Roger only popped out for breakfast supplies. Was that long enough for Allen to have second thoughts?

Super duper quickie with friends to lovers and the possibility of regrets. But then again, maybe not
The Celtic Rebel (Richard)
Fun little quick read about the morning after friends become lovers for the first time. Enjoyed it.

It's a short scene about the dreaded 'after' portion of a night together, now it the hard light of day. Was it just a fling? A mistake? Do you stay or should you leave right away? Is going out to get breakfast an escape or a kind gesture? All the uncertainty that boils up done in this little story with a very promising end.

I have an unfortunate pile of short stories (well, stories of any length really) that have been sitting unread, some of them for years now. And as I got off to a good start with a couple of them, I thought I'd go through some of the shortest.

This was more of a snippet, really, about two friends who had spent a night together and who both were somewhat unsure the morning after.

It was cute and refreshing that it was told after the fact, but it was maybe just a tad too sweet.

Two stars.

Delightfully fun short read about the morning after and whether its destined to be more or just "about last night".

My favorite trope. Plus you’ve got the awkward morning after...sigh. This was a delight to read.

Basically Katherine summed it up perfectly so I'll just say "read her review". :-) Fun super-short read.

A lone, brave female in a frenetic, testosterone-fuelled family home, she juggles her writing with her other day job as an accountant. She’s written in many genres and across many settings, with award-winning novels and short stories published both online and in print. She says she likes variety in her writing while f ...more
