If you love history. Get this book. If you love horror/paranormal fiction. Get this book. If you love good stories. Get this book.

David Belt hits it out of the park with this historical paranormal novel. You’ll fall in love with Marcus and Melona, and if you’re a fan of Belt’s other novels, you’ll get to hear from some familiar friends.

This isn't my typical book I'll pick up, so I was surprised by how much it drew me in. The characters were so well-developed, it brought me right into the story with them. The writing is very strong and descriptive, and contains a powerful message of how faith in God can change even the most dire situations. Definitely PG-13 for violence, but is offset by the strong religious theme. Overall, great book!

In Thailand, he once fed so many bananas to a monkey, the poor monkey swore off bananas for life. He served as an Latter-day Saint missionary in South Korea and southern California (Korean-speaking), and yes, he loves kimchi. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a BS i ...more
