The second book of a series. But it's totally okay as a standalone too. I loved everything about it.

If you want to start reading fantasy/adventure/action books that are easy to read and follow, I would recommend you to start with this one.
Solomon, the protagonist of this book, is the son of the genie Khalil and human Daisy. So, he is a half-human character who possesses special powers. The book is entirely revolving around him and his encounters with bad genies.
The book starts off where Once upon a Genie ended. It is a sequel which has an eerie setting of an unheard land with equally strange occupants which is the NEVER FOUND LAND. Solomon has to fight against the enemies of his clan to protect the earth. He has to get the land rid of negative energies for the people to survive and thrive merrily. In this process, he comes across several bewildering truths related to his birth and existence. Darren, the non-biological father of Solomon, is my favorite character. The selflessness he displays in supporting his best-friend Daisy and her child with the genie Khalil is praiseworthy.
The book is composed of beautiful words which have been woven to produce an amazing narrative. I loved how the language has been put to use. The plotline itself is magical with strange characters such as fortune tellers, talking tree, Ghuls, etc. In fact, you look at the cover of the book and gosh! you would be smitten by wits splendor. It is totally wonderful. What disappointed me was the pace of the story. Initially, there was a lot of chaos. In the flick of the moment, the settings and the actions of the characters were changing. My brain had to take its own time to adjust to the flow of the book. Solomon grew up quickly and suddenly, he was attending University and then he is protecting his father’s kingdom. I got distracted and caught in the reading slump where the topic of emotional scenario comes into the picture. For example, when Darren is abducted and Solomon consoles his mother, when Solomon meets his father Khalil, etc. Those scenes could have been described in a more refined manner. In all, the book is captivating for its imagination quotient but fails to engage the reader with a loose narration. I do see a great potential in the polished version of this book given its amazing language.
For those of you, who wish to indulge in some light imaginative reading with supernatural characters, go for this book!
Name- Neverfound Land Written By- Durriya Kapasi Published By- Half Baked Beans Pages- 169 Ratings- 4🌟 Review- A tale of genies and a land full of wonder and magic. The story will take you to a ride of an emotional roller coaster and also some action packed sequences. This is a sequel to Once Upon a Genie that explores the love story between Daisy, a human and a genie, Khalil. As impossible as it sounds not only were they in love but also Daisy was about to give birth to Khalil's son. This book explores the journey of Daisy and Khalil's son Solomon, who is a hybrid between a genie and human. Solomon never knew his real father and considered Darren, Daisy's best friend and husband as his real father. Hell breaks loose when Solomon comes face to face with his real identity and Darren gets kidnapped by bad genies. I loved the characterization of the book where every character was detailed and even the plot was unique and mesmerising and not to forget refreshing. The author has done a really great job with this book and I think she might decide to continue this series which will be pretty great. This book is a nearly perfect short fantasy and is definitely recommended as a weekend read.
I have prepared detailed review for this one. But I would like to mention few key features here to give some ideas!!
➡️ The story is sequel to book one “ Once upon a Genie “ but you can definitely read this independently. ➡️ Unique and amazing plot. ➡️While reading, I felt like I was traveling in a magical land. It’s wonderfully written. ➡️ Good use of vocabulary and language. ➡️ Page turner. ➡️ Holds your attention till the end. ➡️ And I just loved the cover !! It’s wonderfully designed I must say. ➡️ Definitely recommended!!
I love reading Fantasy genre and this book had my attention the moment it's cover was revealed. I absolutely loved the magical cover of the book * Neverfound Land * and also the book didn't disappoint me. It was a full on ride with magic and magical creatures.
The book is the sequel to the book * Once Upon A Genie * but it can be read as a standalone. The book focuses on the journey of Solomon- an enticing creature who is half human and half genie. As Solomon grew he observed that he was different from the rest of the humans and had magical powers which no one possessed . His parents didn't tell him about their pasts and kept everything secret from him, encouraging him to lead a normal life.
But during his trip to Egypt, he experienced something strange. He was kidnapped by genies and was questioned upon his father. After returning back to his home, he was fuming with anger and questioned his parents about their past. Upon knowing the truth, Solomon was calm but peace wasn't there in his life. Immediately after he came to know about the truth, his father Darren was kidnapped by the evil Genies- The Kuzukus.
He was hell bent on saving his father and was taken to the Neverfound land, where he met his biological father Khalil- The genie king. He got to know about the evil scheme of the Kuzukus and pledged to save his father and the genie kingdom from them. Will Solomon be able to save the genies and Darren?
Read the book to know the answer.
I am digging on this book and the magical story of genies. This book is amongst my favourite reads of 2018 now. I loved how the author narrated the story- in a smooth way. There is no dragging and the book kept me on the edge every time I finished a chapter. The characters are beautifully developed. I loved Solomon's character the most. Also the language is easy and understandable. Though I absolutely loved the book there were 2 things that pissed me off - The role of Mariya was not so significant ( I wanted to know more about her ) and the ending was a bit dull.
Overall I enjoyed reading the book and definitely recommend all the readers to read it.
If you thought Neverfound land is a direct sequel to Once upon a Genie with all the same characters you'll be disappointed. Even though Daisy, Darren and Khalil do have little parts to play the main hero of this book is the half Genie half human hybrid Solomon. He a youngster full of spunk, who faces all the obstacles thrown in his way with courage. The book is well written in simple English and has an engaging plot line. Personally I liked this book better than its predecessor. I really want to read more of Solomon's adventures and hope there will be a part three. I will recommend this book to all those looking for something in the fantasy/ adventure / mythology genre.
I loved the beautifully designed cover and wished I had the physical copy instead.
Anyways moving to the story, this book is the sequel to the book Once upon a genie (which I haven't read but I suggest you to read that before starting with this one). So, Neverfound Land is the story of Solomon, who happens to be the son of the genie Khalil and human Daisy. Because of being a half-human and half-genie he possesses special powers. The whole story revolves around Solomon fighting bad genies to protect the world and in between all this he starts questioning his whole existence.
The narration is pretty vivid which makes our imagination run free. Although the fast pacing didn't let the story develop as much as it could have. The pacing weakened the connection between me and the world the author created. Fantasy is one of those genres which need to be develop progressively so that we can get accustomed to the world, the reader should be given enough time to comprehend an event before the next twist comes. That's the only thing that made this book a little less enjoyable. It's like the author is giving us a lot of information all at once which gets overwhelming.
The characterization was done beautifully and I absolutely loved the concept.
If you're a fan of fantasy and are looking for a quick intriguing book, this might be the one.
This is the second book of the series of Once upon a Genie. This book will focus on Solomon, the son of the genie and the human girl. Till the age of 20 years, he considered Darren as his father. The world will fall apart for him when he will come to know that whom he considered his real father for so many years is actually his foster father. He has the responsibility to save his foster father who has been kidnapped and to save his father's kingdom and his legacy. Only after that the genie and the human girl will be able to unite.
Solomon is going to Egypt with his friends for archaeological studies. Solomon has inherited the looks of his father, that is, the same eye colour, the same hair quality, the same features and the same strong smell along with the two tiny twinkles in his pupil. He is 6 feet 5 inches tall and huge. He can escape his body in an invisible form. He is slowly and steadily discovering his genie powers. Daisy and Darren are worried about Solomon and his safety.
When Solomon is kidnapped by a fortune teller and told him that he is the son of a genie named Khalil, Solomon somehow escaped from there but he had a lot of questions in his mind. He left Egypt with the decision to confront his parents about his real identity. 🍁How will he digest the fact that he is the son of a genie and Darren is not his father? 🍁How will he save Darren from the Kuzukus? (Read the book to find out...) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- My Review- I enjoyed a lot starting from the delivery of the baby to the growing up and discovering his supernatural powers to the fight against the Kuzukus. I had a lot of expectation from this book as the earlier book was one of my best reads of the year and I am quite happy that this book did not let my expectations down. Looking forward to read some more works of the author. A must read for everyone.
The second book in the series, Neverfound Land revolves around the life of a Genie as a rightful heir.
Review 📖
I have always taken an interest in reading fantasies and getting lost in my own fantasy world. So when a chance came to review this e-book, I grabbed it. The cover design is so beautiful, awesome work whoever designed it, but I wouldn't say that I am a little disappointed cause the title and the story do not match completely. You keep wondering about the title all along.
Character development is one main aspect of the book and this is the first book where Genies are not used as a sidekick or prop but the main character. That definitely had my heart. ❤️
The story is slow paced and unfurls in a kind of wary way but as you reach the half of the book you get amazed into the world and can't leave the book for a second. That happened with me by the way🙈
Overall it is one decent read and I will recommend everyone to give it a try.

My Rating 4 ❤️ Published By @half_baked_beans Written By Durriya Kapsai ( @durriyakapsai ) Review By Amir Waseem (@walkwithamir) Thank You @reachout_to_richa
The protagonist Solomon is the son of a genie-Khalil and a woman named Daisy.Solomon considers Darren to be his biological father, who actually happens to be the best friend of his mother. Gradually, Solomon realises that he is no ordinary human and that he has special powers and he is kind of confused about it. And suddenly, one day some negative genies kidnap Darren. That is where the story takes a hit. Solomon is on a quest to find his biological father-whose kingdom is in a threat because of the bad genies(who are now his enemies) and also to rescue his foster father Darren. That is when Solomon steps into the Neverfound Land. Read and find out whom does Solomon save? And what happened to never found land then?
MY REVIEW
This is my first read on a plot like this, on a plot about genies. I must say you would dive into a magical journey reading this book. The little magical elements just add to the charm of the story. The language is super easy and the narration is so smooth that the book becomes a page-turner. The best part of the story for me was reading about how well of a father- Darren was to Solomon. I also adore Daisy as a character in the story. I loved how the characters were introduced and described. Though the story became a little predictable for me, I don’t see any flaw in it. I could not have asked more. I must say it’s a well researched and a book very well put up.
Please note- this book is a sequel to the book “Once upon a Genie”.However, reading this book independently brings you no problem in understanding the plot. I believe if I read the first book, the story would turn out even more beautiful. You must get your hands on this book and if you plan to do so please buy the first part also, to give the story it’s complete shape.
Neverfound Land is a perfect blend of love, magic, pain, hope, survival, hope , bravery , supernatural powers and so on……It is a story about a six feet long guy , Solomon or Suliman ; how his beautiful and peaceful life changes into dangerous life. The story is set in the world of humans and genie. The story talks about many supernatural powers and incidents. However , this book is the second book in the series but one can read it independently. The book is packed with twists and turns which hooked the readers to read it till the end.
The best thing I liked the way the author has described every small details in the plot which makes the book more interesting and mind-blowing. The main concept of the story is winning of goodness over evilness. The writing style of author is pretty amazing. She has explained very incident in a awesome manner. The Characters development is also amazing. The plot of the story is something which makes the story interesting and she has written it in a brilliant manner. The world created by Durriya Kapasi is awesome . Cover of the the book is amazing an every detail of the cover is based on the story. So,if you buy this book then you be able to understand my above statement. The language usage is easy of understand. Her work is a beautiful piece of writing.
I would love to recommend this book to all fantasy readers.
Book in one word : Beautiful
My Ratings : 4.5 / 5
Happy Reading !!!
Thank you publisher for providing me the book in exchange of an honest review.
Second edition of the genie saga by the author has been by far one of the impressive fiction book I have ever read. The book has given a perspective to the genie-human baby born to Daisy. The identity of Solomon, or Suleiman has been provided with an identity in the human world as well as the Genie world. The initial chapters have been quite smooth with the over-protective parents Darren and Daisy, protecting their extra-ordinary child. The characters have been very well-defined in the book by the author. The dramatic plot is one of the key essence of the novel. The end of the genie-human saga has been quite unpredictable, similar to the previous version of the genie story.
“Religion comes from the heart”
Solomon has played quite a vibrant character, who enjoys with his friends, loves his biological father as well as Darren, who enjoys being a part of the genie land, and respects the fact that genies have sacrificed alot from the humans. He has been one of the strongest characters definitely but Darren has also played a great role in shaping the story. The part one of the book showed Khalil as a strong man in Daisy’s life whereas this part featured Soli and Darren as the pillars of her life. Even though she missed Khalil but she knew there were his men around them to their son from evil around. The plot has been dragged a bit with the fight in Cairo, I believe. The story could have ended with the reunion of genie and human world. There are few instances which sound similar to the Game of Thrones as well. The part where Solomon has been provided with a pet Tanzanite… sounds quite similar to the wolf Ghost in GoT. However, I would say the author has done a commendable job with the minute detailing of characters and locations in the plot.

Book Title: Never Found Land Author: Durriya Kapasi Format: Paperback
Book Title: The title of the book ' Never Found Land ' is intriguing and attractive.
Book Cover: The cover image of the book is a beautiful fantasy style that gives a perfect mood for the reader.
Plot: Continued from the first part, in this part the readers meet Khalil and Daisy's half-genie - half-human son, Solomon. He is a man of undoubtedly great virtues and alluring personality. Solomon being the hero of the story has to contemplate his triumph over the enemies of the ' Never Found Land ' and restore peace. The fight and war against the enemies is the story about.
What I like: 1. The intersection of the first part's ending and the second part's beginning makes the sequel a hit. 2.The character of Darren. 3. Solomon's immeasurable love. 4. Amazing story writing 5. The story though reminds other fantasy stories like Aladdin or Prince of Persia, this book has man interesting subplots.
What I didn't like: 1. I felt that the author had to restrict herself with the page limit because of which at places the story looked that some details went missing. 2. Compared to the first part, ' Once upon a genie ', this part ' Never Found Land ' looked a little shallow to me. It could be due to the expectations I have set for myself. Other than that, the author's work is extremely good.
Characters: The characters in the story including the characters from the first book in the Genie series are very well scripted. The protagonist Solomon's character is very well drafted.
Narration: An engaging and smooth narration is found in this book. But at some places, I found the story was losing its pace. Comparatively the first book was much more interesting in terms of narration.
Language & Grammar: Very good language and vocabulary are used in the book.
My Final Verdict: An interesting one time read!
Book Title: 4/5 Book Cover: 4/5 Plot: 4/5 Characters: 4/5 Narration: 3/5 Language & Grammar: 4/5
Solomon, as a protagonist, grew up and out astonishingly. I liked how the author has worked with the most important part of his influence-able life. His traits are justified and it's your ideal genie heir produced. He's a better Khalil all along, I think.
Also, Darren fans out there would love this book the most. He's an ideal father and a husband. And Soli, the genie king! But he is real, he gets irritated, he lashes out, he makes bad decisions yet he is the smartest of the new gen and he plays hero in traumatic places.
While the alchemy of the king-to-be Solomon remains a confusion to my mind, I'm satisfied with the alleged war between the Ghuls and the Genies because who needs an ancient army now. And logic becomes Solomon's best friend when he is surrounded by bad guys. The folklore and research base is content.
The plot was the catch. For me, there were good twists, great humor, perfect introduction of characters into the story, beautiful depiction of mature relationships between the characters, above all— acceptance; and, courageous and simplistic people. It's more than just a fantasy.
On the downside, I hated how the characters had a monotonous reaction to every problematic situation (From trouble to tragedy and sometimes a general moment), that was crying. I'd love a little less reaction maybe. Also, I felt that some scenes were too plot centric, to be not explained. I love more words.
Apart from everything, the quintessence of friendship truly is Pete and he has been my favorite character all along. And the visits to Egypt were a bonus!
You need to read this after Once Upon A Genie and if you love some fantasy and a new storyline.
Reading fantasy novel is always fun for me. it takes you to the journey of another world. "Neverfound Land by Durriya Kapasi" is the sequel of "Once Upon A Genie" published in the year of 2017 the book starts exactly where the story of Once Upon A Genie was ended. so if you have read Once Upon A Genie by Durriya Kapasi you will definitely enjoy the journey of Solomon who is hybrid with the magical power of genie and sentiments of a human. being a son of genie Khalil and human Daisy. he got a magical power from Khalil and human sentiments from Daisy. but he was unaware of his hidden magical powers. His life gets totally changed when his foster father is kidnapped, and from that situation, the magical journey with lots of adventure gets started. Will Solomon step into the land of Genies to save his loved oned? this question will remain unanswered till you pick this wonderful book. You will imagine each and every scene from this book like you are watching a film. The characterization presents in the book is the best part every character is unique. if you are a reader of fantasy novels then you should read this book you will surely enjoy it. but I would suggest you to start with Once Upon A Genie by Durriya Kapasi and then come to this book so you will enjoy more. I am much impressed with the cover of this book beautifully designed by Stefanie Saw.
NEVERFOUND LAND REVIEW. • Neverfound Land is a heartwarming tale of a young man taking control of his destiny. Soloman always wanted to live a normal life, but his life turned adventurous when he discovered👨🏻💻about his supernatural powers and his biological father👱🏻♂ “ Khalil ” who is a genie 🧞♂. Soloman has to step up into the “Neverfound Land “ to protect his father👱🏻♂” Darren “, and mother 👱🏻♀” Daisy “ and his biological father👱🏻♂ “ Khalil ” legacy.
WHAT’S FUN ABOUT THE BOOK 📖 : This book 📖 is a gem 💎. • The story is so engulfing , no matter if you’ve read the first part or not. This book will change your perspective of genie world and will let you experience a new world. It is good light read written by Durriya Kapasi, the author of its pre sequel Once upon a genie. #bookreview #durriyakapasi
MY SUMMARY: This book is a sequel of 'Once Upon A Genie' in which Solomen, son of main characters of Book 1 is the main lead. . Solomen is a genie and human hybrid who lived his life between normal humans, like normal humans but slowly discovered his supernatural powers. . Along with this, he discovered that he is not meant to live a ordinary life. Instead, he was born for something very challenging that if he neglect it, it may ultimately lead to the end of this world. He was born to unite the world of humans and genies. . MY REVIEW: 👼The story travelled from life of an ordinary boy with imbalanced supernatural powers to becoming a super human or genie in this case, that always interests me. So, though idea was not new to me, I found the story very interesting. . 👼Story was moving fast from past to present, humans to genie world and the way authoress has narrated the story using narration from different characters and giving clear headings proved really helpful to me. . 👼This book is full of life lessons and spirituality that made me feel positive and encouraged me to fight for good. . 👼I loved the part where authoress has described the activities of baby Solomen. They were super cute. . 👼The whole book was well paced but last 20-30 pages were faster than rest of the book and that gave me a feeling of incompleteness. I didn't like the way it ended. It should be a bit of stable (for me). . 👼 Language was moderately easy.
“Why these powerless, innocent humans against the worst of all demons?” What if one day you suddenly realise you do not belong to the human race? Indeed something we would never ever think of, but “Neverfound Land” gives us an insight into how it would be like. The struggle and the redundant life follows itself to magic is what one must look for. The story of Solomon, who is a half genie and a half human, which the author calls the human hybrid is blessed with certain powers. Solomon discovers his truth, the truth of his race after long 20 years, till then he definitely knows something is weird and not natural with him. And after the realisation dawns, the life is an adventure. However, the life is at stake when his foster father is kidnapped. It is his quest for using the powers and saving his beloved. What catches your attention is the last sentence of the book, “I see them, MashaAllah!” It has that impact on you where you can feel that the author must have cried in happiness at the climax. The author has used a various magical situations and the phrases yet, somehow it has that disconnect with the reader in some chapters when the reader just wants to head towards the climax. The short and engrossing book is a must read for the Christmas vacation. For those who love fiction and magic, it is definitely a must read.

Welcome to the fantasy world of human hybrid and genie !
A dream and goal to bring Human and Geniies on same land..
Neverfound land is a fiction written by Durriya Kapasi about the human hybrid and genie whose name is Solomon, his biological father was a genie because her mother fell in love with a genie. But they don't stay together. Solomon grows on this earth and discovers about his supernatural powers after 20 years and he feels unsettled about his power. Suddenly his life turned into a life of warrior full of adventurous and responsibilities after his foster father got abducted by the negative energies and his father's heritage, his kingdom is under threat.
The writer has gone into the depths of genie world, Egypt, Cario as if she stayed there, great research work. It's not layman language but easy and fun to read. From grammar to vocab, everything seems beautiful. In between the lines, there are some great messages given through the characters, as if they are written to motivate the readers, directly connects to the people's heart.. Only at last I felt it's getting bored and elaborated but again that battle took my heart away..
So what are you waiting for? Go and grab your copy on Amazon, link is mentioned below, find our what happens when Solomon gets on the battlefield? Will genie and humans ever be able to unite ?
I like blue. Give me blue or its shades anytime and I am happy. When I saw this cover, after gleefully opening the parcel, my heart soared. What a royal color! What a lovely cover! If I could, I would give 5/5 for the cover alone.
Plot:
Durriya’s novel Neverfoundland is a sequel to her earlier offering, Once Upon a Genie. Click the link to read my review on her previous book.
This story is about Solomon, Daisy and Khalil’s human-genie hybrid son. It is about a son’s quest to discover his true purpose in life. The story tells you how Solomon finds out and how he reacts to his true self.
There are portions in this book which are beyond wonderful. As earlier, I am totally stumped at the research Durriya has done to write her book. Amazing detailing and terrific characterization. I loved the way the ‘drifting’ portions are written. The fights scenes are very well-written too. I could even visualize the Ghuls in my mind, the way Durriya has written about them.
I like the way the plot takes you through the ups and downs in Solomon’s life. This is a good read, especially if you like to read fantasy fiction.

Do you love Magic and Genies.. If yes..Look no further! To start with, I just fell in love with the Book Cover as soon as it was released. It is so beautifully designed. It screams magic and an Arabic style! Very beautiful! :)The protagonist of the story is Solomon, who is a human and Genie hybrid. Story starts with him discovering his powers and realizing that he is different and much more powerful form the other kids of his age. Story continues with how Solomon becomes desperate to know about his Biological father and his kingdom and all the secrets behind his life. The adventure begins when his foster father Darren was kidnapped and the kingdom of his Genie father was threatened. Will Solomon support both or will he only save his foster father. The writing style of the author is simple yet engaging. It is not a very fat book and an easy fun read. You can complete the book in few days very easily, even if you are not a very fast reader. The main beauty of the book is its simplicity yet an interesting story.I found the first half of the book much better and interesting than the second half of the book. I had read the prequel and I can certainly say that sequel is worth the wait. There were a lot of uncleared things in the previous book which I feel are now explained very well. I wish there was more content to read although as the whole ideas of Genies and magic is exciting to read. Most of us have read about Aladin and his magic lamp but this story takes us on some new unseen world of genies. It is a totally and unique plot. The writing and narration was really good and the plot was really well worked upon. Totally enjoyed reading it as I finished it within a day. Only regret being wish there were more chapters to read. I felt this could've another book in the series like a triology instead of duology. The plot had so much depth into it that I felt there could've been possibly more stuff to write and create the genie world. But in a gist if you are a fantasy lover and wanna grab a unique plot, this book is totally worth going for it.
