About the author

Heath Stallcup was born in Salinas, California and relocated to Tupelo, Oklahoma in his tween years. He joined the US Navy and was stationed in Charleston, SC and Bangor, WA shortly after junior college. After his second tour he attended East Central University where he obtained BS degrees in Biology and Chemistry. He then served ten years with the State of Oklahoma as a Compliance and Enforcement Officer while moonlighting nights and weekends with his local Sheriff’s Office. He still lives in the small township of Tupelo, Oklahoma with his wife and three of his seven children. He steals time to write between household duties, going to ballgames, being a grandfather and the pet of numerous animals that have taken over his home. Outstanding

Caldera is one of the best apocalyptic fiction series I've read. As someone who loves the genre, it's a great read - great characters, interesting twists, nice blend of humor, horror and heartfelt moments. Kudos to Heath. Can't wait for 7 but will be sad to finish the series (I only hope Simon comes to a REALLY bad end, lol).

fabulous storytelling

What a read!!! The author does it again with this amazing read. I can’t wait to find out what happens in the next book. What happened with Patricia and Trevor? I’m seriously rooting for Trevor and patty. Will hatch pull another one out his hat? Will our trusty scientists get lucky? Ahhh I can’t wait to find out!!!

Love this series!

I am so loving the twists added in this one! And poor little Patty! I'm so exited to see what happens with her!! I was so caught up I didn't realize I had reached the end!
