This reference guide will help you to learn the first aid theory for the course and will prepare you for the final written examination. Your instructor will tell you which exercises to complete and when to do them. Your instructor may lead you through exercises as part of the theoretical program. Other exercises are provided for your reference and use but are not used in the formal presentation of the program.
A rather odd thing to rate. Did I absolutely love it? Was it the best thing ever? I don't really have that kind of emotional attachment to it. Of course, if the information that I picked up in this book helps me to assist someone I may have to come back and up my rating of it. Read it in conjunction with my Saint John's course. The only thing I'd add is that I'll try and review the information so it is a bit more stuck in my head. I passed the test with flying colours but I better go back and review in case of emergencies.
Used this book in my personal training in 2010 and found it quite easy to follow and understand. The diagrams are great and the text matches the sketches. Best course manual in this field I have had thus far! They just keep getting better.
