Dominic is one of those stories that you lose yourself in. You can’t help but to fall in love with Dom as Molly’s protector. Definitely swoon worthy! Overall AWESOME read! Can’t wait to read Cody’s Christmas Surprise!
Nerdy Dirty & Flirty

Cool ice and high emotion means this story sizzles…
There is definitely an ensemble feel to this first in the series about a new NHL hockey team in, of all places, Las Vegas. If I didn’t think the middle of the desert sounded like a good place to put on skates then I have been proven wrong as the Sidewinders have moved in and they are playing for keeps…
Dom Gianni has a bit of a temper problem which means this is a lucky, and probably last, chance to get back in the NHL good books. He plans on fol

Las Vegas Sidewinders: Dominic is the first novel in Kat Mizera's hockey romance series. A spicy hockey thriller about second chances and choices we make. Dom Gianni loves what he does for a living, but when demons from his past start to affect his job as an enforcer in the NHL, he needs to make a change. The NHL is expanding and his old college coach wants him to be a leader with the Las Vegas Sidewinders. Molly McCarran has lived in a loveless marriage and has been abused for more than half of ...more

I didn't expect to like this book as much as I did! The synopsis seemed a bit far hockey player saves battered older woman from lifetime of abuse and they live happily ever after...
What Kat is able to capture was a very believable story of two broken people who find salvation in each other. The detailed way she takes the reader through the process of healing and the suspense she builds knowing that Molly's ex husband and abuser is always lurking in the shadows make it a real page t

A solid read that was difficult to take a break from.
I enjoy a sports read, especially Hockey and when I sat down to read this I wasn’t sure what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised, because with this being the first in the series, I can now see a few late nights read in my very immediate future.
The story centres around Dominic, well why not…I certainly would! And the other half to the pair is Molly, now I found Molly a little wishy washy initially, she was in a relationship with a man th

Saving her ultimately saves him…
This was such a compelling book, I was totally absorbed by the love story that developed between Dom and Molly as they struggled to rebuild their lives with personal traumas weighing so heavily on them. When Dom saved Molly from the man he witnessed beating her, he has no idea that he was actually the one that was going to be saved. Molly, who’s self esteem has been butchered by her abusive husband, simply cannot fathom why Dom would be interested in anything more

Dominic is an ice hockey star with a temper on the ice. After one nasty incident, he has to start again in a new team in Nevada.
Molly is the wife of a violent LA police officer. Whilst getting beat up by him in a car park,Dominic and his friend come to her rescue. Dominic knows that he must help her and with the help of his ice hockey friends shows Molly what true love and friendship really means. What he didn't expect was by helping her he was also helping himself come to terms with grief. Moll

Dom and Molly

Dom is one of the best guys I have read about in a long time. Dom didn't care that Molly was older then him. I loved how Dom and his teammates stood up and protected Molly from her ex husband Tim . I don't like when females get abused in books .

I've started this series backwards and the need to know more overcome everything so I just wanted to start reading this series property and go from there.
As everyone knows I love this author. Her words and precious books made an addict so I wanted more and more.
Kat Mizera is the one to blame. Her writing is hot, wild, intense and with so much feeling between every chapter that once I started I simply couldn't stop.
Dominic is the first book from the Las Vegas Sidewinders and tells Don and Moll

I am not a hockey fan actually I am not a sports fan at all, but you don't have to be to fall in love with this book. Dom is broken full of rage over the death of the death of best friend Brian. He has been carrying that around a long time and now he is on his last chance to play professional hockey if he messes this up it's over for him.

Molly has lived with abuse from her husband so long that she has given up, he is a cop and and she does not think she will ever be able to run from him. She see

I very much enjoyed this story of two broken and damaged individuals finding love whilst healing each other. The story was well written and I really liked how it didn't conclude swiftly after 'the big showdown'. The writing is good and the book was easy to read. It is written 3rd person but from various characters POV's. Whilst I like this format for Sci-Fi, Urban Fantasy etc it felt a little overwhelming in a contemporary romance. That said I did like the side characters, some of whom playe ...more

If you love a good hockey romance than you have to read Dominic! It is the first book in the Las Vegas Sidewinders series.
Dom is trying to fix his bad reputation in the NHL. He will now be playing for the new expansion team in Las Vegas Under his old college coach and with some of his old college teammates. It has been years since they all suffered the loss of a beloved friend and team mate but Dom blames himself. As a result of the guilt he has a temper, especially on the ice, and because of h

The plan was to read just this book. I will be meeting the author soon and wanted to be prepared. What I wasn't prepared for was how much I loved the book. There is no way I will stop at just one book.

I got sucked in by the characters. The hockey players were yummy, but they had issues that I really enjoyed following--some were so tragic that I had my heart ripped out. In the end, the bunch of misfits stood together to protect their own.

There were so many side stories wrapped in the little book

This book was absolutely amazing, I cried many times while reading,
Dominic's past shattered me but Molly OMG what she lived with for 20 some
years was just as heart breaking, Dominic has just moved to Vegas and is going
to be part of the new expansion team the Sidewinders. This is going to be his last
chance to stay in the NHL he has stipulations he has to follow (due to an incident on the ice)
anger management and therapy with a physiologist. His first day in Vegas he has
met up with his best friend

I jumped right into Dominic's story in the Sidewinders Series. I loved how much we got to see the other upcoming characters in the next books. I could not put this book down!

Dom's instant protector was unleashed when he happens upon Molly. Molly is being abused and almost killed by her husband on the night they cross paths. She has lived this life for 20 years.... and to see this beautiful woman give up makes Dom run to protect her. His best friend Cody is with him and they both help get her to

I enjoyed this story though there is a theme of domestic violence in this story that may be a trigger to some people.
It's an unusual beginning to a story but Dom comes between Molly and her abusive police officer husband.
Molly just wants out of the pain and thinks dying is the answer ,after 20years of beating and more than a dozen miscarriages.
Dom has other ideas, He cannot and will not leave her at that jackasses mercy. He gives her a place to stay and tries to help her get a divorce a

Dominic by Kat Mizera is book One of the Las Vegas Sidewinders Series. This book was very well written and was a very quick read. This book is a Hockey sports romance so if you love those types of books you will love this one Dom Gianni is an NHL Hockey Player which means he is in tip top shape and of course good looking. On the ice, he is use to taking a beating but when he stumbles upon a husband beating up his wife he knows no matter what he needs to step in and protect her. Dom decid

Liked it, but didn't love it. There was a lot of switching POVs with no warning (no obvious break in the formatting to indicate the change) which was sometimes hard to follow. The dialogue was sometimes a bit stilted, too. I did like that the characters were older (i.e. not young twentysomethings), and I do enjoy a good may-december romance, so those things worked for me.

My biggest issue is that I'm getting a little tired of the "hockey player saves damsel in distress" trope. I think it's kinda

Dom and Molly go through alot in this story. Even though the storyline is only a couple of months long, the author crams so much activity into this story that it keeps you on your toes and turning the pages. Dom and Molly meet totally by accident. He turns out to be the knight in shining armor that she needs. Saving Molly turns into the best thing that Dom could have done, both for her and himself. They heal each other and discover a brand new life together. In addition, Molly finds a whole new ...more
The story was good, but there was too many minor plots and sub stories, and other character story lines going on.
I don't mind a minor plot involving other characters where it introduces them for the next story that will be theirs, but this was too much. Cody and Suze; Toli, Sergei and Tatiana.
I will admit that I'm definitely curious about Toli and even Zakk though.

Some of it could have been cut out and used to write other books or novellas.

Minor irking. Why did Toli's brother call him Anatoli Yu

This book is all about the DRAMA with extra DRAMA added in to keep things interesting. Soap opera's could learn from this.
What kept me reading –despite a total dislike of overly dramatic storylines –is that the characters are fantastic. Leading man, Dom, has his moments of idiocy but he’s a nice guy; and leading lady, Molly, was likeable from first appearance. I was instantly engaged in what was happening to them.
The supporting cast of characters gets fully developed as well. Mizera does a bang-

Enjoyed it, it wasn’t just about Dom and Molly but the whole Sidewinders family. I recognize that it’s a start of a series, but I love interconnected characters in novels. I happened to read Defending Dani a few months back(enjoyed it!). So, I was curious about the Vegas characters and found the set with the first few books. Molly was strong and brave to put up with the abuse and Dom somehow found himself and forgiveness after meeting Molly. I appreciate that the heroine wasn’t young and that a ...more
The writing was mediocre. The dialogue between MCs were so stiff and strange, especially in the beginning of the book. So much shallow descriptions and cliches. The heroine I had a lot of problems with - she pretty much says the same things over and over again. A few typos that should have been caught. But...I still manage to enjoy the book. I liked the ensemble of characters, and there is quite a bit of drama to keep it interesting. Not the best of writing but still a decent story in the end, j ...more

I read this story and loved all the characters. I love sports, especially hockey. Dom is one of the main characters and he is a hockey player. Reminds me of the old school hockey players, they were big time fighters. Unfortunately for him, his fighting is more of an anger issue. It has gotten him in trouble and almost without a team to play for. Molly is married to an abusive man. Her being friends with Dom helps get her away from the horrible, dangerous man. She has a hard time trusting men. Wh ...more

This is the first book I have read from this author and I am hooked. I really enjoyed this book. It was a love story created around a hockey team. While not totally about the team. It showed how the team becomes like a family. The author did a great job creating memorable characters while not losing the thread of the story. I loved how she shows second chances do exist for love and people. She has created a wonderful series. Dom and Molly's love story was filled with ups, downs, twists and turns.I ...more
