Killer Lawyer is the latest addition to the Jake Wolfe series by Mark Nolan. It is an incredibly clever, intense, gripping and suspenseful read. This has a complex, multi-layered storyline- with lots of action, drama, intrigue, humour, danger, tension, and mystery.
We once again team up with former marine Jake Wolfe and follow his lead, as all the excitement unfolds. Jake has earned his law degree, and has also been recruited to undertake dangerous, covert assignments on behalf of the gov

Another memorable story in this fabulous series. Mark Nolan certainly knows how to write an exciting and tense Action Thriller. I quite enjoy a plot that I can’t guess what’s going to happen, and there are a couple of Wow moments in this story that I wasn’t expecting. This is the third book in the series and I’ve loved each one of them. Jack Wolfe is a great character.
Jake Wolfe may have become a qualified lawyer, but he didn’t seem to have it in him yet to settle down into a normal lifestyle. I
Killer Lawyer (Jake Wolfe Book 3) by Mark Nolan was a pretty okay read that has many heart stopping moments.

My first read by this author, I didn't know what I was getting into. I will say that this book is part of a series, and though this book can be read as a standalone, I did find that there were many things, in regards to character background, development, and past plots; that at times made me feel lost. So I highly suggest reading the other books before this one.

As much as I enjoyed this

Life gets in the way sometimes and leaping before you think puts those you love in the line of fire!!!

Jake Wolfe is a highly trained ex-Marine who worked with the CIA in special ops. He lives with Cody, his adopted K-9 ex-war dog, on the Far Niente. He is seeing Sarah, the veterinarian, but he continues to get "the call," which usually involve ... distractions.

My third book in the series, I fell in love with Cody the first book of the series. This time a serial killer hits way too close to home when his sweet senior neighbor is the next victim of a serial killer. The murders are so random that l

5 out of 5 stars

The story Killer Lawyer (Jake Wolfe Book 3) by Mark Nolan is the next amazing book in a series that is thrilling and page-turning. It took me on a ride that hooked me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the character of Jake Wolfe. He is a man who is tough and intelligent. He believes in consequences for those who commit wrongs. He is also someone who will help those in need. Th

Jake Wolfe is a lawyer. At least that is what it says on his business cards. He doesn't have any paying clients but he wouldn't have time for them anyway. Actually he is one of those rogue operators authors write about who get called on by various Alphabet agencies that make sure they can disavow any knowledge if the mission goes south. What really makes Jake stand out from the others, is his dog, Cody. Jake was a military dog trainer and Cody saw lots of combat as a military dog. Back in the St ...more

Killer Lawyer was an exciting and gripping read and one that I really enjoyed. It’s not my usual reading genre but I have read work by this author before and I was gripped by what I read so I was happy to give his work one more try and again I was so glad I did.
The author has created such a multi-dimensional story that I just couldn’t put it down; he kept me guessing the whole way through with his rich detailed writing full of twists and turns. The multiple poin

In this installment, Killer Lawyer Mark Nolan has hit it out of the park again. This is the third book and it has just as much action, mystery, suspense, drama, and humor as the first two books. I love the characters that Mark Nolan writes about Jake and Cody. Now one would think that Jack and Cody are male characters, you would be half right Jake is a man and Cody is his ex-military dog that goes with him everywhere. That is what I love about the Jack Wolfe stories the fact that there is a huma ...more

Killer Lawyer, Book 3 in the Jake Wolfe Series by Mark Nolan
4 out of 5 Stars
I am a sucker for a good thriller book.  I am a sucker for dogs. I am a sucker for a man in uniform.  Put the three of them together and I am practically head over heels.  Mark Nolan has crafted yet another amazing book with Jake Wolfe and his dog.
Jake is taking on the mob.  Black listers, money movers, whatever you want to call them, they are evil people and worse yet, they are someone responsible for the death of his f

Mark Nolan just gets better and better with each Jake Wolfe story he produces. There is action, suspense and even a little romance in this story. Nolan takes us into the mind of not only Jake but also the psychopath killer.

This is book three in the Jake Wolfe series. It is best read in order because many of the characters carry over from the first two books. After reading the first two books waiting for the next story was not easy to do. Reading this story was like welcoming back an old friend.

Jack Wolfe and Cody are back in another exciting story where they both have to deal with their personal demons while trying to run down a killer terrorizing San Francisco in a series of random shootings. Jake's attitude and mouth keep him in trouble with the authorities he has to work with, his friends and his family. As in the earlier books in this series, the interactions between Jake and his dog set the standard for respect and love. The writing isn't as smooth as Nolan's earlier books, but b ...more

Killer Lawyer by Mark Nolan is the third book in the Jake Wolfe series. This book can be read as a stand-alone however it is the return of the main character so it would be beneficial to read the other books first.
This book was brilliant. It was exciting from start to finish. Mark Nolan takes you you on such a wild ride. The twists and turns just kept on coming. I loved that I couldn’t figure out who the killer was.

This book grabbed my attention from the beginning and kept me on the edge of me seat throughout the entire story!! This book is intense it has drama, action, suspense, and so much more. I loved how the story is told from different POV's including Cody the dog, I thought that was original and awesome. I didn't think the "Jake Wolfe" books could get any better than the first two but, if possible, I would have given this one 6 stars. While there were less bullets and mayhem there were more personal touches to the characters which leads me to believe we're going to get many more stories in this series and I love it. The love between Jake and his dog, Cody, is so touching and from my knowledge of dogs who've been trained for war, a handler and his dog have this special relationship. I'm so lookin ...more

Mark Nolan has created superb characters in Killer Lawyer. Jake Wolfe is a vet who has worked with the CIA and now is after a serial killer. With his best friend, who happens to be of the canine species, he is investigating a murderer who hit too close to home. Criminals should never target friends of a Vet! This book made me laugh out loud and later made me cry. A veteran and a dog, a perfect combination!

I highly recommend this series, they will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat until the end. In this book there is a serial killer killing random people but what will happen when he kills one of Jake's friends? This is where the story becomes about revenge and survival. I enjoyed watching the development of these characters especially Jake and I love his side kick dog. I had a hard time putting their story down, it is worth picking up just for the action thriller journey.

Slow read

It was a difficult read. I skipped many chapters to get to an ending. It was difficult to ascertain if the main character was a super human, or the author was a bit over-kill with the MC’s exploits! The dog was the only bright spot! The ending was more comical than a plot resolution! A majority of the last 15 chapters were too much fantasy - not very believable!

The Fast, the Furious, and the Furry

Seriously, I am a sucker for dogs, but reading some of the other dog mysteries makes me appreciate this series even more. It posses tightly written stories that progresses at slightly less than the speed of of light with superb snark. And every character is still crazy....especially the dog!

This book is a solid 4 stars. Written a little in a pulp style, the story is suspenseful, with a side of Machismo, and unbelievably. Jake Wolfe ex marine, CIA, ex assassin, lawyer, and conditional Marshal. The tricks are all in this book and there is a little for everyone. With a plot that moves quickly, I'm definitely a fan of the series.
