Crime Patrol: The Most Thrilling Stories

Rate this book
Spine-chilling stories that delve deep into the workings of the criminal mind, and superbly dissect the anatomy of crime.

A cop lusts after a young woman; the daughter of a rapist is oblivious to her father’s crimes; a pregnant woman finds her anger spiralling out of control; a bunch of rich businessmen stake all their wealth and end up getting killed most brutally—these and other stories bring Annup Sonii’s high-octane narration, and Oswald Pereira’s excellent research and writing to the pages of this book. Crime Never Pays—as Crime Patrol warns us over and over—but it does make for nail-biting, edge-of-the-seat reading.

AJAY DEVGN
Crime never pays, but it makes for good reading. This book gives you a ringside view of some of the most dangerous crimes,

MANOJ BAJPAYEE
It’s imperative to understand the psyche of criminals and analyse the reasons for these brutal incidents in order to lessen crime. May this book guide us in that direction.

SHILPA SHETTY
Shocking, moving, and riveting stories so well-written. Intriguing to see the modus operandi of criminals and the police’s skills in nabbing them. From an avid ‘Crime Patrol’ watcher and fan…this is an eye opener and a great read.

“Criminals should be punished, not fed pastries.”
― Lemony Snicket, The Blank Book

Crime never pays. Or does it? This is most intriguing and gruesome aspect of humanity. Why does people turn to crime? Is it greed, poverty, lust, laziness, sloth or pure evil? This book tries to throw light on these through some real-life crime stories.

Anup Soni is a veteran actor and host of popular serial “Crime Patrol” on Sony network. Oswald Pereira is a seasoned journalist and author. These two collaborated to bring to readers some real time crimes.

These are eight criminal stories in all. The reasons for committing the crime are varied but the end is similar. In the end they were caught and imprisoned. The stories are told in a rapid flowing way so that you don’t have time to feel bogged down or get bored.

In some stories police investigation is shown which is liked. Some stories are told in first person like “Skeleton in the school” and no investigation was there, which I found disappointing.

In all a very engrossing book and a class apart from romantic trash Indian authors write. 4/5 stars.

This was a really frightening but enlightening book. I am proud of the Indian police department who have managed to solve these crimes & who have proven to be real super heroes in uniform. The last story of the acid attack victim was very inspiring & will stay with me for a long time to come. The book was well written, well presented & very intriguing. It was good to read, but not so comforting to think that all these killings were real & done by real people. A excellent book but very -very true to life. I loved it. Kudos to Annup Sonii & Oswald Pereira !

Filled with thrilling stories & gut-wrenching mystery.

As I have watched almost every episode of crime patrol I was more than thrilled and equally excited when I learnt that the book is going to get launched. The book is filled with fast-paced thriller stories which give you goosebumps and equally leave you guessing throughout the story that who is the killer. They have picked up the most fascinating and mind-numbing crime episodes and have moulded them into this beautiful book. Do buy and read for yourself you won't regret if you are a crime & murder mystery genre lover like me. Lastly SAAVDHAN RAHE SATARK RAHE.

A good collection of really interesting crimes. While they are definitely shocking, they made a point in the end. Loved the way the book ends on a positive note.
Maybe more stories could have been incorporated. It was a short read.

I have lapped up crime fiction ever since I read my first detective thriller in class 7 -- a Perry Mason. Crime Patrol - The Most Thrilling Stories -- is more gruesome, because these stories are real and you wonder how depraved a person can be to commit such crimes. This book contains eight stories, but I wish there had been more. The stories are equally from the crime perspective as they are from the police angle, and you learn how the cops find their breakthroughs. Great drama -- on the whole, a riveting read.
