In Happily Inc, love means never having to say “I do”…

Wedding coordinator Renee Grothen isn’t meant for marriage. Those who can, do. Those who can’t, plan. But she never could have planned on gorgeous, talented thriller writer Jasper Dembenski proposing—a fling, that is. Fun without a future. I cannot remember the last time I was this disappointed by a book and if I am honest I would probably have DNF’d it if I hadn’t been anticipating Jasper getting his own book from the time I finished its predecessor Not Quite Over You, back in April. Jasper and Wynn’s Friends-with-benefits situation, played out and ended as a secondary story-line in that one, and I have to admit I was disappointed that the author didn’t see him and the single mother in the long-term relationship bracket

So this was a great romance by Mallery. I just found out she has a series called Happily Inc. that I just heard of it. This is the 5th book in the series. I have read her other series and now want to go back and read the beginning of this one. Readers also get a nice bonus of a short story starring a woman we find out is the adopted daughter of a Crown Prince in the Middle East. She falls for a man liv

I’ve enjoyed most of these books, so I couldn’t help but request this one.

I liked Renee and Jasper well enough. They’re both good people and I feel like that is the best thing I can say. The inner monologue from both of them is little bland and the chemistry was non-existent. I did love Renee’s mom, even if that thread was sort of ridiculous.

Plot wise, it was okay. I loved the addition of the pets and the weddings are always a fun aspect. My main complaint is that the stor

The small town of Happily, Inc. has become one of my favorite places in the book world and I’m glad to be back in the story Meant to be Yours. Renee Grothen plans weddings at Weddings in a Box and knows that marriage and love aren’t for her. When she finally meets thriller author Jason Dembenski she’s nervous because she’s fantasized about the handsome man many times and now he’s right in front of her. Jason Dembenski has also made Happily Inc his home since his car broke down here and found the ...more

Meant to be Yours is #7 in Susan Mallery's Happily Inc series. However it can easily be read as a stand alone although I am sure readers of the series will be very happy to catch up with other previous characters.

Happily Inc is a town that has come to life because it caters for specialty destination weddings. In this book we meet Renee, who is one of the actual wedding co- ordinators. She helps plan all the details and sees it through to the end. She is a lovely down to earth person,

Happily Inc is a wedding destination town in California. Weddings Out of the Box gets a lot of business all throughout the year since they specialize in themed weddings. Renee is one of the top wedding coordinators they have, and even though she likes planning weddings, she can't see herself planning her own. Jasper hasn't been living in Happily Inc for long, but the town is just the right place for him to get his writing done. Just off a book tour and working on a new book, when he meets Renee, ...more

One of my favorite things is reading Susan Mallery's romances. I just love them. I think it's because it's also about the people and not just the end result. Mallery builds a world that seems alive and real. I enjoy that in my authors.

We are back in Happily, Inc and ready to visit. From the moment you meet Jasper, you want to know more about him. There is a cloud of mystery about him that needs to be blown away. Pretty quickly you get to know hi

Renee's past makes her lean toward never getting married, she may work as a wedding coordinator but her future is groomless. The only problem with this is that she is attracted to Jasper a local author. She wouldn't mind doing the friends with benefits thing with him but isn't sure she can handle it in the end. Jasper doesn't think he is fit for a relationship, he has been damaged by years in the military and doesn't think he is whole enough for anyone. The two meet up at game night and the spar ...more

A fun book which depicted the romance between the wedding planner Renée and an author who was ex-military Jasper. Friends with benefits transformed to love.

Reading a Susan Mallery after a long time, the story retained her trademark signs of humor and warm relationships. Both Kasper and Renée had their own pasts with secrets slowly getting revealed down the book. Jasper's PTSD was dealt with sensitively.

I liked the constant tug and war and skirmishes between the two main characters. Jasper need

I thought that this was a very enjoyable read. Jasper and Renee were both charismatic characters. I liked the fact that neither one was perfect because that created an even playing field and it made them easy to connect with. The storyline was fun and it kept me entertained and actively rooting for this couple. I felt that their chemistry was good and I found it very easy to get invested in these imperfect people and the doubts that plagued them on the road from no strings to HEA. In my opinion ...more

A good heart and a soft touch could be the key to happily ever after or spell the beginning of the end for two broken soulmates. Meant to be Yours is an emotional minefield. Renee and Jasper are good people, struggling with baggage that has haunted them for years. When life throws a bone their way, can love step in and heal the unfixable parts of their souls? Mallery has a way with hearts. Even in the ugly moments, she never fails to let the sunshine in to somehow lighten the load. All it takes ...more

Being a big fan of Susan Mallery's books, in Happily Inc ,this is Series #5.. Susan has so many wonderful books in series, I had to go back and recall the characters in this series. Ive read so many of hers and like stand alone books that dont continue but this one did catch my interest and will be looking for series #6.

The Summer of Sunshine and Margot was my first book of Susan Mallery's and it did not disappoint, so when I was offered the opportunity to read this fifth book in her Happily Inc. series, I jumped at the chance! The author provided sufficient backstory in Meant to Be Yours so I did not feel perplexed with the places, people and previous proceedings.

Straightaway, I felt an immediate connection to the main character Jasper Dembenski, an author and veteran. As the story progressed I was

Jasper is a former military man suffering from PTSD. He became a famous writer and is returning to his home in the small town of Happily Inc after a successful tour and eventually adopted a dog along the way. I was provided with an ARC of this title by Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This was a light-hearted romance about a couple who wants nothing more than a casual, no strings attached relationship.

Renee has been burned too many times by her own expectations. Her family is unique, and has cost her disappointment in love. She is determined to avoid being hurt, and knows she will never find the supportive bond her friends have found.

I was happy to see Jasper get his HEA. Renee is so good at her job, but she is just a bit lonely. She has had her eye on Jasper, but didn't know how to approach him about having a fling. She is sure that he wants to have a no strings relationship and so does she. Renee just isn't sure how to go about it. That is taken out of her hands. It is explosive between them. Serial killer author Jasper hooks up with wedding planner Renee in order to finish the book that he is writing. He needs to give his character a love interest but has no idea how to write a woman into his plot. Working with Renee not only gets him his storyline but so much more. I have read every book in this series. I have grown to know the people in this series. So, it is special when I read the latest book in this series. There are new people to meet while also visiting with old friends.

Renee is a sweetie. I liked her right away. Not to say that Jasper was not nice as well. I just took a bit longer to warm up to him. Also, when it came to these two hooking up; I would have liked for them to get to know each other better and further into the story before they hooked
I thought this one was very sweet, both Jasper and Renee were a bit nutty in their own way, yet together they worked. They weren't perfect, they had their spats and had to work through them, but the thing is they wanted to work through them. It was great to each of them face their fears and realize that they were ok and for them to want more and find it with each other. Of course their friends were around to chime in and give advice, which made for some fun.

An author who gets a bit too engrossed in his process, a wedding planner that will protect her brides and grooms at all costs.....what could possibly go wrong when two people are so very much alike! Well with the exception that both are absolutely horrible at connecting with members of the opposite sex! Incredibly fun, with a sexy hero clueless about women, and a super focused, highly capable heroine with hidden depths, Meant to Be Yours was an utter delight to read.

When Susan Mallery branched off from her long-running Fool’s Gold series and started Happily Inc., I never dreamed I’d come to love this series just as much as I have Fool’s Gold. But I do! The characters are unique, the romances are flirty and modern, and the

Another great book by Susan Mallery! This story was like a big ice cream cone on a hot summer day, what a treat. I tend to get bogged down in series as there is no major difference in the individual stories, but this had enough different things going on to hold my interest. I especially loved Renee’s Mother, the animal psychic. She should have her own story. Even though this is part of a series it is easily read as a stand alone.
