It’s kind of a given at this point that I will love any new book Tawna Fanske writes. After all, I’ve loved every one she’s written so far. And “Hottie Lumberjack” is no exception. The story, set in and around her fictional Ponderosa Luxury Spa Resort in Oregon, centers on Mark Bracelyn, part owner of the resort with his step-siblings, and Chelsea Singer, a single mother who owns and runs a local bakery.

Sooooo good!

Hottie Lumberjack by Tawna Fenske is the 4th book in the Ponderosa Resort Series. Although this is part of the series and previous book’s characters are included, this is a stand alone as Tawna is able to remind readers who is who, and some of what happened between characters previously.

I love the family community of The Ponderosa siblings. Mark Bracelyn is the son of the Bracelyn patriarch although his mother never married. Mark feels separate from the other Bracelyn children both

Tawna Fenske takes us back to the lodge in Hottie Lumberjack, book 4 in her Ponderosa Resort series to acquaint ourselves to the most reserved of the Bracelyn siblings, Mark. When his match making sister Bree sends him to the local bakery to order cupcakes, Chelsea, the owner of the shop is taken aback by his large stature, but almost immediately finds herself much more interested in the man behind the burly exterior. And Mark is immediately enamored of both Chelsea and her daughter.

From the get-go, this book had me hooked. This author's new to me, but I already downloaded the free book you get at the end. She has such an easy flow to her writing. The humor and sweetness of the characters all trying to find their place in this newly grown adult family is a hoot.
She gives each character their time to share yet, she blends all these personalities through love, humor, and unity to make it all work. These adult children of the late Cort Bracelyn may not have had the same moth

It has been awhile since I have laughed this hard while reading. This book was amazing!! I loved everything about it. I loved both Mark and Chelsea together and apart.

Chelsea was such an amazing mom and friend. She had a lot going on in her life but she didn't let that stop her. She was a single mom who put her daughter before herself but welcomed the protection that Mark offered. She was caring and funny.

Mark was such a fun character to read about. He was this quiet, gruff man who didn't deal

They are both good with their hands but in different ways. He works with wood and she is a baker. When Mark and Chelsea meet sweet happenings take over. They are both keeping secrets but Chelsea's could be detrimental to her. When someone continues to vandalize her home and work place, Mark takes it upon himself to protect her. This story is definitely sweetened by ulterior motives and Mark wants to get to the heart of them. This sugary sweet story will draw you in and have you bouncing all over ...more

This author is new to me. I was pleasantly surprised by the writing style. I loved the cheesy light-hearted air about it. The story was sweet and low-ansgst...which is what I needed after a hard week. Shit, it's only Wednesday. Anyway, this is well written fluffy goodness. My only complaint is the H was hung up too long on his lack of worthiness.

This was a quick read. Honestly it felt more like a novella than a full length novel. The twists were obvious and the characters relatively one dimensional. I know it's labeled as a standalone but reading the prior books definitely helps with the side characters background info. And actually "secrets" side characters had kept were referenced more than once without explaining what the secret was, so that was annoying.

Not great, not terrible.

I voluntarily reviewed an early copy of this book :) this is the third or fourth book in this series, depending on how you count the first novella-ish one ;) either way, all of them can be read as standalones, so worry not, you can start whenever and then go back and promptly read the rest of them, because the same cast of characters appear in all of them, so no matter which one you're reading, you will be curious about all the rest of them... and that includes the books that are not yet written ...more
A romance told through two first person narrators. Our heroine Chelsea is a strong-willed single mother raising young Libby, a prototypical plot moppet. Our hero is Mark, not a real lumberjack but he looks at him. These two look at each other and sparks fly immediately. Or so they tell us. The attraction is instant between these two – so instant that it doesn’t seem real. Mark falls for Chelsea because she, um sets boundaries for her child? Acts like a mother should? Boy he has low expectations. ...more

Ms. Fenske's books are all examples of rom-com at its finest... and they usually contain a good hearty helping of heat, to boot. Like her other books, this one includes great characters, lots of humor, and both heart-warming, as well as sizzling, scenes.

Who could ask for anything more?

Um, I could. I'm ready for the next book in this series, please.

This was a very enjoyable story. I liked both Chelsea and Mark and was glad they were able to work past their issues and come together in the end.

Chelsea a baker and the owner of a cupcake bakery. Chelsea is also a single mother of a 6 year old daughter, Libby. Libby's father isn't in the picture and doesn't even know she exists. Chelsea is a good mother and focuses on her daughter and her business so she doesn't have time to date much.

This book is another story in the Ponderosa Resort series. I love this series!
We were introduced to Mark Bracelyn in the last book. This is his story.
We also get to know Chelsea Singer the owner of the Dew Drop Cupcakes who is also a single Mom to a little girl, Libby.
The chapter begins with some humor when a retired schoolteacher picking up some cupcakes and loudly reminding Chelsea that the cupcakes were for a bachelorette party and wanted to sure she didn’t forget the “penises”, while Mark

We return to the Ponderosa Resort and get to find out why Mark Bracelyn is such a grumpy bear of a man.

Meet Mark Bracelyn, brother to all the multitudes of Bracelyn children that are running the Ponderosa Resort. Mark is a large man, very large man and tends to carry around his axe and have a permanent scowl on his bearded face, that is until he walks into Chelsea's cupcake shop to get some sweet treats for his sister Bree. Hottie Lumberjack by Tawna Fenske (Ponderosa Resort Romantic Comedies Book 4)

I loved this book! I loved reading about Mark’s history and his struggle to remain unattached and uninvolved into his family and Chelsea. Despite this serious undertone of him struggling to cope about the meaning of family, this book is witty and funny and extremely hot. Who doesn’t love a big friendly and hot-as-sin giant who loves cupcakes and a woman who loves to bake them in all sorts and in spades.

The opening scene (meet cute) in this book is enough to make a gal laugh out loud and swoon a bit all at the same time. The immediate chemistry between Chelsea & Mark was so much fun to read, I almost didn’t want it to end.

I have had the benefit of reading the other books in the Ponderosa Resort Romantic Comedy Series, so I had been building some anticipation as to how Mark’s story would play out. He’s an eternal stoic, limited talking kind of guy who manages to find the perfect gal to bring hi

OH MY GOSH!!! You can ALWAYS count on the hilarious Author Tawna Fenske if you want a good Rom-Com!

Hottie Lumberjack, AKA Paul Bunyan, AKA…Mark Bracelyn, meets Chelsea Singer, single mom to Libby, and owner of Dew Drop Cupcakes in this 4th book of the Ponderosa Resort series.

Mark is a grumpy, bitter, wants-to-keep-to-himself kinda guy. Everyone else seems to think he just needs to try a real relationship. ;) Chelsea is getting threats about her “secret”. Will they be compatible? Or should they

Chelsea is an awesome single mom who has found her calling in baking. She makes the most decadent of deserts and has caught the eye of a handsome man (Marc) who enjoys her deserts as much as he does her body. But she thinks he’s holding something back and with her already having to deal with somebody vandalizing her work and home, she has more than enough to deal with.
Marc has never felt that he belongs with his half-siblings. He’s used to being alone and is still getting used to not

Such a fabulous book! Mark was definitely a Hottie Lumberjack! I loved Chelsea with Mark, she was perfect for him. Chelsea was a single mom to Libby who was the cutest thing and both Chelsea and Libby were taken with Mark. There was an instant attraction between Mark and Chelsea and it all happened over sweets- her making them and him with his sweet tooth. Mark was a quiet guy and when he spoke he got right to the point and Chelsea was able to get him to slowly open up. Chelsea was having issues ...more

If the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, the way into my pants is through a man's sweet tooth.

Ah, what a delicious, delightful, delectable read! I loved Hottie Lumberjack, and Mark, Chelsea and Libby. This book is the kind of romance that makes me LOVE romance. It's funny and cute, likable and fun, sexy and engaging. There's a single mom, a giant teddy bear of a man (who isn't sure if he's allowed to think swear words around kids), and a sweet little girl who can incite random singal

Another Funny Fenske romance!
Mark is a big burly dude who never quite feels at home with his prep school raised half siblings. They’re working together to build a gorgeous, sought after resort out in total countryside.
Chelsea is a single mom trying to do it all and alone. But one look at Mark and she’d rather be doing it with him! They’re the perfect yin and yang but will they let a little thing like “life secrets” keep them apart?

As soon as that tall, tantalizing tower of testosterone showed his sweet and mushy center in scene 1, I knew I’d found my newest book boyfriend. Actually, that’s not totally accurate, because Mark Bracelyn has intrigued me from his first appearance in the Ponderosa Resort series. While the rest of his family is sleek, he’s very rough around the edges and pretty taciturn...until he meets Chelsea.

Oh yes, this was hot and so much more! The Bracelyn’s are back and Mark shone as the gruff and sweet-obsessed ‘lumberjack’ aka jack of all trades at his sibling-owned resort. Chelsea was his perfect match with her creative baking and sweet nature. She was a great mom and a better friend as he slowly, slowly, realized he could have it all…

This is the third in the Ponderosa Resort series centering around the Bracelyn siblings. Cort Bracelyn liked spreading his love, and this resulted in numerous children from various baby-mommas. Luckily he was extremely wealthy and left his children very wealthy after his death. They have decided to work together and start the Ponderosa Resort. Mark Bracelyn is six five, muscled, has a huge sweet tooth and is nothing like his siblings. His sister Bree plays Cupid by sending Mark to her friend Che ...more

Chelsea and Mark’s chemistry is hot enough it could burn up the pages of your Kindle like cupcakes forgotten in the oven!
