I heard about Ashley Titan's book from a friend and was instantly delighted by the idea of a kid's science-inspired book about bodily functions! The Rainbow Colors of Pee is a terrific combination of fabulous art and earthy science.

Theresa Marchant's art is lively and can't help but be a little funny given the subject matter, demonstrating Titan's frank yet age-appropriate explanations of the whys and hows of rainbow wee (to do with diet and health). They've even put a section at the end where

You can't walk past a book with this title. And why would you, when you can stop and read Ashley Titan's wee tome for kids about why their wee might be blue, why it might be green, why it changes colour, and what that can mean.

The artwork is wonderful, the book very short, and while its production values make it feel home-made, The Rainbow Colors of Pee will charm kids, maybe get them drawing (there are pages where your budding artist can draw their versions of the book's wonderful
