertained by this, but I think Im more excited to see where this series goes next than I am by this book itself. The MC is fairly flat and will probably stay that way, but the guys have potential. I like this interpretation of Wonderland, and this was fairly well written.

I was most interested in the MC when she gets upset, does drugs, and screws stuff up. Other than that, she was a bit blah. I think it makes sense that the blah character will love Wonderland if it

I've been looking out for a good Alice in Wonderland retelling for awhile now; I'm obsessed with the SyFy adaptation of Alice, and have had this hope of somehow finding the book equivalent. With Wicked Wonderland, the first book in the Looking-Glass Curse trilogy, I finally found one that worked for me! Lyssa's just been cheated on by her boyfriend, and after her aunt passes away and leaves her a house, she moves into the secluded mansion in the forest and discovers an unusual mirror. This being ...more

Note: I was given a copy of this book by the author and I voluntarily review this book, this is my honest opinion.

Eva Chase has a few steamy reverse harems already and they are really good, well she has added one more with the first book in the Looking Glass Curse. Wicked in Wonderland was an enjoyable read that has me wondering what will happen in the rest of the series.

Lyssa Tinnel is a kind person with a big heart, these qualities plus life circumstances has her taking care of those all

Chase creates a Wonderland that's full of bright colors, irrational "creatures", trademark wonderland "logic", and a darkness lurking beneath it all. With A Queen of Hearts who has stolen Time and taken control of Wonderland's residents, the Wonderlanders find themselves stuck in a nightmarish loop.

While the idea of the Queen of Hearts as the villain is not new, I love the way that Chase makes her into more than just a violent dictator. She's using violence and death, but there's a magical

This is what is known as a 'reverse harem' book; that is, a book where the girl ends up with two or more guys interested her.

Lyssa has lost her job and her boyfriend. She inherits her aunt's house and that begins her journey on a new life. There's a mirror in the house that she can use to enter Wonderland. It's a wonderland that, like in most other books of this nature, has major problems. These lie in the Queen of Hearts running things like an even worse tyrant than she is in the original

Lyssa Tenniel has inherited a large house from a great aunt that she can barely remember but finds it helps her to forget the mes that is her life and leads her to the kind of adventures she could only dream of. It all started when she falls through a mirror and finds herself in Wonderland. There she meets some really hot guys - an eccentric Hatter, a mysterious guy called Chess and the inventive White Knight. She will get involved in a rebellion against a tyrant of a White Queen, discover a ...more

Oh. My. Dear. Lord. I dont really know how to approach a review of these freakishly wonderful retelling if the classic Alice in Wonderland story. Read the publishers blurb. If you find it at all appealing you are going to love this novel. Eva Chases Wicked Wonderland, first in her The Looking-Glass Curse series, is most definitely modeled on the original, but poor Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (aka Lewis Carroll) would likely feint if he perused its pages. This is a heck of a hot reverse harem tale ...more

I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I was recommend this book by a friend. Honestly, the writing style worried me a little at times since there were several moments in the first three chapters were 'and' was used like three or four times in a single sentence. And then there were moments where I was very confused. Those kinds of things bug me...a lot.

However, once the story really picked was really good! I mean, I love Alice in Wonderland stories! It kind of reminded me of a

This was a really good series!! I was worried it might be too similar to C.M Stunich's remake of Alice in Wonderland but I really shouldn't of been worried, I'd forgotten how well of an author Chase is since it's been a little while. Although I am sorta sad that there weren't as many quirky or "mad" lines as I'd hoped (which was always one of my favorite things about Alice in Wonderland books and movies was just how silly and differently everyone talked compared to real life but I clicked with ...more

This is the grown up Alice tale that you've always dreamed of!! Lyssa is our Alice and when we meet her, she's going through a lot. Her life up to this point has been all duty and responsibility. Her bestie encourages her to let loose a little and for once only think about herself. And, what does Lyssa want? She finds herself craving the kisses and passion that are so readily available in Wonderland. But she's not going to be content or even bother to seek those out unless it's Hatter, Chess or ...more

Another fun Alice in Wonderland interpretation.

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the

I really like this take on Alice and the Looking Glass retelling. The characters are intriguing and creative, the story line is well developed and well written. Lyssa is a strong female lead and Hatter, Chess and the White Knight are interesting. Although the White Knight seems to have the best interests in mind for Wonderland, I'm not sure if he is just using Lyssa or not. It doesn't seem like it by the end of this book but I'm interested to see how his character grows and how his and Lyssa's ...more

What a marvelous book. Eva sends us to Wonderland when Lyssa finds a mirror in the tower of a house left to her by her aunt. When she describes Wonderland, I flash back to Oz...crazy colors, trees growing upside down, people who are part animals...and then you meet Chess, Hatter and Theo...somehow they were never this hot in the original story. Lyssa develops a close relationship between the three and manages to get involved in a rebellion against the Queen of Hearts, who has frozen time and ...more

As an Alice in Wonderland FANATIC, I loved this series. I have about 30 pages left on the final book in the series to read. I have about 3 or 4 different series, all with a different take on Alice. I really enjoyed all of them, but I had bought this book not realizing at the time it was a reverse harem about throwing you for a loop once I got to that part of the book!

I like how the story built up relatively quick and kept adding a little something different as the series went on. If

Whimsical wonderful Wonderland Adventure

I have not been a big fan of Alice in Wonderland but this author has never let me done and I always love her books so I figured I would give it a try. I am so happy that I did because it is hilarious and captivating. I love the twists that she put on such well know characters, such as the Mad Hatter. In this retelling, the Mad Hatter is actually the most normal person in Wonderland compared to others such as the Cheshire Cat, Chess. Even the White Knight

Great Alice in Wonderland retelling. Especially in the RH genre. The book definitely slowed down in the middle, but it finished strong. I enjoyed the world building and character development. I will definitely be reading the next two books.

The main character was particularly likable. I have read some other series like this and have to admit I really didnt like the MC. But this one won me over. I started with the free sample, and was drawn in immediately. I just went ahead and purchased all three

Ultimately, You WILL NOT Be Disappointed

Sort of a slow start for me, which is why I rated it 4 stars. Something must have happened and clicked with me because one second I was putting it down every few pages and the next, I was up reading until 3 in the morning. HOWEVER!
The writer and editors are great because I didn't get side tracked with highlighting errors in this book. The atmosphere the book takes place in is so different and is what I imagine Wonderland being like in today's age! The

I was pretty excited for this book because I've read books in this same genre that I've loved. First couple of chapters were pretty interesting. There was a bad relationship and messy break up combined with the death of a mysterious relative who left a house in their will. So obviously this sounded mysterious and the build up to potential future romance.

Once wonderland entered the picture I was still interested in the book but I just wasn't feeling the connection to the characters. I think if I

This is most definitely one of my popcorn reads! Enjoyable, with fairly distinct characters, and a plot that, while fairly simple, still gave a few surprises.
The most surprising thing for me here though, was Wonderland. It had a bit of a dreamy feel, but overall felt like a universe just slightly removed from our own. Wonderland had bits and bobs of magic, and the populace seemed to have normality worn-thin, but I actually rather enjoyed it that way. (The amount of Alice re-tellings where the

I have always love Alice in Wonderland. I love the classic books, the made for TV movies, the Disney cartoon, the modern live action movies, and spin offs such as comic books. I love this basis for a RH, and loved the plot.

The author took the basics of the original and twisted them all very cleverly, IMO. I was interested in the outcome throughout the whole book. I also love that the ending isn't a cliffhanger, yet still leaves me wondering what will happen in the next book.

Still doesn't know how to write reverse harem

When this book came up as a freebie I had completely forgotten I'd read the first book in the dark valkyrie series. Also a freebie thank the gods because something that awful would command a refund! The author's writing skills have improved a little though the story is still drawn out and boring. She still hasn't a freaking clue how to write reverse harem or even sex scenes. I only gave it two stars because the concept is fantastic. The execution

What an amazing start to a series!! I am a huge fan of Alice in Wonderland and re-tellings of the story. Even better when it is with some hot action between the 'Alice' and the characters there. This is a slow burn Reverse Harem and it is done freaking right!

Eva Chase did an amazing job opening up the world of Wonderland with suspense and wonder and lust. The backstory of how Lyssa finds herself there was absolutely well placed and the series had me wanting more where I just devoured this book

This was just a bit blah for me.

Whilst I did like the concept of the dilemma of the frozen time, I didn't find the way Wonderland was drawn, or any of the characters particularly compelling.

Lyssa was a bit too perfect, Hatter was grumpy for most of the time, Theo was playing her, really, and Chess, whilst my favourite, was pretty down played.

I tried the first book of the author's Claimed by Gods series, which I had a lot of the same issues with, so it might just be a personal thing that it

A very intriguing story! There is so much going on in the Looking Glass world. There were a lot of serious and tense moments that I am really glad to have the romance/sexual chemistry going on at the same time. Eva Chase writes some great sexual build up and she does give us a full steamy scene as well. The guys are interesting and I really liked how all the original characters from Alice are all here! Peer into the looking glass

Im not a huge fan of Alice in Wonderland but I was a fan of this storys twist. Unlike the childrens movie this book follows only one plot line but keeps some of the infamous characters with a grown up twist. I truly liked how the characters evolve and the world building. This book was a great beginning to an exciting trilogy. I cant wait to see where Lyssa and her trio of Wonderlanders go, how the Queen retaliates, and what does the gemstone symbol mean.

Wicked Wonderland is Book 1 of the Looking-Glass Curse series. I found this to be an enjoyable read. The new twists along with the old made for an interesting experience and this is saying a lot as I never liked the original. Ms. Chase has created a better more colorful wonderland and the depth she gave Lyssa, Hatter (Mad Hatter), Theo (White Knight), and Chess(Cheshire Cat) added to my enjoyment. I have many questions that need answering, so I am anxious for Book 2. I recommend this book. ...more
