Sarah Keating was sure she’d be married by 30. Husband, kids, the kick-ass career helping adults with Down Syndrome—she assumed she’d have it all, and there’d be no need to fall back on the marriage pact she made with her best pal from college.

But a tipsy message she sends from her birthday party brings Ian Nolan to her door ready to rock her world, and not just with mind-

The Last by Tawna Fenske not only packed an emotional punch, but it also had me laughing out loud. It takes a special writer to balance heavy emotion with comic relief and Ms. Fenske not only does it, she does it well. College best friends who made a “marriage pact” find themselves both unattached at that magical age of 30 and despite their differing views on love and marriage, find that even without seeing each other in years, their friendship is stronger and ever not to mention new found chemi

I recently finished the "First Impression" series by Tawna Fenske and became a huge fan of her writing. So I have been very excited to get an early copy of her newest book. "The Last" is the third part in a series and I haven't read the pervious books but it can easily be read as a standalone. I never had the feeling that I missed out on information.

Sarah and Ian have been friends in college but only kept light contact over the past 10 years. Even though they made a pact in college that if both

I think I’m just not in the mood for this type of book right now, because normally I love Tawna Fenske’s stories, but this one didn’t work for me. Mostly because of Sarah’s incredibly immature idea of love. Ian is right there in front of her, a man she has known for years, who is basically her best friend and she has scorching hot chemistry with. Someone she loves being around, someone she can always be herself with, someone who understands who she is, where she came from, what she dreams of. Bu ...more

Ahhhh…Tawna! You just keep amazing me!!! Such a wizard of the Rom-Coms!!! The Last is the 3rd book in The List Series by the hilarious you-will-not-want-to-put-your-book-down Author, Tawna Fenske.

When Sarah Keating turns 30 (and is still not a Mrs.) she thinks back to the college drunken agreement made with her bestie, Ian Nolan, who’s birthday is just a couple days before hers. They jokingly made a deal that if they were both single at 30, they would get married! When her yearly birthday text t

I've been enjoying a lot of books published by Entangled recently, so I was delighted to see this one pop up on NetGalley. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. And, honestly, I loved it.

While I haven't read anything by Tawna Fenske before, and this is the third book in a series, I can tell you that it works perfectly well as a standalone novel. However, I look forward to reading the other two books, since Cassie and Lisa seem like fun, not to mention I'd like to see more of Junie.

This is the 3rd book in The List series. It reads as a standalone. I haven’t read the other 2 in the series, but Fenske gives a really quick update about the other 2 couples in the series, so you don’t feel left behind. This story was a super creative concept on both a friends to lovers and marriage of convenience trope. Fenske set this up quite well, that it felt completely original. Ian and Sarah had been friends in college and had little to no contact over the next 10 years. I think their rom ...more

4,5 hilarious stars :) as always, I loved the writing style :) full review tomorrow, on the release day, I need to gather my thoughts... :)

edited to add my full review :)

I voluntarily reviewed an early copy of this book :) this is the third installment in a truly hilarious series, but worry not, each of them work perfectly well as standalones, so you don't have to read them in order :) yes, the couples from two previous novels appear in this one, but you don't need to read their books to enjoy

Sweet fluffy friends to lovers second chance romance with a difference.

Sarah's questioning her life on her birthday and one thing leads to another.. which eventually had Ian popping up. They were never intimate during their collage years but that didn't mean there wasn't feelings flying around for at least one of them.

Holy raunchy loofahs, Batman! Boy is The Last one hot book, so if you’re in the mood for sexiness galore, a hunky ginger and a great time don’t miss this one!

Sarah and Ian were best friends in college, with great chemistry but never quite the right timing, they remained distant acquaintances through the years. Sarah’s 30th birthday, lots of champagne and some IMing brings Ian to her door to fulfill a pact that had been forgotten up until that night. If they were still single by age 30

This book triggered a series of reactions in me. I went from laughing until I reached the peak of emotional turmoil. Firstly I was a little taken aback because the male character was not what I’m used to reading so this marks a first for me. Yep, Ian is a sexy redhead so in my devilish imagination I tried to picture this man and I must say I wasn’t at all displeased. Beyond this what really caught my attention is the sensitive subject of the disabling world, because Sarah works among people with ...more

Another winner! This book is both sexy and sweet in all the right ways. I loved how Sarah and Ian reconnected after many years....it's not you're typical meet-cute, but instead is so much better. Their story is engaging and I found myself captivated by their characters and hoping for them to get their HEA ending.

While this is part of a series, it is a stand alone novel. However, it's so good that you really owe it to yourself to read them all. The only negative thing I can say about this book is

No one writes romcoms quite like Tawna Fenske and this is a great one. I has laugh out loud moments, emotional moments, and sizzling hot steamy moments. A long ago pact made between Sarah and Ian has her sending a drunken birthday text and Ian arriving on her doorstep. Both of these characters have baggage making their marriage of convenience plan seem like the way to go. Before diving in headfirst they decide to have a trial period. Let the fun sexy times begin!!

College friends make a pact to marry if they have not met and married by their thirtieth birthday. Sarah has her friends, her career and is financially comfortable. Ian has flown into town ready to fulfill their long ago promise. He wants a business arrangement with benefits and so does she. Except Sarah does not want to give up on the love token. "A copy of this book was provided by Entagled books via Netgally with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."

Tawna Fenske has a knack for creating engaging characters and stories with humor, heart and a ton of heat. She’s done it again with “The Last,” which is, sadly, the last in a three-book series. (The first and second, “The List” and “The Test,” are highly recommended.)

In this last installment we find Sarah, a newly minted 30 year old, reconnecting with her college buddy, Ian. Their relationship was platonic, though Ian harbored a secret crush, and over the years they have kept in touch, albeit sp

This book has it all. I’ve enjoyed this entire series but loved Sarah from the first time I read her in The List (don’t worry – you don’t have to read it first). She is a gal with a huge heart who shares her life with an amazing circle of friends, with an admirable job to keep her life full. When she decides to connect with her old college guy pal things get interesting pretty darn quickly.
This book features a lot of laughing out loud humor, some steamy sexy scenes and some very heartfelt scene

I devoured this amazing story. Captivated and totally enthralled I did not put this book down. Tawna's writing is flawless and the story she spilled out onto the pages was from the beyond. Holy nuts it's that good.
The story is about Sarah and Ian who have been friends forever and in college made one of those drunk deals that if neither were married at 30 they'd marry each other. Right. Sarah never saw herself unmarried with her 30th approaching but she's got a job she loves, she's independent an

I loved this book! It was hot, funny and emotional, all in one sometimes. Reading with a smile and tears gathering in my eyes, reading about the emotions of both the hero and the heroine. I didn’t read the first book and I kind of missed the “togetherness” of it being in a series, although it is said that the books can be read as a stand-alone. I loved the fact that the couple visited in another series of the author, that was kind of visiting old friends. All in all, it was an awesome book – wit ...more

Sarah Keating is celebrating her 30th birthday by reminding herself that it is okay to be single, not married with kids, husband, house and all that she thought she would have at thirty. When she does he immediately texts back and shortly thereafter he agrees to come over since he is in town. They had also agreed to marry when they we ...more

Tasha Fenske. I'm going to have to remember that name because I really enjoyed reading her new story, The Last, a friends-to-lovers contemporary romance. I'll happily read her work again.

Ian Nolan and Sarah Keating made a pact in college to marry each other if they weren't married to others by then. Ten years later, Ian drops by to propose what sounds more like businesslike merger than a marriage. In the intervening years, Ian has become convinced love isn't for him, but he needs a wife to land

Saved the best for The Last!

This is book 3 of The List Series. I don’t know how Tawna Fenske does it, but I related to this book and enjoyed it as much as the previous 2!

Sarah and Ian were college best friends. On their 30th birthdays, they remember they made a pact to marry each other if they aren’t married by the time they’re 30. Doesn’t everyone have this plan with a friend in high school or college? In this case, Ian seems to have his entire life in disarray! The two had lost connection but

This was the 3rd book in the series, but can be read as a stand alone. The book is about Sarah Keating and Ian Nolan. They met in college and became great friends, but even though they tried to stay in touch afterwards the years and life struggles kept them apart.

Funny, emotional, includes reindeer...

I LOVED Ian and Sarah's second chance story! They had been the best of friends in college. They shared hopes, dreams, family. It all ended suddenly and abruptly. No drama, no arguments, Ian was suddenly, gone... Years later, a birthday-infused promise meant a casual greeting steamrolled into marriage in 2 point nothing seconds. Hot, quietly manic with no melodrama, what happened next was....

Perfect. I loved these characters who cared so much for each other.
