The Cowboy's Redeeming Love

Rate this book
Is love forgiving? A heart-warming retelling of the story of persistent Hosea and promiscuous Gomer.
Morgan Sutter, the oldest of three brothers, is headed West to meet his long-lost uncle on his cattle ranch. Morgan is hoping to start a new life, to settle down, and begin a family. What he doesn’t expect is a beaten-up runaway of a woman to stumble upon his camp! Morgan and his brothers resolve to help her in any way they can.

The woman is Brianna Tompkins, an ex-high society woman from the East, who has never faced such adversity before. She grew up privileged with servants to cater to her every whim, but now she is faced with destitution unless she agrees to marry the cruel and lecherous Mr. Percy Smythe. When she meets Morgan, everything changes and she begins to have hope for a future filled with love instead.

But ranch life isn’t everything she imagines and Brianna finds herself struggling. With no one around who understands the riches she was used to, Brianna feels guilty and terribly alone. Though she tries her hardest, Brianna finds herself too delicate in many ways to handle the rough and exhausting life of a pioneer woman. Until, love provides her with the motivation she was lacking.

Wedded bliss leads to an unexpected pregnancy and Brianna finds herself facing her toughest challenges yet. Motherhood, wifely duties, and pioneer life are a heavier burden to bear than she feels like she can manage at times—even with Morgan’s help.

And then a series of misunderstandings takes Brianna away from the ranch and Morgan, without hope but to…

"Once upon a time..."
...my best childhood nights had started with this wonderful phrase!

Ever since I can remember, I loved a good story!

All started thanks to my beloved grandfather! He used to read to my sister and me, stories of mighty princes and horrifying dragons! Even now, sometimes I miss those cold winters in front of the fireplace in my hometown, Texas!

My best stories though were the ones from the Bible! Such is the spiritual connection that a cozy warm pass through my body every time I hear a biblical story!

My childhood memories were not all roses, but I always knew that the strongest shelter would be always there for me! It was Him!

Years passed by, and little-Chloe grown up reading all kind of stories! It was no surprise that I had this urge to write my own stories, and share them with the word!

If I have a God's purpose on Earth, I think it is to spread His love and wisdom, through my stories!

Brianna is a beautiful young woman, who accepts help from Percy Smyth. After her father passes away, she realizes why Percy was so nice to her. He wants her to be his woman, and what Percy wants, Percy gets, whether others agree or not. When Brianna refuses to marry Percy, he has Charlie, this head bench man, beat Brianna up. She is then moved to the town boarding house or brothal, where the other women resent her. After a few days, Percy shows up asking if Brianna has changed her mind. She agrees to what he wants only to buy time so she can escape. Later that night she slips out of Perry's house. She wonders in the woods until she sees a campfire belonging to Mogan Sutter, and his brothers Spencer and Riley, who were on there way to their uncle's ranch, and had stopped for the night. Brianna curls up by the fire and goes to sleep. Later Morgan wakes her up. When he realizes she is hurt, he takes her with him and his brothers to their uncle's place. After she recovers, she tells Morgan what happened to her, and they give her refuge. Morgan and Brianna fall in love. They get married, and a six weeks later Brianna realizes she is pregnant, and delivers twins. Percy is still after Brianna. He tricks her, and when she shows up at his house, she finds herself prisoner again.

Will Morgan find Brianna in time? Will their love get them through? Will Brianna ever be able to escape from Percy's clutches again?

I loved this story. However I was very disappointed in the extended epilogue. I was hoping for more on Morgan and Brianna. I thought I was reading the beginning of another story. For this I took one star. I wish there had been more talk of God in this book, like in her last book. In this one God is rarely mentioned. The book is clean and suitable for all ages.

I was given a copy of this book and this is my true and honest opinion.

You have lost one parent , one is sick. You are trying to hang on to what you have left and reach out to get help. Not knowing you are selling yourself to the devil himself. When Brianna realizes what she has gotten herself into she has to escape Percy. Unknown to her there is a family moving her direction to join a relative and restart their life. Morgan, Spencer, and Riley . They have stopped to help an aunt after her husband passes away. Their parents ask them to go ahead to their Uncle Otis's ranch without them and they will join later.
While almost to their Uncles ranch they stop to rest for the night. Morgan is awakened by a noise near by. He finds Brianna brings her by the fire , where she falls right to sleep. She has managed to make it a good bit away from Percy's town. When she awakens she finds herself in the company of Morgan and his brothers. She doesn't trust anyone right now and is not willing to give any information on herself. The brothers decide it is best to take her with them. They realize she has several injuries. When they make it to the Otis's ranch Marjorie a ranch hands wife helps her get cleaned up. Feeling safe she finally is able to tell them what happened. She and Morgan fall for each other and marry. Percy is still looking to make her his. His right hand man Charlie is making trouble for Morgan's family. Brianna sneaks away to try and reason with him and finds herself in a bad situation. She has to lie to her husband to keep him safe. He is finally convinced she did this to protect him. They are able to get Brianna back safe and sound back to her family. This book is reminds me to trust and have faith all will end the way it should. Thank you Chloe for a great read. Look forward to reading more of you material . This book was given to me as a ARC for my honest review.

ONE ENTICING DELIGHT!!!
Wow! Man, talk about hard hitting. This is one exciting, action packed, heart pounding pulse racing, smooth flowing, page turning tale that grabs your attention and holds it til the last word. All the drama, uncertainty, cruelty, fear and suspense increases steadily as the tension spirals while the plot thickens. You can't help but fall in love with the main characters as they trudge through trying to find each other. The characters are complex, believable with such depth and individuality they struggle. The characters and scenes are written with such realism it really pulls this bad boy together beautifully. The scenes are so graphically detailed and descriptive it's easy to picture each scenario as they play off one another in perfect balance. All the twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few unexpected surprises around every corner make for remarkable experience. Chloe did an incredible job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Fantastic job Chloe, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.

I really enjoyed this book very much. I like this Author and the books she writes. This book was especially enjoyable because of the twists and turns that the storyline took. I enjoyed all of the characters in this book. They were very well developed. I enjoyed the main characters Brianna and Morgan; but I enjoyed all of the other characters too. I hope there are forth coming books that will flesh out the stories of the other characters in this book. I like that this author’ books are clean reads and this one is no exception. Also I like how God and faith play a part in her characters’ lives without being preachy. I like too how the characters are multidimensional. For example Brianna at some points comes off as spoiled and pampered. But at other times is stronger than she realizes. She often sees herself as a failure; but is actually more successful than she realizes. Also, both Morgan and Brianna recognize that their biggest problem is effectively communicating with one another. And, isn’t that the biggest problem in most relationships?

Evil Percy, naive teenager and the good Samaritans

Morgan, Spencer, and Riley Sutter leave their parents in Missouri to help their Aunt and head out to California to help their Uncle Otis Sutter on his ranch. They stop in Percy's Crossing in California but things seem off to the three brothers and they decide to get on their way out of town, deciding to camp out a few miles out.
Brianna Tompkins, first lost her mother due to an accident on their trip to California and then her father from an illness when they get to Percy's Crossing. Being naive, she takes Percy's invitation to move into his home at face value until she's made aware of his marriage plans and finds that he won't accept a negative answer. He has his henchmen beat her and take her to the "boarding house" . When she later gets the chance to escape, she walks until she comes onto the campsite of the Sutter brothers.

Money Does Not Buy Happiness

Morgan and his brothers are traveling to their Uncle's ranch to work for him. On the last night prior to arrival while the brothers sleep, Morgan notices a woman stagger from the bushes, where she is hiding, to the fire; lays down to get warm; falls asleep. She is badly injured and on foot. They take her to Uncle Otis' with them. Everyone on the ranch helps her heal and helps her escape from the wicked Percy Smythe. This is an adventure in finding true love while fighting evil intentions of wicked men. I enjoyed the story. Many twists and turns.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily providing my honest review. Brianna has been sheltered he entire life and doesn't have a clue when the richest man in town pays all her debts and moves her and her ill father into his mansion. He shows his true colors after her father dies and she realizes she must get away somehow. But, does she ever get a clue? What a great clean read. I love historical romances and this fits the bill. I totally recommend this book. You will have a hard time putting it down once you start reading.

Such a beautiful story! I feel in love with these character, especially the whole Sutters clan. I caught myself wishing that my family lived on such a ranch. Parts of the story had my emotions going with anger but then I reminded myself it was a story. The author does such a great job of pulling the reader into the story. This is a beautiful story of Gods love and forgiveness. This book was beautifully written, you won’t be able to put it down!

Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

This is an interesting book. Brianna is very naive and when she arrives in Percy’s Crossing she doesn’t consider the price she will have to pay to repay Percy for his help. She is also very strong and finds Morgan and his brothers as she is escaping from Percy. The story is mostly about her difficulties becoming a pioneer woman and the challenges she faces adjusting from her life as a rich girl from the city. The story seemed to drag in some places but overall I enjoyed reading this book.

Chloe Carley has done it again with her new stand alone book “The cowboys redeeming love”. Chloe Carley knows how to write characters who pull at your heart. Brianna has to overcome hardships with the lose of both of her parents. As well as tackling and learning how to become a pioneer woman. But through it all she becomes stronger and with the help of God and those she loves, she is forgiven, she is blessed.

I received a free ARC, digital copy, for my honest review.

I enjoyed this story, especially as the main characters grew in maturity and their love for one another. A wealthy society girl becoming a pioneer woman? Only the love of God and the patience and love of her family members make it possible. I also enjoyed the love and support of the family dynamics. I suspect there will be other books in this series of the Sutter brothers. I can't wait!

3 1/2 stars not quite four but more than 3

I believe the author of her publisher should indicate which book to read first. Overall the book was good except the Extended Epilogue is if no use to me. See I rely on my kindle to read to me, there is no way to do that with the Extended Epilogue.

A enjoyable read, although there was some violence in the book, overall it was a very good and clean read. The characters in the book were well written with just enough drama in the storyline to keep the book moving and interesting. Would certainly recommend this book to others.

Good

It was a good book overall. I think sometimes the story didn't flow well and the plots could have been developed better. But the story and people grew on me..so I will read the second book if there is one.

Horrendous to saccharin

This book need a lot of editing. It is wordy, unimaginative, gross, lacking in language, repetitive, and more. Sorry, I hope the author can improve with better writing and more realistic imagination.

This book was retelling of a biblical story and at times it was painful to my heart to read. The female was naive and unable to do anything for herself. Her parents had been rich and she had servants then they lost everything. She was not able to cope. Loved this story and the characters. Great read

Another very good romance with great characterization by Chloe Carley. Hard to put down after the first half. Once again she has offered an extended epilogue if the reader is so inclined. This looks to be the first book in a series about these three brothers, Morgan, Spencer and Riley. I would recommend this clean, inspirational romance!
