Back home, his ex-boyfriend’s moved out, and Stephen’s alone and miserable in the hotel bar with his research on obscure ancient Roman holiday ...more

This sounded cute and nice, and I suppose it was, but it didn't wow me or anything. It's a cheery holiday short, but it's kind of insta-lovey and kind of sappy. Not really my style. I did like the Duran Duran appreciation. ...more

Stephen begins a conversation with the bartender, Brian and instead of dismissing Stephen as boring, Brian is intrigued when Stephen begins to discuss his work as a professor at Oxford and encourages him to continue.

Stephen tells Brian that he is here for a historical conference where he is to present

It’s just a slender little short, but it’s exquisitely crafted. I borrowed it on Hoopla and then immediately bought it.
