A Witness for Him
Thirteen-year-old Minerva Gingerich overheard the egg customer talking about the polio epidemic that was sweeping across the land. Apprehensive, she mentioned the spread of the disease to her sister. Well, her sister said cheerfully, if it comes sweeping over us, we'll just duck! But polio was no respecter of persons, and no amount of ducking could help Minerva or her siblings escape its ravages. Before the epidemic had run its course, many in the Gingerich household had been affected by it. But only Minerva would live with disabilities for the rest of her life. Read the inspiring true story of a woman who has lived with severe limitations for more than sixty years and has determined to glorify her Creator through it all.

Very interesting and great book to read.
I love the way Minerva lived her life and was a testimony to anyone she came in contact with. It was very interesting especially since I personally knew a lot of the characters in the story and my husband is a cousin to Minerva and Lovina. Good read!
