Oh, my heart. This book stole a piece of my heart. It was captivating and a real page turner. I am a big fan of the ‘I have loved you for years’ plot especially when it is the hero who has pined over the heroine for years.

Gray has been in love with his best friend’s girl for a really long time. He pushed aside his feelings and was the third wheel to them. He watched their relationship play out and a bit of him died every day until he couldn’t handle it anymore. Years passed and Gray and Knox ar

I loved the previous two books in the series and this was no different. Gray and Knox’s friends to lovers story was everything I’d hoped for. Gray has been in love with Knox his entire life but he couldn’t be with her because she dated his best friend. Erika Kelly has been my go-to author when I want a well written contemporary romance with a hero that will make me swoon. I highly recommend this series!

I’ve been reflecting on this book for about a week and I’m still trying to figure out how the title works for this story because the “boyfriend” in question in my opinion is not careless at all; he is thoughtful, protective, and a good guy all the way around. Normally I zip through an Erika Kelly book, but I struggled a bit with The Careless Boyfriend.

After the car he was riding in rips through Knox Holliday’s house and destroys the couture wedding gowns she has made for her fashion wee

Nothing says angst like unrequited love. Though I'm not a fan of it, I was glued to this. I've enjoyed the first two Bowie brothers I was curious about Gray. Gray and Knox were childhood friends, Robert their other friend and an ex of Knox was an addict. He was part of the reason there was a rift in Knox and Gray's relationship. While Knox was from the other side of the tracks, Gray was always there for her and it was hard when the Robert turned out had an addiction it was more than they could h ...more

I was gifted a copy for an honest review.

I really loved Knox and Gray together in this book. Gray was caring, loving and supportive. He had been in the background for years always wanting Knox but never acting on it as she was with his best friend. Fast forward 7 years and they ‘crash’ in to each other and so the story begins. They get to know each other again - Knox gets to understand Gray’s feeling and open herself up to the fact they could be together - she never thought she was good enough.

This is my first time to read a book by this author and, besides being surprised with how much I enjoyed the overall storyline, I was totally impressed by the quality of her work and her writing style. It's so fresh and clean. I haven’t read the first two books in the Bad Boyfriend Series, but had no problem catching up with the story here, and I have every intention of reading the others before the fourth book is released in October 2019.

The more-than-generous book blurb sets the stage providin

Gray and Knox grew up and went to school together, they were just from opposite sides of the town. Gray was also best friends with Knox’s boyfriend, and he was secretly in love with her. A chance disaster brings them back into each other’s lives, and nothing will stop Gray from showing her how he’s always felt.

Absolutely loved this book! Gray was such a good guy, and I loved how he wanted to do everything he could to help Knox.

Erika Kelly does it again with her newest release, The Careless Boyfriend. Book 3 in her Bad Boyfriend series, takes us from Hawaii to New Zealand and finally back to Calamity, Wyoming, Kelly’s fictional town that I absolutely adore. The Careless Boyfriend has everything that I’ve come to love about this series: strong family dynamics, a strong, yet feminine heroine, and a Bowie brother that is vulnerable, sexy, and dedicated to his family.

There is so much to love about The Careless Boyfriend.

**SPOILERS** This book had so many aspects to it, but loyalty was the main feature of the book. In high school when Robert was into drugs and getting into a lot of trouble, his girlfriend at the time Knox (the h) always stuck by his side trying to get him to sober up which didn't happen until the disastrous prom night. Gray was the third wheel and was always in love with Knox but would never go behind his former best friends back and so he left them both behind because he knew he couldn't be the ...more

Amazing friends to lovers romance. Gray has feelings for his best friend's girl and she has no clue because basically she thought he was too good for her. Knox has had a lonely life, between her mom's wanderlust and her boyfriend, Robert's addictions. Gray was always there for her until he realized he enabled her while she was in the codependent relationship with Robert. They all cut ties in one way or another and Knox has a somewhat stable life as a designer, except for Luc's manipulations. Gra ...more

The Careless Boyfriend by Erika Kelly is book three in her Bad Boyfriend series. While every book is about another couple and can easily be read as standalone, I ecommend to read the books in order. The previous books are The World's Worst Boyfriend and The Heartless Boyfriend.
But back to The Careless Boyfriend. Gray Bowie is in love with his best friends girlfriend, since a long time. But for the sake of their happiness he stepped back.

This was an excellent read with a great storyline like 2nd chance, if you ask Gray, but their very 1st Romance and friends to lovers.
I loved Gray's character, he showed the world exactly what he wanted them to see and nothing else. He had most people fooled into thinking he didn't take anything too serious.
When he and Knox met up again, things changed for these two. I was totally enthralled at how caring Gray was and everything he did for Knox. This was love and there's heat in here!

Three books into the series and I still think that the Bowie brothers are douches when they actually are not. Each man has his own winning attributes and yet I begin each book in the series thinking that they must have done something bad and I will dislike them. These men have big hearts though and each one so far has won me over in some way. Will's story is still my favorite though. I liked Gray and Knox's story, but I didn't like some parts of it. Both of them seemed to have feelings for each ...more

The Careless Boyfriend is just as absorbing as the first two "Bad Boyfriend". This best friend's friend and friends to lovers story brings a completely different dimension to this genre.

Gray is an adrenaline junkie who flips from one extreme sport to another.

Knox has been best friend to Gray from an early age. Whereas Gray comes from wealth, Knox comes from the opposite side.

Robert is the other one who forms this trio of friendship as well as being Knox's boyfriend.

When things takes a turn for

There's a reason why I dislike reviewing books that are part of a series and this book is one of those reasons. Throughout the book, I felt that I was missing pieces of the other characters such as why the Bowie brothers have a toddler baby sister or the details behind the older two Bowie brothers. Sometimes there are hints or clues to give a new reader a glimpse of these details so the reader isn't left confused about the minor characters that play an integral role in the storyline or pushing t ...more

Thank you Erika Kelly, Inkslinger PR and the publisher for a copy of the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

You know - everything that happened to us as kids impacts how we act/react to our environment as adults. It's true. It's especially true for these characters. Yes, this is a work of fiction, but it's one of those that deals with real life issues.

Knox, Gray, and Robert were all close friends growing up. Knox and Robert were a couple for years, a relationship Gray would love to have with her instead. Then one awful night Gray couldn't take it a

Is there any way for Erika Kelly to make the Bowie brothers any more attractive??? These guys are so far from the titles given to each for this series - I want one for myself.

Gray has been struggling to be seen his entire life. When he wasn't on a desperate bid for his brothers' and dad's attention, he had to deal with being on the outskirts while his best friend got the girl, Knox Holliday. Now, he has a chance to be Knox's savior, but what will happen as his old feelings keep popping up? Will

The Careless Boyfriend by Erika Kelly was full of angst, chemistry and hope for more. Gray Bowie has been in love with his best friend’s ex for years. It devastated him when they were together, and he kept his feelings hidden and then she was forbidden as the ex of his friend. But now they are reunited, and he can help her fulfill her dreams.

Knox Kennedy is finally getting the chance to launch her career, but an accident puts it all in jeopardy. Gray is determined to help get back on track and

Oh the pain of unrequited love, I've been there Gray, I feel ya! Maybe that's why I liked this book so much because it feels so real!

Gray has been in love with Knox forever but as she's his friend's girl, she's always been off limits. Desperately wanting to be there for her when he sees hardship coming is impossible for him. I love a good forbidden storyline but loving your best friend’s girlfriend/boyfriend brings an Eeekkk layer in. That's a hard thing to get around. That's what Knox, Gray, and Robert all struggle with. Gray was insanely sweet and so patient with Knox. I wanted to kick her in the tush sometimes so she'd get a clue!!

Miss Kelly writes a vicious angsty emotional story. I've read the other two books in this series and thoroughly enjoyed them both. They were not nearly as emotional as The Careless Boy

Ms Kelly is an author that I haven’t read much of (this is only the second book of her’s I’ve read and it’s been almost 2 years) and The Careless Boyfriend makes me want to read more.
This is the third book in a series about the Bowie brothers (don’t worry, it’s a stand alone) and focuses on Gray as fate brings him back into the orbit of his high school friend/crush seven years after he saw her last.
I liked both Gray and Knox. Given their history, it felt like their reconnection to friends

The Careless Boyfriend is the third book in the series of the Bowie Brothers and this book was my favorite one so far. Gray Bowie and Knox Holliday’s story starts from when they were in Kindergarten. Gray’s feelings for Knox always remained constant even though they didn’t see each other for many years. A little unrequited love that morphs into a wonderful and unique love story between former high school friends. I don’t know how Erika does it, her writing and romances have the perfect amount of highs and lows, sweet and angsty moments, interwoven with a small town, family dynamic. I’ve loved this series since the youngest brother got his HEA, and each book has only gotten better.
