I always expect an amazing book from this author, especially during the holidays. This book…it was so much more for me. It grabbed my heart from the very first pages and never let go, even after I finished. I won’t retell the story – you should read it for yourself as Ms. Thayne does a much better job than I ever could – but I can tell you some of the things I loved.

What happens to Elizabeth Hamilton is devastating. What starts as postpartum depression morphs into something so bad that it gutted

If you are looking for a somewhat angsty, Hallmark movie style Christmas romance that also does a great job of highlighting the seriousness of post-partum depression, then Coming Home for Christmas is definitely worth picking up! This is a second-chance romance involving a woman who left her husband and two small children and disappeared for seven years. Now her husband has tracked her down to prove he is innocent of her suspected murder. Why did she leave and where has she been all this time? I ...more

Each of the books in the Haven Point series can be read as a stand-alone, but when you read it as a series, you can truly connect with the characters. Coming Home for Christmas is Book #10 in this series and we finally get to find out what happened to Elizabeth Hamilton, Luke's wife.

Depression is a subject that is very difficult to cover in a novel, but RaeAnne Thayne handled it with compassion and sincerity. This was a true Christmas story, showing the love and hope for a family and the people

This is a book that defines the "spirit of Christmas" for me. It is one of those books that IMPACTS a reader long after you have read it. I will remember this story and the characters for many years to come. You hear about postpartum depression but you don't really know the depths that a woman can sink to and what she is capable of thinking, feeling and doing when it hits. We tend to think that she can control her thoughts and actions and just "get over it". Sadly, that is not always true. In th ...more

First I must say I read the earlier book in this series where Elizabeth went missing so I have been waiting for this one to find out what happened to her.
I had so much empathy for Luke how he had to put up with so many people thinking he was to blame for her disappearance, some even hinting at murder. And oh the kids losing their mother, just heart breaking.
RaeAnne Thayne writes with such compassion about the hardships that can happen in real life, and she did a wonderful job with this book t

Anticipation over, Luke and Elizabeth’s reunion, although tense and uncertain, was what I have been waiting for in this series. Since most of Haven Point, Idaho, believed Luke murdered Elizabeth, and with the district attorney about to charge him, Luke’s bringing her back was necessary, even though he didn’t want her there. Now he can get divorced, get cleared, and move on with his life and their two children, Cassie, almost 10 and Bridger, almost 8. Missing for seven years, Luke’s friend, FBI a ...more

This book tugs on so many heart strings, but Author RaeAnne Thayne has a way of doing that! From Brambleberry House to Haven Point, journeys of discovery and reconnection lead to a path of understanding and, possibly, forgiveness. Luke and Elizabeth have lost so much time. Can they recover from the curveballs life has thrown them? I enjoyed Luke’s anger and openness, but mostly I enjoyed how integral the children were to the storyline. Their feelings mattered, and they were always treated with r ...more

COMING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS was quite the read! Elizabeth left home seven years ago, and now, her husband Luke has come to bring her back. At the beginning, we know that her disappearance was complicated, though the details take some time to reveal. Luke and Elizabeth have two children, Cassie (now 10) and Bridger (now almost 8), who have grown up believing their mother was dead, since this was what Luke believed.

Luke was surprised when his friend and FBI agent told him Elizabeth was still alive a

Welcome back to Haven Point!

We finally have Luke & Elizabeth's story. I remember when the author had that little teaser in the last chapter of A Soldier's Secret and I kept thinking it was going to be complete torture having to wait for their story, but the time is finally here and it was so worth the wait!

I have loved all the Haven Point books, but this one was my favorite.

Oh the feels! Tissues will be needed.

This is the 10th book in the Haven Point series, however the books may be read as stand alones. I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This book is Luke and Elizabeth’s story. Seven years prior to the beginning of the book, Elizabeth had walked out of the house on a stormy, wintry night, never to be heard from again. Her parents, with whom she had been very close, had died suddenly and she had suffered from post-partum depression. She was depressed after her paren ...more

I have wanted to read Luke's story for quite a while, after it is 'introduced' in The Cottages on Silver Beach (it's his sister's book, but it was Luke and his missing wife that caught my attention). This is one of occasions in which I WISHED the (already) novel-length book is slightly longer because I felt that the reunion progress between Luke and Elizabeth was not enough.

Although most of the reasons of what happened to Elizabeth was a daytime soap-ish far-fetched ((view s

Coming Home for Christmas is a very charming story. It brought up a few questions for me but overall, it was warm. I found I related to Elizabeth/Sonia with her depression, disabilities, and scars.
Now with my questions...I thought the accident and the seven-year absence a little far-fetched, although it is very necessary to the plot. Would police, emts, or the hospital not have further investigated Elizabeth's identity after the accident and not assumed she was married to the driver in the acci

Coming Home For Christmas is book 10 in the Haven Point series by RaeAnne Thayne. It does work as a stand alone book, but I definitely want to go back and read the previous ones.

Several years ago, Elizabeth Hamilton disappeared and everyone suspected her husband Luke of killing her. There was never enough evidence to charge him with it...until now.

Luke has known where Elizabeth was for a few months, but hasn't gone to get her because for some reason she left him and their kids and he is having

One dark night Luke's wife Elizabeth stumbled out of her house lost in the fog of a deep dark depression.  The night was cold and snowy, and she wasn't heard of again. What happened to her? Did she die? Has she chosen another life and family? Luke has always wondered as he has spent the seven intervening years being a wonderful Dad to his daughter Cassie and son Bridger.

When by some miracle she is found and returns to their lives it is with very mixed and varied feelings on all their parts. What

I don't know where to start this book was so relateable to many things I have seen a lot of friends go through.

I really enjoyed reading the journey of finding your lost love and the road it took to rediscover it.
This is one of my favorite series of books experiencjng the characters grow in each book.

People are so quick to have opinions relating to others without knowing the whole story of what went on in the persons life.

I felt bad for both characters and for the kids of this family. We all kno

I'm always delighted when RaeAnne Thayne gives me another opportunity to return to the fictional community of Haven Point. Coming Home for Christmas is delightful and I couldn't stop reading! This novel features a unique plot centered around Elizabeth's disappearance and 7-year absence from her husband Luke and their two children. I can only imagine how difficult it is to write a plausible novel involving a traumatic brain injury, and the author handles this tricky plot device with her usual war ...more

I have been waiting for Luke's story and I was not disappointed. He is stubborn, but he is also loving and forgiving. At first he doesn't want to hear why Elizabeth left him or why she stayed away. But, once he finds out, he can't help but think it was partially his fault. He has been raising their two children by himself for seven years and all of a sudden Elizabeth is back in his life. Should he let her see the children? What if she takes off again? Elizabeth has had it rough during the time s ...more

Elizabeth has been involved in multiple tragic events, including postpartum depression which caused her to run from her children before she hurt them, and a car accident which stole her memories. It's been a long road back and she has finally managed to piece her history together, but doesn't believe she deserves to have the family she loves. When her husband, who has been accused of her murder, shows up and demands that she come home to straighten things out and sign divorce papers, she's beyon ...more

This book hit extremely close to home for me and I didn’t finish it. I have a neurological disorder which I was born with. I had what doctors referred to as a stroke in my brain in 1993.I’d only been married for 9 months. I was in a facility for 5 weeks. I didn’t even remember my ex husband for days. I had to relearn to do simple things like Elizabeth did in this book.My ex-husband used that against me to get full custody of our then three year old boy/girl twins. We’d been married for 6 years be ...more

Oh my how I love the Haven Point series. This story was amazing. It made me laugh, it made me cry. What an incredible story of strength, stamina and forgiveness! It shows how people while making what they think are the right choices can turn out to be wrong and have dire consequences yet at the same time forgiveness and healing can be instrumental to putting people back on the right path to happiness. I hope this is not the last book in this series. I have loved every one of them and look forwar ...more

Coming Home for Christmas is book 10 in the Haven Point series. I have always enjoyed the books on this series, and wow this one certainly didn't disappoint. Another great book! This is a continuation of the Haven Point series and this series never disappoints. This one is the story of Luke and his children. His wife went missing and he has been living under a cloud of suspicion that he murdered her, and the town has been whispering for years. This book answers all the question and is so heart lifting and makes you want to cheer for everyone. It is such a good read and a great Christmas story. RaeAnne never disappoints and leaves you wanting more.

I received an ARC from NetGalley and a hard copy from the author, this is my voluntary review of Coming Home for Christmas. This is a fabulously wonderful book exploring love, pain, and forgiveness. No one writes a love story better than RaeAnne Thayne!!! Coming Home is a book that you want to end but you don't want to end. I'm so sad when I finish one of That he's books but my heart is happy! ☺ I highly recommend this book to all readers. Enjoy! 📚

Coming Home for Christmas is a story about second chances, family, healing and forgiveness.
This is a beautifully written story that will definately tear at your heart strings and expose raw emotions. RaeAnne Thayne had created loveable characters you cant help but cheer for.
I do have to say I did struggle with this book at times because I am a mom of two little ones and it felt unrealistic at times.
I recieved an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

I love Christmas and I love Christmas stories. I didn’t immediately get into the book but because I know RaeAnne Thayne is a great writer I wanted to finish this story. And yes RaeAnne once again pulled me into the characters and delivered a great book. She showed me that even characters in a book are not perfect. We all have struggles we have to overcome. Way to go RaeAnne. Once again you knocked it out of the park!!

I'm not one of those people who knew from birth she was destined to become a writer. I always loved to read and throughout my childhood I could usually be found with a book in my hands. To the disgust of my friends, I even enjoyed creative writing assignments that made them all groan. But I had other dreams besides writing. I wanted to be an actress or a teacher or a lawyer.
