They call me a God, Demon, Monster,
Depends on which side of me they've faced.
I'm cold, with an insatiable thirst for blood, lust, and money.
If you've got my attention,
You're either next on my list, or about to slip into my sheets.
I'm Arthur Calthorpe, leader of the Tabella Della Morte.
I don't trust, I own.
I don't love, I desire.
I don't ask, I take.
And I want Gaia.

The silver haired tyrant is a ruthless criminal,
The first time I saw him was in my mother's bed,
But the monster has set his sights on me.
He's relentless, and he's found my Achilles heel.
When he offers me a bargain, I'm hard-pressed to refuse.
What lengths am I willing to go to be free of him, and how far will he go to stop me?
The trouble is those eyes and the fact that I want to know the story behind them.

Damn, do I love Arthur!! Raised to be a ruthless bastard, Arthur usually stays safely behind the scenes rather than joining his men on the front lines. Things have become personal though, and Arthur is itching to get his hands dirty. Scorned by the woman he’d thought was his one true love, Arthur has built what he thought was an impenetrable wall around his heart. But then he meets Gaia...

Gaia is one of the most powerful, badass heroines I’ve met in a long, long time! With a completely screwed up family and all kinds of drama surrounding her at every turn, the last thing Gaia expects is to develop feelings for Arthur.

Arthur and Gaia aren’t just the only two characters – both have unbelievably screwed up families! With lots of disturbing, bloody depravity (pleasing my dark erotica loving heart) mixed with super hot sex scenes, drug addiction, adultery, abuse, secrets, and more, I was entertained from start to finish!!!!

PS: Jo-Anne, if you read this: Pretty please can Gabe have his own book one day? Pleeeeasssse?!?!?!?

EEKKKK! It's time for Arthur's book.

Arthur has held this air of mystery and power. He is the leader, the puppet master, the one who calls all of the shots. I have long thought of him as having no heart, no consciousness, just as this stone cold leader. I was pleasantly surprised to find that he still has very little heart and is just as ruthless I as thought he would be. But there is this glimmer inside of him that sparks when his longtime enemy is back causing trouble.

Along the ride to finally put an end to his rival he encounters something completely unexpected, Gaia. She is quite a bit younger than Arthur but is an old soul. Also completely vicious and able to hold her own in this murderous world she was born into. Gaia is tired of being caged and is non-to-happy being brought to Arthur's home, but he sparks feelings in her she didn't know existed.

Dark, bloody, twisted and completely intriguing. Maybe one of my favorites of the series, Joseph did a great job of capturing this character that has been a long time coming. I have never read her before but if she puts out a book for Gaia's brother, I am all in.

Finally we get to properly meet the puppet master, the guy behind the scenes Arthur Calthorpe.

Arthur is ruthless, powerful and the leader of The Cavalieri Delle Morte Assassins.

Gaia, just like Arthur has had a shocking past but they are a perfect match. Their chemistry is explosive. Jo -Anne Joseph did a fantastic job of delivering a suspenseful ending to the series.

“He’s not a monster, Gaia, he’s just been exposed to the dark for too long. Much like you and me.”

Arthur, the man pulling the strings, moving the pawns and directing the dance of pose. The man in the shadows, the enigma and the one everyone fears. This is the story we have all been waiting for. What made the man into the Devil? How did he become the father of the Cavalieri? Why did he gather these men together and what has motivated to become the man he is today?

Arthur was raised to be a King, a leader of ruthless men that basks in the pain and blood shed of those that have gone against him. Betrayal has hardened and refined him into the cold, calculating bastard we have grown intrigued by in this series. Learning his back story gives clarity as to why he has made his men’s choices to love a trial of pain and a rest of loyalty and I felt myself quickly warming to the man who first hand experienced the hardest of all truths. He is charismatic and devilish deceptive yet he acts uncharacteristically when he recognises the darkness in her eyes as reflection of his own.

Gaia is more than a pretty package, raised by evil and having sworn to make all the monsters pay, she is capable of all the acts that most fear happen in the dark. A pawn in a game she refuses to play the part and her fire catches the eye of Arthur. Somewhere in the ebb and flow of the power play she becomes lost to his hypnotic character and realises he is more than the leader of the Cavalieri, more than his reputation and has a mission to end all those that have betrayed him. Finding a common ground Gaia finds herself in a whirlwind of emotion and uncertainty. Can she figure out where her loyalties lie and unearth the truth?

This is a perfect end to this series, it has twists and turns, harrowing scenes that they have endured throughout their lives and moments of reflection and regret that humanised the monsters. Happiness is fleeting unless you work at it and pursue it and Arthur finds his happy in others pain. He is sinister and brutal and yet beautifully controlled and precise with each movement he makes against his enemies. Like a well rehearsed dance, he glides amongst those who want to bring him to his knees, and delivers a winning performance that leaves every one stunned. The truth is hard to swallow but can Arthur outmanoeuvre his nemesis and find his peace? Ooh so many questions that I’m trying hard not to spoil for those as excited to read this as I was. This delivers on every level and I couldn’t put it down. A fantastic end to a clever series that has had my gripped, a marvellous concept that I have enjoyed reading.

A five star “forgiveness is not something you give to just anyone” read.

What an incredible end to this phenomenal series! If you have been reading this series, you will know the name Arthur Calthorpe. He is a force to be reckoned with and he will do anything to protect his family. This series had me from the very first book and I couldn't wait to read Arthur's story. He is the man behind all the scenes and who doesn't love a hot, older man! He has a plan in place and then he meets Gaia and all that changes, or at least that is what I thought. These two meet in a not so conventional way, but you could feel it in your heart that these two belonged together. But there are so many obstacles, I couldn't see how it could be possible. This story ties up any loose ends and while it does end the series, I'm hoping for maybe some spin-offs! Arthur and Gaia will ingrain themselves into your very heart and soul, they belong together, and I hoped against hope they would end up together. But, if you want to know, you will have to read this story. I do highly recommend you start at the very beginning so you can understand how Arthur came to be. This story is also not for the feint of heart, at times it could be very, very dark, but I loved every word and am in awe of this authors writing. A true masterpiece!!

Inexorable (Cavalieri Della Morte series) by Jo-Anne Joseph is Artnur Calthorpe's story. I have so been looking forward to his story. As the leader of the elite group of assassins we learn how he became the man that he is. Arthur is a cold blooded killer who is ruthless which is how he was raised and groomed by his father. Arthur's family has run New Orleans for generations. After the ultimate betrayal by those closest to him there was not stopping him. He cared about no one until her. Gaia knows Arthur because her family is an associate and her mother is sleeping with Arthur. There is something about him that sets her soul on fire. She knows she needs to be guarded but she just can't stay away. Inexorable is all that. It was all that and a bag of chips and a juicy. Action packed. Of course Arthur is sexy as hell. I do say I was expecting some reasons why he did somethings with the other assassins from the previous books but no such luck. They were in the story, loyal to Arthur and following his orders without question. No matter I still liked the story and was not disappointed. 4.5 stars for me.

Oh my dayz. Have you been reading this series? Well if not go back and read each and every one as they are so so good.

Inexorable is Arthur’s story. We know of him from the previous books but don’t really know him. This author did a fantastic job of letting us get into Arthur’s head.

Gaia is amazing. What a feisty powerful character. I was in awe of her. She had been through so much yet she could still stand up for herself.

The author blew my expectations apart with this story. It is a perfect ending to the series though we do get to read another one soon.

This is certainly gonna be one of my favourite stories this year. The twists and turns had me in a spin and I loved every minute of it.

What a way to bring the Cavalieri Della Morte series together. Jo-Anne brings us Arthurs story the mysterious man In charge and what a amazing job she did. You see Arthur throughout each book in the series but his past is always kept secret. Now you get to read his story. I loved every moment of this book. The main characters really worked off each other so well and the strong female role in this story really made the story that much better. Definitely a great addition to the series.

THIS BOOK, y'all!! It scrambled my brain, put my heart through a blender and scorched my soul. I had no idea what I was getting into, but I never could have imagined this. This bloody, vindictive, sinister and oh-so-delicious masterpiece!

Arthur Calthorpe is a hard, ruthless man with a heart of ice. He racked up his first kill at age eleven and learned long ago that love makes a man weak. He's the head of the most powerful crime family in New Orleans, and he lives to control, consume and dominate. This is a man who you only cross once, because he'll ensure you don’t live to do it a second time. Women have only one purpose for a man like Arthur: to submit to his brutal treatment as they meet his baser needs, leaving the woman used, discarded and destroyed. That is, until he meets Gaia.

This mind-blowing book is all kinds of messed up! Okay, I feel better getting that off my chest. But truly, this book is so outside my reality with criminals to whom the rest of the world's laws don’t apply. Arthur and his men would just as soon shoot you as shake your hand, and the eyes of the law are blind, I tell you. Blind! Then there’s the whole Arthur and Gaia thing. She has to be about twenty-five years younger than him, and the way they get together? Well, I can’t tell you without spoiling something, but any other girl would have run far, far away when she had the chance.

That said, it’s also a story that left an indelible mark on my soul. I don’t know how she did it, but the author had me falling for this vicious, horrible man, and I’m still dumbfounded. I had no trouble connecting with Gaia, and she's one smart, tough cookie. I yelled at her several times to get away from Arthur and stay far away, but as I read on, my tune changed until eventually I was pulling for them to be together.

If you’re a little bored with the typical contemporary romance and want something that will shake you up a bit, this is definitely the book for you. It’s complex and convoluted, with twists and surprises you’ll never see coming. It portrays an epic love that is pure, beautiful, and hard won, and it will keep you in its clutches from the first page to the last. Once you start reading, you won't want to put this book down!

After reading this series, I’ve had glimpses of Arthur. I wondered why he was always so angry when his men found young women they loved. And now with this story, his behaviour makes sense. His past has dictated his actions and he hardened his heart. Arthur turned himself into a cold heartless monster to protect himself. However this silver fox is much more than what he lets people see.

Gaia is a fiery young woman with immense strength and love despite her experiences. Fiercely loyal and determined, she is not one to cower under Arthur’s gaze. Even when he threats and demands Gaia to comply. The two of them are both stubborn and quick tempered which makes for a combustible combination. Arthur tries to push Gaia away to ensure her freedom but Gaia won’t let him.

There are surprises galore as the past is slowly revealed. It seems that Gaia’s family is not what they seem. There have been some great books in this series but I think this one has edged its way to the top of the list. I loved Arthur because he was a complicated man who, despite his actions, wasn’t entirely what he seemed at first glance. He is the epitome of the phrase you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. This was a great book by Jo-Anne Joseph. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Out of chaos comes love❤️❤️

Oh mercy me this was the book I had been waiting for and by a new arthur for me and damn did it not disappoint this book was absolutely amazing.

This is Arthur's book and as you would expect with him being the boss of the Cavalieri men that his story would be full of gruesome discoveries and this Arthur oh man nailed it. He'd not had the best of life he'd had to toughen up at a early age at the hand's of his father always striving for more. Wherever he went death followed he wasn't called the "Reaper" for nothing.

There was so much going on in this book it kept me turning pages. I had wondered when I started reading the series just how the Cavalieri Della Morte men had come to be and all is revealed in the story you won't want to miss this book.

This was a hard book to put down I couldn't get enough of it. If you've been reading the series you most definitely need to grab this one it was so freaking good.

This book isn't for the faint of heart and there are triggers all in the book plus the arthur does warn of such triggers so heed the warnings, but because of his lifestyle I wouldn't expect anything less.

The Calthorpes don’t do second chances, and around here, there was no God but us.”
Inexorable by Jo-Anne Joseph is book number twelve in the Cavalieri Della Morte series. This is the one we have ALL been waiting for, the man behind the scenes and the leader of the Cavalieri Della Morte. This book is EVERYTHING I had hoped it would be when we FINALLY got the man of the hour, Arthur Calthorpe’s story.

Arthur Calthorpe, the legendary ruler, creator, and man in charge of the assassins of the Cavalieri Della Morte. Arthurs family is one of the oldest, affluent, feared families in New Orleans. Arthur had his first kill at only eleven years old and learned early in life that love makes you weak. The night his father was murdered was the same night he killed his own wife and best friend. Betrayal has made Arthur into the hardened ruthless man he is today.

So when Charles Russo and his brother decided to aid an enemy of Arthur’s, they must pay. But this time, he’s not letting his Cavalieri handle things, it’s time for Arthur to get his hands dirty. There are no second chances when it comes to a man like Arthur Calthorpe.
“I wanted her to beg, I wanted her to submit. I wanted her to obey. I would not stop until she did.”
Gaia Russo, a music teacher at a prestigious school in NOLA and the daughter of Charles Russo. Gaia hates her family. If it wasn’t for her twin brother Gabe she would have been long gone by now. Gabe is an addict and Giai spends most of her evenings pulling him out of drug dens. But Gaia is determined to get Gabe and herself away from the family that is constantly trying to pull them under.

The first time Giai meets Arthur, she knows there’s nothing but darkness behind those eyes. But when Gia’s father betrays Arthur and he decides to use her and Gabe as pawns, Arthur has overestimated the love this father has for his children and his plan backfires.
“He’s not a monster, Gaia, he’s just been exposed to the dark for too long. Much like you and me.”
But when an enemy from the past reappears, Arthur and Giai’s story is about to get a whole lot more complicated…

Gahhh who would have thought?! Arthur went from a man I absolutely despised to a man I can most definitely tolerate. Lol, no but seriously Jo-Anne has given me a completely different side of Arthur. I absolutely loved this story, I mean what’s not to like? There’s revenge, suspense, addiction, adultery, abuse, murder, mystery, sex, and a whole bunch of twist and turns along the way!
“She could never have a normal life with me. She was too beautiful for the chaos that surrounded me. She was too perfect for the imperfection that was my life. Gaia was my only weakness.”
Like I said getting a totally different side of Arthur, and seeing what made him into the man he is was a real eye-opener for me. I knew that something tragic had happened in his past, but I never in a million years thought that his first wife had betrayed him in such a way but knowing what I know now, I’m looking at each and every one of these books in a whole new light.

Giai was such a badass heroine! She was tired of the monsters so she took matters into her own hands, she didn’t sit back and wait for a man to do it for her. I absolutely LOVED that! Gabe and Giai both had been through quite a lot and my heart broke for them as children. If Jo-Anna feels like giving us Gabe’s story at some point, that would be fan-fucking-tastic, sign me up!
“His darkness was my safe place.”

Absolutely loved seeing some of the other guys again and their relationship with Arthur, especially the relationship between Arthur and Lance since this is AFTER Lance and Giuliana (Arthur’s daughter) got together. LOVED IT!
“I heard them before I saw them, a smile spreading across my face. The Cavalieri were here, and they sounded angry as hell. Like I’d tried to tell my father, loyalty was at the core of the organization. Loyalty did not come from blood ties.”
Jo-Anne Joseph is a new to me author but DAMN did she do a hell of a job with this one! What a way to bring this whole series together, seriously EXCELLENT installment. Seriously, I was hooked from start to finish, I HIGHLY recommend checking out Inexorable as well as the rest of the Cavalieri Della Morte series!
“The broken parts of him fit with mine perfectly.”

These writers has never failed me so far. Every book keeps you begging for the bad guy who will kill at the drop of a hat. The authors have sucked you in until you can’t think of anything else. And this book follows that path to a tee!!! I have never loved and hated a villain at the same time in my life. He made me want to be Gia because of his dark and dirty ways. The author created this dark, delicious forbidden romance that you will devour from the first word. An unbelievable, unpredictable story of lies, deceit and darkness. Join the dark world of Cavalieri Della Morte and you will never regret it.

Arthur is the head honcho of this criminal organization. He makes the men do what he wants and he always gets what he wants. He wants Gaia. Their story is one full of many emotions and twists and turns. You have to read it to find out what and how it all happens. It is an age gap romance that will leave you with a hangover and loving age gaps and dark and forbidden men that we should run far away from.

From the very start of this fantastic series I have eagerly awaited Arthur Calthorpe's story and it was everything I hoped for.

A force to be reckoned with and the man behind the scenes Arthur has always made sure the Cavalieri dole out justice. There's nothing he wouldn't do for the family he's created. All his carefully constructed plans are thrown for a loop when he meets a spitfire named Gaia.

I loved Gaia's fierceness and her unwillingness to give up no matter what. Her interactions with Arthur had me either laughing out loud or fanning myself. These two were quite the interesting pair and I enjoyed watching them circle around the other. Things were not as they seemed and the twists and turns their story took along the way kept me on the edge of my seat until the end.

I have enjoyed this amazing series and as perfect as Arthur's story was to end it I am a bit sad to say goodbye to my favorite Knights.

Finally, Arthur’s story, the mystery man in charge. He’s always been present throughout the previous novels but he’s been in the background, an enigma that was followed implicitly. This tale tells us of his past and the beginning of the Cavalieri Della Morte. How his present personal life came about and really tells us the true Arthur and scary he can be. The development of the characters was good, the heroine held herself up very well against such a strong lead character, adding plenty of drama. There’s suspense, angst, tension, and violence which at one point made me quite nauseous.
On saying that, the story was brilliantly written, it’s an extremely dark story that was a phenomenal read.
I highly recommend this book!

After reading other books in this series, I was eager to finally read Arthur's story. He is dark, cold blooded and ruthless. Gaia and him meet under extenuating circumstances. She has endured much pain in her life and is equally ruthless in righting the wrongs done to her and others. These two are the perfect match for each other. Unfortunately, things don't turn out quite the way either one expected. This bone chilling, gritty journey of theirs gave me a twisted, mind blowing reading experience. I highly recommend this masterpiece to readers that love dark romance.

Holy SMOKE!!! I have been waiting in getting my hands on Arthur. This is a fantastic addition to this amazing series.
There is so much more to Arthur than meets the eye. We get a glimpse into his past, and learn the reasons why he is as ruthless as he is. I love the fact he met his match in every way in Gaia. I love the fact that she is a kickass woman. The things she has endured were horrific, but they have made her a stronger woman.
The twist that takes place in this plot will blow your mind. I couldn't put this down once I started, because I needed to see how their story played out.

After reading almost all of the books in this series of has become clear that Arthur Calthorpe is my next BBF. He is indeed a monster but only if you cross him. I also want to be BFFs with Gaia. She is a woman who gives no fucks and takes no shit. She is also never stops fighting for those she cares about. The chemistry and passion between Arthur and Gaia is impossible to ignore and the push and pull they have going on till the very last word kept me on the edge of my seat. I can only imagine what they could ruling together and it makes me smile. I need to go now because I feel the need to read this book again.

Wow!!! Epic ending to a killer series.
Arthurs story is just how I imagine, dark and messed up. The ruthless king of the Cavalieri dela Morte is just as deadly as his men. This story had me glued to my kindle.
Gaia is made for Arthur, she is just as ruthless as he is, they are a match made in hell. The turmoil that goes on between them will suck you right in.
Dark, hot and unforgettable!!

Wow! This book just blew my mind! The name Arthur has been mentioned throughout this series. Arthur Calthorpe is a man that will do what needs to be down to protect his family, no matter what or who he has to take down to do it. He is ruthless with a heart of ice. Gaia is another strong and fierce female character in this series. I highly recommend this book and the entire series!

Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
This is the story I was waiting for.
Arthur ~
The mind behind the Cavalieri ~ The King
The Puppeteer controlling our knights.
Ruthless ~ Poisonous ~ No f's to give
Everything I knew he was ~ I was so not disappointed!
Getting the story of how and why Arthur became such a void of emotions. Seeing him in his habitat, manipulating, planning conquering! Priceless!
From the first book, I decided I really did not trust him. As I progressed through the series I found he was quite easy to loathe but at other times just as easy to love.
I may have a soft spot for the old man ❤️

Gaia is a force unto herself! Watching her bring the mighty Arthur to his knees made me fricking giddy! She is a piano teacher by day but once the sun sets, pray it is not you that she harbors ill intentions towards. She is one bad arse biatch!

The chemistry, the take and ... (wasn't a whole lot of give) between these two was electric!
The twisted little surprises dotted here and there? Oh heck no!

Getting to go behind the scenes. Seeing all my favorites to date. Priceless!
As with all the books from this series, if lots of blood flowing freely, graphic torture, angst (lots of angst), betrayal and steamy behind the door scenes that are not so behind the door are not your thing you might want to choose another book.

Arthur Calthorpe is the leader of the Cavalieri Della Morte; a group of assassins combined to carry out chosen tasks based on their unique skillset. He is considered cruel, violent and savage ...his thirst for revenge is what fuels him. Jo-Anne Joseph does a fantastic job making him sounds like a sexy God of darkness; albeit one that you do NOT want to cross but definitely wouldn’t mind having in your bed.

My heart broke for Arthur for the first part of this novel. With the way the novel started I never imagined feeling anything like that for him throughout the book but it happens. I enjoyed seeing him almost human instead of the cold blooded killer he is so often thought of. Gaia can hold her own with him and any other man you put in front of her. Having witnessed so much growing up nothing shocks her anymore. This one might just be my favorite...it’s so hard to choose but the author did such an amazing job finally exposing Arthur Calthorpe to the world!

This series was such fun reading; I am a series junkie and loved being able to meet each individual assassin and then finally the king of darkness himself.

Jo-Anne Joseph has thrown me for a loop with this one. She usually makes me cry and breaks my heart and pieces it back together again but this book has thrown me for a loop I wasn't expecting. I must say that this book is genius. Utterly brilliant. The characters are flawed, hard, edgy, gripping, and will nail you to your seat. You will learn to expect the unexpected and tread with open eyes. I love dark reads and this one quickly checked each and every box on my must have lists.

You have a strong alpha man that is so dark and tragic he makes you want to fall in love with his dark soul and shatter yours in the process and not give a damn that he did. He makes you want to be on the receiving end of his wrath. This alpha is so worth the read. TRUST ME!!!!!!

The heroine is so strong and determined that the alpha has no idea what he is up against. In other dark reads the female lead is always portrayed as a bit weak and I love that Jo-Anne made this woman so strong and determined and didn't make her a flake. She is utterly broken in ways that the alpha cant even begin to imagine and her soul is in need of repair beyond measures that he has known even as dark as he is.

When you add those two combinations together they make a dynamic duo and that makes for one hell of a ride in this book. I am so in love with this book that it will be on my must reads list until the end of time. Do yourself a favor and go dark and enjoy the ride through hell with these two because you won't want it to ever end. The characters are clear and written beautifully and the storyline is one hell of a roller coaster ride. GET THIS BOOK NOW>>>>>>>>
