The Battle for the Mind: How You Can Think the Thoughts of God

Rate this book
"Whoever or whatever controls your mind, controls you." The Battle for the Mind takes a serious look at the constant raging war in your mind between powerful opposing forces. Are you willingly aiding and abetting the enemy through self-condemnation? Or are you renewing your mind through the Holy Spirit? And be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Romans 12:2). Authors Noel Jones and Georgianna Land present clear and deep revelation about "overhauling your mind" to accept victory. Their theological and philosophical views provide insight into the enemy's tactics. They share vital Scripture and biblical principles to protect your mind from assaults-powerful attacks meant to pervert and enslave you. The Battle for the Mind explores the mind of Christ Jesus, the Spirit of God, and the power of praise to conquer the enemy and win the battle!

This was truly a remarkable book if you desire to have mind renewal. Every once in a while I'll buy a book that deals with the mind because I believe that in order to change your circumstances, it starts with changing your mind. So would I recommend this book to anyone.....absolutely yes, especially if you desire to change your way of thinking and understand your mind.

Written by Bishop Noel Jones with Dr. Georgianna Land, The Battle for the Mind takes a serous look at the constant war raging in your mind between powerful opposing forces.

Are you a willing vessel holding onto the enemy through self-condemnation and deeper guilt? Or are you renewing your mind daily through the Holy Spirit?

Jones writes, “It is critical for us to recognize that the flesh and the Spirit are in constant conflict because the mind of sinful flesh sets its desires against the mind of the Spirit. thus, the mind becomes the battle field of: 1) Grace against law. 2) God against satan. 3) Revelation against situation 4) Spirit against flesh. 5) Word against the world.” (pages 34-35)

In Chapter 9 he writes, “God does not work through conformity. He is looking for evidence of real transformation—transformation that takes place only through the renewing of the mind.” (page 95)

The Battle for the Mind takes you on an exploration of the mind of Christ, the Spirit of God and the power of praise to conquer the enemy and win the battle! Never have I read such a well written and informative book.

This book has many tools for self-discovery and strategical maneuvers by which to implement effective spiritual warfare. The Battle for the Mind would be a welcome addition to anyone’s library Christian or not. You can also purchase an expanded edition of this same version at abebook.com.

I enjoy intensive bible studies and Noel Jones delivers this perfectly. The mind remains a bridge between the spirit and the body, a sector they both need to agree with before anything can materialize. He scripturally maps this mystery so well such that its easy to put the concepts into application.

Noel Jones has done it again. This book was masterfully written and it teaches how to be successful one in your mind and in your spirit . In many ways Noel Jones is just taking his actions and placing them on the page. As a person who knows him personally, I can say that.
