The narrator of Remnants of Ash read this book with an addictive passion. I’ll admit I haven’t read many Fae stories but I really liked this book.

The world as we know it is being torn apart by fae. Chloe sees the start of the end when her professor is killed not so accidentally. Now she needs to find a way to set things right. The task seems impossible but with the help of a fallen fae an adventure unfolds. With magic, romance and the overshadow of death Chloe and Bram set out to save the human

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I’m a little unsure of how I feel about this book. From my understanding, fae have unleashed an apocalypse onto the human world, and Chole and Bram are the only hope left when it comes to saving the world and the remaining human population.

The synopsis for this book sounded amazing, and I couldn’t help myself when there was a copy available to read. I was immediately intrigued. I’m a huge fan of anything fae, so I expected a big hi

I listened to the audio and the narrator does a really good job, so I'd recommend listening. She fit the female lead well.

Cool world building and an interesting idea. I really liked where the story went. There are popular elements to this story dealing with the Fae, but it still felt unique to me. Loved the magical elements, and the Fae elements were great. I also really enjoy apocalypse scenarios, so that added another interesting element to contend with and we get a little action with some fig

I love stories about Fae. So when I had the opportunity to get an advanced copy of this book, I jumped at the chance! This is an interesting story about Chloe, a mere human, and Bram who is a Fae (but he’s fighting for the humans) and their quest for survival after the apocalypse starts. I found this to be a unique take on the Fae because they are causing the apocalypse on earth. There’s lots of stories out there about Fae coming to earth and causing trouble, or humans ending up in the Fae world ...more

Remnants Of Ash By C K Dawn Spoiler Free Review.

*I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for a free and honest review.*

I love Fae stories. I read a lot of them. And as a result, they can get a bit repetitive. But this one? This story was absolutely fantastic and definitely stood out on its own. An Apocalypse, drama, action, it was full to the brim with it all! I adored it so had to give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars!

This book had a fantastic world. I loved learning about it and the world building w

Such a good story!

I loved reading this first book of this series! The main character Chloe & Bram are so perfect for each other! They are super kick-ass and have such great chemistry. I am totally hooked and want to know what happens next. It's non stop action and I love how the Fae there is no purely good or evil, it's not so straight cut. That the "Light Fae" can also be "Dark", and vise versa. I have to admit this is my first reading a story which involves the four horsemens. It's so inte

review of the version contained in Relics and Runes anthology. I'm bypassing the fact this was written as a "new adult" book; in that respect, it wasn't too bad. What adult content there was, was easily overlooked. Basically, the end of the world brought to us by the Fae. I'm not too clear why the Fae implemented a scorched earth policy. Also not sure how the Fae got entwined with the Four Horsemen. So, in fact, the story had some holes. However, close to the end of this book, I became intereste ...more

Remnants of Ash is book one of the Reign of Fae series. This is a unique and different take on the beginning to the biblical apocalypse. Seemingly the only hope for humanity is Chloe (a human) and Bram (a fae). The story line draws you in and keeps you turning pages to the end. Would have been great to have a little more background information. We do have action and twist and turns, some you will see coming and other you will not. Looking forward to book two to see where CK Dawn will be taking u ...more

CK Dawn had me hooked from the first line. I would've liked a longer story, but I am glad Chloe and Bram's tale continues into more books. I really enjoyed Dawn's take on fae politics. It has been a while since I read a fantasy that I enjoyed. It had a nice pace and was engaging. Her story had me guessing up until the very end. I cannot wait to read the subsequent books and continue Chloe and Bram's journey.

Read this as part of a collection called Shades of Fae. The book was enjoyable and the story was still written. There are aspects of the story i enjoyed, but the similarities of the four major fae characters to another mythical for seemed a bit of a stretch to mange and unnecessary. I think those for characters could have stood well enough on their own without this connection being implied. I recommend the book, but that part which is a major of the story was a bit much for me.

This is a very enjoyable fae read!!! Loved the twist with the Fae royals and who they really are!! The characters are very well developed and each have a voice of their own. The author's description of people and places paint a vivid picture in your mind. There is also an amazing love story in the making. Action and Adventure too. What more could you ask for except the next book in the series. Can't wait to continue the story!!

3.5 stars Short but enjoyable

A bit on the short side but enjoyable all the same. I do wish it had a bit more depth so that we could really Get a feel for the characters and the world building but what I saw of Chloe and Bran I liked. I did like the take on some of the fae we are used to seeing and it was a pretty original storyline. I do want to see what will happen next so I will be continuing into book two.

Very interesting story and characters. Chloe is pretty relatable and realistic. The apocalypse nature mixed with faeries is really cool and like nothing I've read before.
I do think some pieces of the plot happened a little too fast, like the romance, and the writing could use some polishing but overall, I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next book.

My review is based on the audiobook. This book is on the shorter side and I wish it were longer becasue I enjoyed what I read. The storyline is pretty original and the characters likeable. The narration had good pacing and character voices. I am invested enough to want to know more and will continue to book 2 which I am hoping has more depth and character development

I tore through this over a couple of nights. The world set up here is vicious and intriguing. I was hooked pretty quickly and thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Can't wait for book two! Highly recommended.

What can I say that the title says it all, fantastic book. But most impressive is the will to survive from the ashes.

I enjoyed this story! Bran and Chloe are trying to survive a post apocalyptic world brought on by the fae. They’re hit with new obstacles at every turn, and there’s lots of twists in this story. I’m excited for the next book.

Did it seem as if they were able to sense dark shadows lurking where the veil between worlds and reality thins? That’s precisely where the idea for the Netherwalker Series came from for CK Dawn!
