It is ok

It started off very interesting. However, about midway it began to seem like it was rambling and it made it difficult to continue reading it.

I read this little gem of a book back in 1995 not long after its release, when I was 26 years-old, newly married, and living in a city for the first time. It just happened to catch my eye as I browsed through a bookstore, and as I read it I could feel myself settling more and more readily into its space. Reading this book solidified my sense that it was ok to search for something other than what has been generally presented as truth or faith or belief, even though doubt is your ever constant companion. There is room for it all, and this book helped me become comfortable with the practice of gently holding conflicting and contradictory thoughts as I sought to make both peace and meaning from my new, thoroughly grown-up experiences.
