Henry's birthday present from his Uncle Richard certainly was a surprise ... a bigger one than he at first expected!

Uncle Richard was a toymaker and he had made Henry a magnificent large galleon. It was called The Stinking Rose! But the galleon itself was not the only surprise as Uncle Henry revealed when a voice called out from within the ship Henry thought it a talking ship at first but Uncle Henry soon revealed that it was more than that.

It was when Captain Eightpiece popped out onto the poop deck and addressed Henry that he realised there were miniature pirates on board. And Uncle Richard then told Henry that the captain had given him some gold pieces in order to get help in launching the ship the following day.

At first Richard declared, 'But you can't be real, you're only six inches high.' Eightpiece took exception to this remark and proceeded to show Henry that he was indeed real and even introduced him to his crew.

What follows is very dramatic when some robbers got involved but it all turned out fine and Uncle Richard and Henry eventually waved off the captain and his crew as they set off for adventures anew on the high seas!
