This is another book purchased for its price without regard to its content.

The author, Jean Mark Gawron, is in fact an academic in computational linguistics who has worked for SRI but has long dabbled in science fiction. He is considered an expert on Samuel Delany, one of the genre's great stylists, and his novel Dahlgren.
