I love The Butterfly Series so much I bought 40 of them. I use them with my clients as they transform their lives. I give them to friends as a love letter to their spirit. I have given them to my sisters, my mom, and great-aunt as a thank you for encouraging my transformation and to encourage their own dreams. Maria Ramos-Chertock is a literary soul sister who is right there to guide us all to our next embodiment.
This is a great little companion that I have loved pulling out for inspiration and motivation to do that next bit of clearing work. The stories and anecdotes feel familiar and allow me to get deeply honest with myself in simple yet profound ways. It is a great gift that I have purchased for a few of my friends, too. It gives so much and only takes a few minutes for me to read, practice and enjoy.
I love how interactive this book is. I found it delightful to focus on the exercises and give myself the gift of time and intention. I love giving this book as a gift to loved ones who are going through transformations on any level. Sidenote.. it's beautiful to visualize the life stages of butterflies as you move through the practices.

“The Butterfly Series: 52 Weeks of Inquiries for Transformation” by Maria Ramos-Chertok is a workbook for those who are going through a transition in their lives. Often, we experience changes in our lives without a manual to guide us along as we go through each of our life journeys. The author provides readers with a clear guided manual – for change, for transitioning to the next life stage, or the next phase in the context of our career, love life, family life or just a better life. She does this by encouraging inward exploration through questions.
According to Ramos-Chertok, each question should be visited for a week, so even though this is a short book, it should not be read in one sitting unless you do what I did…I read it all the way through and then went back and started following the process. I did this because I needed to get a full view of the book for review purposes, but in all honesty, I am glad I did it this way as I am now in no rush to finish and am able to concentrate on and dedicate time to each question week by week, without feeling the urge to look ahead.
The author’s approach to focus on each part of the process through the butterfly’s metamorphosis lens is groundbreaking. The way she interprets each phase and compares to our transition process is not only creative…it also seems to work! The format chosen to publish this guide is very easy to read and follow. Simple language, short sentences, paragraphs and pages; yet a ton of significant information applicable to the reader’s personal change, needs and context. Overall, it is very well written.
I am definitely a fan of this little book and will not only finish the process it started me on, I recommend, “The Butterfly Series” by Maria Ramos-Chertok as a must-read to anyone at a crossroads in life or any stage of transition, as well as anyone looking to take a little journey within. A 5-Star-Must-Read!
I love this book. In fact, I'm supposed to return it to a friend, but that isn't happening...just yet. I am a writer myself and so I'm frequently writing in a journal. During the last couple of years of this dreadful pandemic I've found myself searching for "prompts" - shreds of inspiration to propel me into unburdening myself on paper. There have been many opportunities for this kind of writing, but too little inspiration. That's when I open The Butterfly Series and on any page I find myself effortlessly connecting with Maria's advice and her honest, moving pieces of memoir. I can no longer be without this book.
