I enjoyed this latest offering from Mark Nolan and once again, I got to spend time with Jake and his dog Cody.

However, he would learn that leaving this life behind would not be easy, has trouble always comes knocking. Whether it was through missions for the CIA or from someone who may have a beef with him. Killer Lawyer is the latest addition to the Jake Wolfe series by Mark Nolan. It is an incredibly clever, intense, gripping and suspenseful read. This has a complex, multi-layered storyline- with lots of action, drama, intrigue, humour, danger, tension, and mystery.
We once again team up with former marine Jake Wolfe and follow his lead, as all the excitement unfolds. Jake has earned his law degree, and has also been recruited to undertake dangerous, covert assignments on behalf of the gov

The townsfolk are all on edge as there is a killer going around town popping people between the eyes. This killer has no MO I guess that is why he is being called the Random Killer.

The way I see a typical day for this guy is that he wakes up thinking this is a good day to die. So he heads out to town looks around at all the people wondering the streets. Maybe they are going to work, to school, to the mall, out to eat, to check the mailbox or maybe they are just out for a nice stroll on a beauti

A heart-pounding new installment in the Jake Wolfe series, Killer Lawyer will hold you captive. I'd be lying if I said Cody wasn't my favorite character. As Jake's loyal partner in justice, Cody will absolutely capture your heart, as Jake's all too eventful life pulls you in. A page-turner that proves you can take the marine out of the military but not out of the man, you won't want to miss out on this thriller that is more action than a summer blockbuster.

Another memorable story in this fabulous series. Mark Nolan certainly knows how to write an exciting and tense Action Thriller. I quite enjoy a plot that I can’t guess what’s going to happen, and there are a couple of Wow moments in this story that I wasn’t expecting. This is the third book in the series and I’ve loved each one of them. Jack Wolfe is a great character.
Jake Wolfe may have become a qualified lawyer, but he didn’t seem to have it in him yet to settle down into a normal lifestyle. I

Now our hero has qualified as a lawyer and wants to live on the right side of the law his past misdemeanors catch up with him and he has to pay back a favor which causes him a conflict of issue.

With his loyal dog beside him to protect, serve and be his extra pair of eyes and ears we are taken on a ride through corruption, murder and being hunted. Mark Nolan has created another exciting story line and cleverly creates new twists and turns to keep the novel fresh and enthralling.

Jake really wants to be a lawyer--he earned his degree but so far all he's done is pro bono work. The CIA uses him for clandestine operations because he is one of the best--his girl friend wants him to STOP. His dog Cody and he live on a boat owned by one of his friends. Cody was also trained by the military--Cody can be a loose cannon just like his Alpha (Jake).

This is a rough and tumble novel which kept me reading until very late at night! The serial killer --well I will just say he is a very

Mark Nolan, you had me at.....secret life and dog. Any mystery novel that has a secret life character immediately has my attention. Why exactly? I have no idea! I guess because....WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE THEY HIDING? And well dogs..... DOG! Who doesn't love a story with a dog in it? Let's get serious here! ;)

Either way, this book was awesome! This book has a great story line with a smooth read. Jake and Cody are quite the team and the author writes their characters so flawlessly. You feel like you

I highly recommend this series, they will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat until the end. In this book there is a serial killer killing random people but what will happen when he kills one of Jake's friends? This is where the story becomes about revenge and survival. I enjoyed watching the development of these characters especially Jake and I love his side kick dog. I had a hard time putting their story down, it is worth picking up just for the action thriller journey.

This is what you want from a thriller! The main character is Jake Wolfe, recently qualified as a lawyer and starting off in his own small business, whilst still stuck with a debt to the government to fulfil. He used to be in the army and then did black work as an assassin for the CIA. He has a years’ worth of service to give and this is causing problems with his girlfriend. She witnessed him killing some men who attacked them and is trying to get her head around this side of him. He lives with h ...more
Killer Lawyer (Jake Wolfe Book 3) by Mark Nolan was a pretty okay read that has many heart stopping moments.

My first read by this author, I didn't know what I was getting into. I will say that this book is part of a series, and though this book can be read as a standalone, I did find that there were many things, in regards to character background, development, and past plots; that at times made me feel lost. So I highly suggest reading the other books before this one.

‘Killer Lawyer’ is the third book in the ‘Jake Wolfe’ series by Mark Nolan, and it was given to me in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book and became completely immersed in the plot from the onset. It was fast-paced, thrilling and a complete page-turner.

The book centre’s around ex-marine turned lawyer/ government assassin Jake Wolfe, who partakes in numerous secret government missions, with his trusty well- trained and highly intelligent dog Cody.

Jake Wolfe is a highly trained ex-Marine who worked with the CIA in special ops. He lives with Cody, his adopted K-9 ex-war dog, on the Far Niente. He is seeing Sarah, the veterinarian, but he continues to get "the call," which usually involve ... distractions.

My third book in the series, I fell in love with Cody the first book of the series. This time a serial killer hits way too close to home when his sweet senior neighbor is the next victim of a serial killer. The murders are so random that l

Killer Lawyer is Book 3 in Mark Nolan’s Jake Wolfe series, which I highly recommend reading in the appropriate order. They follow the crazy life of Jake and his war dog, sidekick/partner, Cody, and as there are many recurring characters and storylines, I think the most enjoyment from this book will come with starting at the beginning of the series.

Here’s what you need to know going in: Jake is really a good guy with a hero complex. He’s served his country and they’re not letti

When I first started reading this book there was a scene where the main character, Jake, committed an act I considered immature and tasteless which made me think "oh no, not another one of those books". I continued reading because the book had sounded interesting so I wanted to give it a fair chance and to my surprise author Mark Nolan soon made me change my mind about his book. The act that so had me starting to rethink my choice of reading material was done as a diversion and it worked success ...more

The story Killer Lawyer (Jake Wolfe Book 3) by Mark Nolan is the next amazing book in a series that is thrilling and page-turning. It took me on a ride that hooked me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the character of Jake Wolfe. He is a man who is tough and intelligent. He believes in consequences for those who commit wrongs. He is also someone who will help those in need. Th

As the third installment in the Jake Wolfe series, I highly suggest reading the first two before diving in. You get a feel for the background of Jake and his dog, Cody, as well as many other characters and situations that have brought them to this story line. Jake isn't one to obey rules -- I guess that's why I find him intriguing. He is former military (which is notorious for rules and regulations!) and now works covert government jobs that still require staying (somewhat) within boundaries. Bu ...more

First and foremost, I have one request. Can we have a book all about Cody? I mean, I love that dog. Seriously. He’s the best part of the entire story – especially when he talks back and keeps Jake in line.

With that ask out of the way; this is book 3 in the Jake Wolfe series. This is the third book I have read in the series and by this author.

I. Love. Them.

Killer Lawyer is the third book in Mark Nolan’s Jake Wolfe series and what a story it is! I have to say that the writing gets better and better with each book! The writer is a master of intense action thrillers and you are guaranteed a head spinning rollercoaster ride! You could read the story as a standalone but you would miss out of having met Jake and Cody and Sarah (Jake’s girlfriend who is a veterinarian) and seen how they began!

Jake Wolfe is a lawyer. At least that is what it says on his business cards. He doesn't have any paying clients but he wouldn't have time for them anyway. Actually he is one of those rogue operators authors write about who get called on by various Alphabet agencies that make sure they can disavow any knowledge if the mission goes south. What really makes Jake stand out from the others, is his dog, Cody. Jake was a military dog trainer and Cody saw lots of combat as a military dog. Back in the St ...more

Killer Lawyer by Mark Nolan is a five star novel. This is the third book in the Jake Wolfe series and it will keep you on the edge of your seat. Even though most series are best read in order, this one is ok to be read as a stand alone. The way the author is able to reel in the reader is fantastic. I could not put this book down. Killer Lawyer was an exciting and gripping read and one that I really enjoyed. It’s not my usual reading genre but I have read work by this author before and I was gripped by what I read so I was happy to give his work one more try and again I was so glad I did.

Killer Lawyer (Jake Wolfe Book 3) - Mark Nolan

Killer Lawyer by Mark Nolan is a phenomenal suspense read that had me sitting on the edge of my seat from beginning until end. It’s the third book in the Jake Wolfe series and my first book by this author, but it certainly won’t be my last. Killer Lawyer is the third book in the Jake Wolfe series by Mark Nolan. While it could probably be read as a stand alone book, I recommend reading the first two books. Not only because they have overlapping characters, and you will have a better understanding of their dynamics, but because they are good! Jake is a complex character, he is a lawyer by day, and an assassin by night. He works with the US Marshals, and also alongside the SFPD. He also is a retired marine, and K9 handler, so he and h ...more

I have read all three books in the Jake Wolfe Series but I think I really liked Killer Lawyer, or book number three, best. I will say, though, any of these books can be read as a standalone.

Mark Nolan weaves a fantastic mystery. Once you read one Jake Wolfe book, you will want to read the others. And, you will be waiting with baited breathe for the next book to come up. I am currently waiting for book number four.

Jake has become like a friend to me. He is very human, which is not always the case
