In Happily Inc, love means never having to say “I do”…

Wedding coordinator Renee Grothen isn’t meant for marriage. Those who can, do. Those who can’t, plan. But she never could have planned on gorgeous, talented thriller writer Jasper Dembenski proposing—a fling, that is. Fun without a future. And the attraction between them is too strong for Renee to resist. Now she can ha

His voice was low and teasing. It sent ripples down her spine and made her wish she was the kind of woman who could look a man in the eye while inviting him back to her place. But she wasn’t and she couldn’t.

“So you’d be using me for sex… I don’t know.” He raised and lowered his shoulders. “I’ve never been anyone’s sex toy before.” “You didn’t really just say that.” He dropped his gaze to the floor. “I feel used.” “Just stop it. No one believes that for a second.” He looked at h

I cannot remember the last time I was this disappointed by a book and if I am honest I would probably have DNF’d it if I hadn’t been anticipating Jasper getting his own book from the time I finished its predecessor Not Quite Over You, back in April. Jasper and Wynn’s Friends-with-benefits situation, played out and ended as a secondary story-line in that one, and I have to admit I was disappointed that the author didn’t see him and the single mother in the long-term

EXCERPT: 'You git, you hear me? Go on out of here or I'll get my shotgun.'

The angry words came from his left. Jasper instinctively went on alert, his body tensing as he spun in that direction. Using the RV he'd just passed for cover, he backtracked so he could come round from behind and see what was happening.

'You heard me,' the man yelled. 'Get out of here.'

Jasper stayed close to the RV as he circled around and then stepped into view, prepared to get between some jerk and whoever he was threa

So this was a great romance by Mallery. I just found out she has a series called Happily Inc. that I just heard of it. This is the 5th book in the series. I have read her other series and now want to go back and read the beginning of this one. Readers also get a nice bonus of a short story starring a woman we find out is the adopted daughter of a Crown Prince in the Middle East. She falls for a man livin

MEANT TO BE YOURS (Happily Inc Book 5) by Susan Mallery is a contemporary romance set in the wedding destination town of Happily Inc. Even though this is the fifth book in the series, it can easily be read as a standalone romance with a complete HEA.

Renee Grothen is a wedding coordinator at Weddings Out of the Box. She works hard at making sure everything is as perfect as possible for such a memorable day for every couple. As happy

I’ve enjoyed most of these books, so I couldn’t help but request this one.

I liked Renee and Jasper well enough. They’re both good people and I feel like that is the best thing I can say. The inner monologue from both of them is little bland and the chemistry was non-existent. I did love Renee’s mom, even if that thread was sort of ridiculous.

Plot wise, it was okay. I loved the addition of the pets and the weddings are always a fun aspect. My main complaint is that the story didn’t fee

I love the communities Mallery creates. I did find myself getting pretty annoyed at Renee, though. It took her way too long to figure out her life!

Renee Grothen has always gone the extra mile for her clients. As a wedding coordinator, she is willing to do just about anything. For example, allowing one couple's dog to serve as the best man. However, when Jasper Dembenski wants to take their non-commitment relationship a step further - and no, not what you might be thinking ...

Okay, I will start over. Jasper is a NYT bestselling author. He wants to add a different character to his very successful series. What better way than to use Renee's b

The small town of Happily, Inc. has become one of my favorite places in the book world and I’m glad to be back in the story Meant to be Yours. Renee Grothen plans weddings at Weddings in a Box and knows that marriage and love aren’t for her. When she finally meets thriller author Jason Dembenski she’s nervous because she’s fantasized about the handsome man many times and now he’s right in front of her. Jason Dembenski has also made Happily Inc his home since his car broke down here and found the ...more

Meant to be Yours is #7 in Susan Mallery's Happily Inc series. However it can easily be read as a stand alone although I am sure readers of the series will be very happy to catch up with other previous characters.

Happily Inc is a town that has come to life because it caters for specialty destination weddings. In this book we meet Renee, who is one of the actual wedding co- ordinators. She helps plan all the details and sees it through to the end. She is a lovely down to earth person, except that

One of my favorite things is reading Susan Mallery's romances. I just love them. I think it's because it's also about the people and not just the end result. Mallery builds a world that seems alive and real. I enjoy that in my authors.

We are back in Happily, Inc and ready to visit. From the moment you meet Jasper, you want to know more about him. There is a cloud of mystery about him that needs to be blown away. Pr

Happily Inc is a wedding destination town in California. Weddings Out of the Box gets a lot of business all throughout the year since they specialize in themed weddings. Renee is one of the top wedding coordinators they have, and even though she likes planning weddings, she can't see herself planning her own. Jasper hasn't been living in Happily Inc for long, but the town is just the right place for him to get his writing done. Just off a book tour and working on a new book, when he meets Renee, ...more

Meant to Be Yours by Susan Mallery
Happily Inc. #5

Cute story with two people who don’t want a “relationship” or feeling they will ever fall in love doing just that by the end of the book. Jasper thinks he is “broken” after all he has seen in the military and Renee is fearful of having her heart broken again. Their agreement to have a monogamous benefits only type friendship without emotion is settled into fairly quickly and then Jasper’s need to research the wedding planning business for his next

Being a big fan of Susan Mallery's books, in Happily Inc ,this is Series #5.. Susan has so many wonderful books in series, I had to go back and recall the characters in this series. Ive read so many of hers and like stand alone books that dont continue but this one did catch my interest and will be looking for series #6.

Renee's past makes her lean toward never getting married, she may work as a wedding coordinator but her future is groomless. The only problem with this is that she is attracted to Jasper a local author. She wouldn't mind doing the friends with benefits thing with him but isn't sure she can handle it in the end. Jasper doesn't think he is fit for a relationship, he has been damaged by years in the military and doesn't think he is whole enough for anyone. The two meet up at game night and the spar ...more

A fun book which depicted the romance between the wedding planner Renée and an author who was ex-military Jasper. Friends with benefits transformed to love.

Reading a Susan Mallery after a long time, the story retained her trademark signs of humor and warm relationships. Both Kasper and Renée had their own pasts with secrets slowly getting revealed down the book. Jasper's PTSD was dealt with sensitively.

I liked the constant tug and war and skirmishes between the two main characters. Jasper need

A little too "modern" for my tastes. Renee and Jasper become "bootie" buddies right from the get-go, a concept I have little patience with. Where is the mystery? The romance? The specialness that having sex should have? I feel sorry for the modern young woman of today if this is all she expects from life. Granted the love comes later, but almost too late.

There’s a theory that dogs come into our lives because we need them, but cats come into our lives because they need us, can’t admit it, and the entire universe is rigged to do their bidding anyway. I digress, just a bit.

But this story begins with a dog. In fact, poor Koda is the first person who comes into Jasper Dembenski’s life because they are meant to be his. And helps Jasper to heal enough – or to acknowledge the progress he’s made in his own healing e

Terrific book. This story is about Renee, a wedding planner at Weddings Out of the Box, and Jasper, the local author who writes mystery novels. Happily is a small town, so they've seen each other around but don't really know each other. That changes one games night at The Boardroom when their partnership in a game strikes unexpected sparks. Neither is interested in anything permanent, but what could go wrong with some commitment-free fun?

Renee loves her job as a wedding planner. There is nothing

I feel like a need to preface this review with an explanation. I love Susan Mallery’s books. I’ve been reading them for years. In fact, she’s one of the contemporary romance authors I read when I switched sub genres years ago. I enjoy her humor, I like the pacing her couples are given to get to their HEA and I like how she writes their intimate moments...not behind closed doors, but certainly not overly graphic (although I read that stuff, too)
I really liked Jasper! Does he understand women? Not

I thought that this was a very enjoyable read. Jasper and Renee were both charismatic characters. I liked the fact that neither one was perfect because that created an even playing field and it made them easy to connect with. The storyline was fun and it kept me entertained and actively rooting for this couple. I felt that their chemistry was good and I found it very easy to get invested in these imperfect people and the doubts that plagued them on the road from no strings to HEA. In my opinion ...more

I have read every book in this series. I have grown to know the people in this series. So, it is special when I read the latest book in this series. There are new people to meet while also visiting with old friends.

Renee is a sweetie. I liked her right away. Not to say that Jasper was not nice as well. I just took a bit longer to warm up to him. Also, when it came to these two hooking up; I would have liked for them to get to know each other better and further into the story before they hooked

I was a little taken aback when I saw that this book was about Jasper and Renee, not Jasper and Wynn. But, I decided to trust the author and I'm glad I did. I ended up really enjoying Meant to Be Yours. It's probably my favorite out of the series. I just loved watching Jasper and Renee fall in love despite fighting it. They had great chemistry. Jasper has grown a lot since he showed up earlier in the series. I think the author made the right choice in not pairing him with Wynn. Renee was a much ...more

A good heart and a soft touch could be the key to happily ever after or spell the beginning of the end for two broken soulmates. Meant to be Yours is an emotional minefield. Renee and Jasper are good people, struggling with baggage that has haunted them for years. When life throws a bone their way, can love step in and heal the unfixable parts of their souls? Mallery has a way with hearts. Even in the ugly moments, she never fails to let the sunshine in to somehow lighten the load. All it takes ...more

While I like this writer, I don’t actually care for all of her stuff. This is one of her series which I really like.
Good characters w/ chemistry, some humor, good story.
There’s an issue with Renee& her mom. When you find out what the “secret” is, it was an unexpected surprise. Really clever, fit in well with the other characters/stories from this series & very creative/inventive.
I liked the romance b/w Ed & verity. It was really sweet & I could have had more with those characters.

This book was BAD. like....I'm not sure how I finished bad.

Renee is afraid of love because she's been shunned for her mom being a pet psychic.
