Edwin Black's controversial and bitter-pill crisis plan to rescue America once the oilstops. The must-have go-to book once the oil stops or perhaps just before it does. Companion to the best selling, award-winning InternalCombustion (St. Martins 2006). See www.Planforoilcrisis.com plus www.internalcombustionbook.com. By the author of IBM and the Holocaust and Internal Combustion.

Anyone concerned with the future of energy policies and supplies should read this short book. Black clearly describes the source (and frailty) of current energy sources and describes a series of cogent strategies for decreasing the dependence of the US on foreign oil. Some of the strategies appear incompletely developed and I'm sure that lobbyists for the oil industry will find major holes in the reasoning. However, ignoring the facts is not a viable strategy and implementing the ideas put forth is critical for the future health of US society.
