ABOUT THE Soldati di Sangue (Soldiers of Blood) SERIES
These interconnected standalones will push your limits, test your one handed reading technique, and take you into a suspenseful world where men are domineering and dangerous, and their female counterparts are feisty and strong.
Ally is an International Bestselling Author who writes in the Dark Romance & Horror genres. Ally has been writing since she was a teenager, and it had been a long-time dream of hers to finally become a published author. Ally lives in Kent, in the United Kingdom, with her husband, son, and their two crazy kitties; Kian and Declan.
I'm not quite sure how to rate Delinquent, it has an imaginative plot and some nice twists within it. The two main characters Seth and Leeann are, in their own way, both very likeable. However, for reasons I can't pinpoint, this authors writing style just doesn't work for me. There is NOTHING specific for me to criticise, the writing isn't poor quality or boring. In fact I can guarantee that not only will this author have lots of loyal fans but many of those who are reading the Cavalieri Della Morte series will also love the book. It really is a 'me not you' situation.
I loved Leeann's fiery and strong personality and, given his age, Seth also felt pretty believable. I enjoyed their interactions, be those battles of will or super steamy moments. This pair had scorching chemistry! The suspense element was well executed and definitely kept me reading. The author's descriptions did allow me to build a good picture of both people and places, which also helped draw me into the story.
I can't say that the author convinced me of anything more than lust between Seth and Leeann. Personally I needed more than scenes of them arguing or having sex to persuade me a deeper emotional connection existed. The Arthur/Lance/Seth discussion at the end also felt underdeveloped. It felt rather like it went nowhere, it didn't really add to the story.
I did like that this book, it was better than 'just ok' and should appeal to both fans of the author and those who enjoy romantic suspense.
Ally Vance had my heart racing throughout this story that never once slowed down. It has suspense, action, twists and everything you could want in a book. It’s definitely not a slow burn or for the faint of heart. Be prepared for the darkness Ally Vance always delivers on and some definite violence that may make you want to close your eyes.
This book has flawless character development. I absolutely need a Seth and I want to be Leeann when I grow up (yeah ok, my age aside on that one). She’s a fighter who doesn’t hold back and I adored it. I love the push/pull between the two characters and the sizzling chemistry between them. It made for some extremely hot scenes and left me wanting even more of them. The world building blew me away it was so masterful. I not only could see it but I felt like I was right there, even when I wanted to cringe away.
The story itself left me breathless. The words just about jumped off the page and I couldn’t stop reading it. Ally Vance pushes the limit and absolutely hits the target on this delectably edgy book. It’s a thrilling must read.
5 stars for a dark, passionate and action filled read!
It's time for the youngest member of the Cavalieri, Seth.
I remember him from Lance's book and I had thought his book would have been sooner, but regardless I was looking forward to getting more of him and to read his backstory. Being that he is young, he doesn't have a whole lot of years behind him. He is fairly new to the fold and has become Arthur's collector. He is a bit menacing and is good at collecting things, but there is a just of touch of humanity left in him.
In a twisted way, his newest debt to collect makes his past come full-circle. LeeAnn was not supposed to be part of this process in any way but she finds herself being bartered and then taken all in a matter of days. She's a fighter and in no way compliant to the situation she has found herself in.
This was a quick read, there was a fast-moving story that was well thought out and certainly a bit twisted. I did find that I was lacking in connection with the characters and the end seemed like it was missing something. Overall I did enjoy the book and it was a good addition to this collection.
I hate writing 3 star reviews, but I promised myself I would be more critical in writing reviews this year. Alas, here we are.
Delinquent is part of The Cavalieri Della Morte Series. This is Seth's story. I've had hits and misses with this series, but have enjoyed nonetheless.
In the beginning this seemed like a blood thirsty read, a promising premise, but it sizzles out very quickly. I felt like the story was told not shown, everything was thrown at me, and I didn't feel any emotion. Sadly I was disappointed and hoping for more quality time with the characters, I couldn't form any connection or care as to what happened, bringing this story to 3 stars. Too rushed for me. I did, however, love the plot twist, I just wish there had been a better build-up, a more mysterious vibe.
Anyway, this was a quick, grayish read. Not anything that would make a lasting impression.
OK, my initial issues with this book aren't really the authors fault, just a freaky coincidence that makes my skin crawl! My name is Leanne, my family all call me LeaLea. My son... His name is Seth! And one of his school friends, who we've known since forever... Aron! Urgh, definitely creepy, right?! Once I had changed all the call characters names and became a little more comfortable with the characters, I found the story a bit meh. There wasn't much characterisation, the story was told too quickly and really, not much happened until close to the end. When the action really started and things started coming to a head, I was thoroughly immersed and the last few chapters flew by. Definitely a story of two halves, just a shame the first half was a lot longer and slower than the second.
Seth is the youngest 'Knight' (I believe) to claim a seat at the infamous table of the Cavalieri Della Morte Seth works as a collector. Collecting outstanding debts for Arthur. Debtors choice. Crimson or green? Seth still has a lot of his humanity left. When he was young tragedy struck his life. He vowed at an early age he would avenge the creature who brought upon him the memories that would forever haunt his nights. Mentored by Lance Knight into the brotherhood. He has a deadly skill, devout dedication and yes, he is a bit of a rebel.
Leeann thought things were good. Yeah, there was the occasional blip in her world. But hey nothing is perfect. Except it seems her value. She is the perfect answer to so many problems. Sadly they were not her problems. Until now. I have to say I truly adored her spunk! Even with all the head bashing and finger groping she never backed down! Seth truly has a heart and it seems to have been taken captive. The way Leanne fights him at every turn and the undercurrent of innocence in her touch only drives his need for her higher
This was a solid read with a serious twist in the storyline that affects one of my favorite Cavalieri. For me, it did not have the darker undertones that some of the other story's did. It still had lots of blood and guts and fun times with torture. It just (IMO) was more of a straight romance. I am not sure how to put it. I did wish there was a bit more closure with regards to certain events and others I would have liked a bit more meat to the scene. But anyone who follows my reviews knows I am a bit greedy with my story lines. Another wonderful addition to the Cavalieri family.
Oh my what can I say about this book other than you need to read it mercy what a good story. I've read just about all of Ally's book from the start and each and everytime she continues to surprise me with how much she continues to grow in her writing. This book is about Seth who may be the youngest in the Cavalieri Della Morte men, but you won't want to cross him. He's the one you never want to get a visit from, so when he's sent to collect a debt he is offered a girl as payment. Leeann is a spunky doesn't take crap from anyone kind of girl, but she has a soft spot for her brother who always seems to get into trouble with the wrong people which she bails him out of, but this time that won't work as she's been taken as payment for his debts and she doesn't know what's going to happen to herself.
Ok so is it wrong of me to crave a little Seth? Seth Galahad is one of the younger men in Arthur Calthorpe’s Cavalieri Della Morte Assassins. At only nineteen years old, he is the debt collector for the Cavalieri. “Pay what you owe in cash or pay it in blood.” That’s how he meets Leeann Mallory. She wasn’t the debt he was supposed to collect but that doesn’t stop him from taking her. Leeann is in this mess because of her brother’s irresponsibility. Her brother has a really bad gambling addiction but his last mistake will cost Leeann her life! Taken for her brother’s debt. Will she be able to get free or will she be bargained for another’s debt? Will Seth and Leeann work together to get justice for the real debt owed or will he keep to his oath to protect and follow the Cavalieri’s law. I cannot say how much I love this book and whole series! Each one gets better and better with the so much intrigue, mystery, action and twists & of course steaminess to keep my interest. This is Book 9 in the series and can be read as a standalone. Told in dual POV; Bravo Ally! I loved this so much pretty girl. ;)
Delinquent is a must one click: Very well written story that will keep you hooked throughout.
Seth Galahad - A ruthless killer and highly skilled member of THE CAVALIERI DELLA MORTE but a simple mission turns his world upside down, he gets way more than he bargained for including past secrets & truths. But, he still has to keep focus on his mission: fail and the result, is own death.
Leeann Mallory - A spitfire with big enough balls to match the brothers of the Cavalieri Della Morte, betrayed by her own flesh & blood for a gambling debt, she must fight hard and face the ultimate test : Kill or be killed.
This book contains dark themes, hot scenes and some twists you will never see coming.
What a great addition to this series. I'm this one we get to learn more about the assassin Seth Galahad. What is a mysterious young man who has always kept to himself. When he arrives to extract the payment from his latest mark he is surprised at what the payment is. The payment is the beautiful LeAnn. LeAnn is a strong young lady who has to come to terms with just how quickly her life has change. The smoldering gazes that then into hot steamy scenes between the two is hot! There is so much more to this short book than meets the eye. This is a non-stop action packed book that will keep you in your toes and guessing. There were twist and turns do that I thought I had figured out, but I was wrong.
The authors of the Cavalieri Della Morte series are killing it. Ally Vance has just delivered a deliciously dark and twisted book that had me on the edge of my seat!
My heart was racing the whole time I was reading this story and I couldn’t put it down! I can’t wait to see what the next book in the series has in store for us.
Another great addition to this series. Ally Vance had me turning pages and gasping at the twists and turn. I loved that Seth is the younger than all the members, the chemistry of the characters and banter had me wanting more. Great read! 4 Stars
My first book by this author and another great addition to the series. This is Seth's story and it's a quick, addictive read. Was hooked from the very first page.
Every book I’ve read by this author has been great so I had high expectations for this story. The author succeeded in blowing my mind as I loved this story.
Seth is Arthur’s debt collector. When he goes to collect a debt he ends up with Leeann. Both are fantastic characters and adds so much to this series. You really need to read this to find out what happens.
This was a quick read for me and I devoured it in one sitting. Can’t wait to read more from this author.
Delinquent is part of the Cavalieri Della Morte series. Each book I’ve read so far has been brilliant so jump in...if you dare ;)
“I’m not even twenty years old, and I’ve already got more blood on my hands than most guys twice my age, I fucking live for the rush of this job. It took nearly two years of training to hone my natural skill into something more deadly and precise, earning me my place at the Tabella. Then a further two years to get to where I am today.” This is Seth Galahad, joins the Cavalieri in part to find the killers of his mother and take revenge. Arthur sends him to collect a debt for Caryn, a club owner, but she still doesn’t have the money, so Seth gives her 2 more weeks or he will kill her. Arron is one of those who owes money to Caryn bc of his gambling addiction, so instead of money he offers his little sister LeAnn as payment. LeAnn is kidnapped from her house and Caryn offers her to Seth as payment, Seth takes her to his house but tells Caryn he still wants the money. LeAnn will fight non-stop with Seth trying to escape, but slowly she will soften and end up giving in to the charms of Seth. At the end of the book you discover the identity of the killer of Seth´s mother, the identity of Seth´s father and Arthur´s manipulations in all this.
So this is the ninth book in this multi-book/multi-author series. And Mrs. Vance is another new to me author.
And now I can say Finally.... Finally, we get Seth's book.... I thought that Seth's book was going to be the second book in this series. But it wasn't.... But now we finally have it.
Let's go with Seth first. If you don't remember Seth, we meet him way back in book one, in Lance's book. Seth is the youngest of the Telbella Della Morte. He is also the one that Lance took a liking to and took him under his wing and mentored him through his training. I liked Seth, I thought that there was a softer gentler side to him, more so than the other guy's.
Oh Leeann... I liked Leeann. I thought she was a likable character. She's a young woman who unfortunately got caught in the crosshairs of her brother's business.
I want to say that although this book is technically labeled as a novella. I didn't think it read as a novella, it seemed as if it were a full-length book to me. I will say that I did notice a few discrepancies with Seth's backstory that didn't make sense with his age. Also not sure what was with the ending of the book either, the story seemed to be still running smoothly and than BAM it just ended. Not sure if that had to do with the fact this was supposed to be a novella and it was running to long or what. But yeah the ending just ended abruptly and didn't really make sense for this book. So just a few nit picky things, but other than that I thought that this was an enjoyable book. Also there is a twist in this book that I didn't see coming, but probably should have.
I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5!!!
**I received an ARC of this book for my honest opinion**
i received a copy of this book from the author/publisher to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
Seth Galahad is reckless and a rule breaker with a taste for violence. It's what I've been called time and again. Carving my way through the names I've been given, I'll rise through the ranks. Collecting your blood as payment for your debts I"m young, I"m hungry and I won't be stopped. I take what I want, when I want. Nothing can hold me back. The cross on my back speaks of a past I know nothing about. The history of my family drenched in mystery. Leann Mallory. My brother's string of gambling debts has raged out of control. An insurmountable sum that he's racked up over time. Out of money and out of luck, he did something unthinkable. Playing with my life in a game of chance, he lost My brother did nothing to prevent me from being taken. The debt collector came in the night, and he snatched me from my bed. Debts must be cleared, and I'm going to be the one to pay it. The question is will it be in blood? Or will it be with my heart.
I loved this book. I loved Seth and Leeann. Leann is put in a terrible situation by her brother and he used her as collateral for his gambling debt. However who he owes owes people much bigger and Seth comes to collect and ends up taking Leeann with him. Now they are locked away for two weeks with some major attraction going on. If you have read thee previous books then you know there is a lot of mystery attached to these books about the whole story. I loved this one. It is one of my favorites in the series. I can not wait to see what comes next.
Arthur has a long reach in this world. He has his hands into a lot of things, but Seth is surprised by what he learns about Arthur’s reach in Delinquent. This time he may have gone too far.
Seth Galahad was young when Arthur brought him into the Cavalieri, but he’s been trained and has no problem doing his job. His mentor Lance has been a big part of his training as well as his acceptance into the Cavalieri. The latest job he has been assigned could destroy him if he isn’t careful.
LeeAnn finds herself in a bad situation. Learning how much her brother cares about her could destroy her and puts her life in danger. Her savior is no white knight, nor is he a hero, but he will become her hero.
I really liked this story. All of the Cavalieri books have been very well written and the characters are all ruthless lethal men, but this story has more twists than some of the others have had. It was so intriguing to me that it drew me in, and I hated to put it down until the end. Most of the books in the Cavalieri Della Morte series have been new to me authors, but if all of their books are like these, then I will be searching out more of their books to read.
I give this story a 4.5-star review and highly recommend it as well as the other books in the Cavalieri Della Morte Series. The men in these stories are some of the most dangerous men around, but when they find that one woman who softens their hearts, they become much more dangerous and lethal because they will do anything to keep that woman safe and protected, even the women who work with their men.
“I’m bound by an oath and my blood to see this through to the end, and I will. I have nothing left but this life and my Cavalieri brothers.”
The youngest member of the Cavalieri, Seth lives for the chaos that death brings. Sent on yet another job, he goes to collect a debt owed and instead is offered something he should resist. Trusting his gut and ignoring his common sense he finds his hands full when he accepts the offering of an innocent woman to buy more time. Recognising that she is nothing more than bartering chip he is drawn to her fire and tenacity, despite finding herself in a nightmare she’s brave and resilient. Sparks fly and although they know it’s madness they can’t help but be seduced by one another. Seth is no amateur and he realises that his mark is trying to manipulate him but why?
Secrets and lies are revealed but can Seth exact retribution for the senseless death of his mother that shaped his life, leading him to become the man he is today? Can he keep the woman who he took as collateral and somehow stole his heart? Will his rash behaviour earn the wrath of Arthur? This is a fast paced, knife edge read that kept my tummy in knots and a smile tugging at my lips. I have fallen madly, deeply for the men of the Cavalieri and can’t wait to read more about them!
A four and a half star blood isn’t always thicker than water read.

Title: Delinquent (Cavalieri Della Morte Book 9) Author: Ally Vance Genre: Contemporary Romance Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
ARC received in return for an honest review.
Delinquent is the 9th book in the Cavalieri Della Morte series, it’s the story of Seth Galahad an assassin hired by Arthur Calthorpe to carry out assignments and Leeann Mallory a young woman unfortunately caught up in the crosshairs of her brothers business.
Seth Galahad promised to avenge his mother’s death, as a teen he left home only to return and find his mother dead, moving onwards over time he’s made use of the anger he’s been holding onto, turning himself one of the best assassins from Arthur’s crew. Leeann’s brother, the only person she’s got has gambled her away to some very bad people associated with Arthur, throughout this story we delve deeper into a world of death, darkness, betrayal and secrets then there’s the connection itself between Seth & Leeann.
Reading about these big strong, dangerous men and the woman who bring them to their knees is truly one of my favourite ways to spend an evening/night tucked up in bed, I loved how the author connected characters from the previous books, it’s was good getting a glimpse of previous ones, Delinquent was another fantastic addition to the Cavalieri Della Morte series.
This is first my first read by Ally Vance and it was ok. This is a quick read and I devoured it in one sitting. Seth Galahad is one of the younger men in Arthur Calthorpe’s Cavalieri Della Morte Assassins; only at the age of 19. When Seth arrives to extract the payment from his latest mark he is surprised at what the payment is the beautiful Leeann. The more the story goes the deeper we get into a world of death, secrets, betrayal, darkness and the hot and crazy connection between Seth & Leeann. I was definitely surprised by the plot twist and so will you.

Delinquent (Cavalieri Della Morte series) by Ally Vance Seth is the youngest of the assassins. He was taken in by Arthur after he discovered his mother murdered in their home at 16. His job is collections. If they can not pay back the money then they will pay with blood. Leeann moved in with her brother even though he has a gambling habit. Now he has just told her he lost her gambling and she can't believe it. Now being held captive she had just found out she is being used as partial payment for her captive's debt. Seth has come to collect a debt but has discovered the client doesn't have the money and they want to give him Leeann as partial payment. Seth has issues because of how his mother died and Leeann is still trying to wrap her mind around what her brother has done. Together they both try and deal with the situation plus their own personal demons. To compound the situation the sexual tension and attraction has been an added issue As this story unfolded I was shocked at what was revealed. The story was definitely interesting and once again had me wanting to know more about Arthur. I do have to say that the bomb that was dropped was dropped and not fully put to bed. I truly hope at some point in will be. 4.5 stars for me.
In Short - Seth kept me on my toes. - I don't want this series to end. - Leeann and Seth together are entertaining.
In Long This series is truly one hell of a ride and Delinquent really added to that.
Delinquent is Seth's story and wow, does it keep you on your toes. I absolutely loved Seth, he has a big personality which really shone through in this book. His a cheeky, bad boy which I could not get enough of. His story is a rocky one which has made him in to the person he is today.
I was so enthralled by the story line, it's probably one of the ones with the most twists which really surprised me. I love how a few story lines came together and seeing other characters again from previous books.
Leeann gave Seth a run for his money which I really enjoyed. They are really entertaining together and their chemistry is strong. I really would have liked more of that though. Although there were a few scenes of them together I did want more, it felt like something was missing from it and that something being more of them.
Final Thoughts I really enjoyed Seth's story and getting to know him.
Quotes 'I'm the delinquent who doesn't play by any rules, not even my own.'
I've been eagerly awaiting Seth's book since I met him in book 1. He definitely intrigued me and I was keen to know more about the youngest member of the Cavalieri Della Morte.
Seth is young and impulsive he loves to break the rules and push his boundaries. He maybe a delinquent but he's a loyal member of the ruthless team of Assassins. I loved Seth but I didn't get the connection I wanted from him, I expected more. I feel like we've only scratched the surface.
Seth and Leeann are thrown together as part of a debt owed to Arthur, Seth takes Leeann as a payment of sorts until the debt is cleared. He knows this is more than just a simple debt and he wants to find out exactly what's going on.
Leeann surprised me she didn't cower when her whole world was tipped upside down, betrayed in the worst way but she didn't go without a fight. She was feisty and more than a meek little mouse. I really liked her for that.
I really enjoyed the twists and turns and suspenseful moments in the story. I loved the surprise towards the end, I didn't see that coming so it was a nice twist.
Delinquent is the newest captivatingly addictive addition to the Cavalieri della Morte series. With each new Cavalieri brother introduced in this series I've been drawn further into their world and enjoyed every dark and gritty moment.
From the first time Seth appeared in this series his mysterious persona intrigued me. Though the youngest of the Cavalieri Seth is reckless, lethal and thrived in the chaos of the job. When his newest mission was called in Seth soon realized things were not going to go as planned. Leann was such a feisty spitfire and I loved how she wasn't afraid to go toe-to-toe with Seth. Even as their worlds were flipped upside down the chemistry and banter between these two kept me constantly craving more.
Full of suspense, action, secrets and lies Delinquent kept me constantly guessing until the end. I loved the twist their story took and after this amazing addition to the Cavalieri della Morte series I can't wait to see who's story's next.
Another fantastic read by Ally Vance and another fantastic addition to the Cavalieri Della Morte series. Would absolutely recommend reading.
Seth Galahad, doesn't follow rules except those of the Tabella. Sometimes he does bend them to suit. He will collect, whether that be in cash or blood. When another option comes his way, will he take it?
Leeann Mallory, has been caught up in her brothers debts. He gambled with her life and lost. Now she is being used as payment but she won't go down without a fight. She's fiesty, strong willed and determined to get away. Will Leeann escape with her life and her heart?
Ally Vance writes dark romance and Delinquent is no different. Definitely not for the faint hearted or squeamish. It's suspenseful, packed with heated arguments and steamy moments. Told in dual POV (which I prefer), it's a quick and easy read. The development of the story and the not knowing where it would go, made it hard to put down.
Dark. Delicious. Dirty read that keeps building the Cavalieri Della Morte world. More than 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if possible!!
This series. This author. The darkness of this series has drugged me and I am high off of it. This series has not disappointed and this book is no exception. The action, suspense, and steaminess combine to give you a heart racing story you will want to read again. It is not for the faint of heart - that’s for sure. The characters are strong and the chemistry is off the charts.
Seth and Leeann are a smoking hot couple. Apart, they are strong and tough. Together, they will make the pages ignite on your kindle. Their scenes of steaminess are mind blowing and will knock your panties off!! Such amazing writing by this author. I can’t wait to see what she holds in the future!!
I love the Cavalieri Della Morte world. It's dark and gritty, and yet you just can't put it down and walk away from it.
Seth is the newest Cavalieri that we meet. I think that he's probably the youngest at this point as well. As far as I can tell, he's only about 20. He's disciplined, but he also has a huge impulsive streak. I know that it doesn't seem like it should work that way, but it totally does. He's still working up the ranks of the CDM, and right now he's the one that Arthur sends out when he needs to have some debts collected. When he goes to collect a debt from Caryn, he ends up with Leeann.
I like Leeann. I thought that she had a very good heart. She's a fierce little thing though. She's not going to just sit down without a fight, she's going to keep trying. That fire serves her quite well.
I think that she and Seth are going to be very good for each other.
First time I’ve read this author and being introduced to so many is one of the things I have loved about this series. Unfortunately this book just didn’t quite reach the same heights as the others books for me. However in saying that, the storyline was very good, there were some twists that I didn’t see coming. In fairness to Ally, Delinquent followed one of the best books in the series, which possibly leaves you looking for more.
Seth was still very young and a delinquent as such. He was a debt collector for Arthur and he always collected in one way or another. However this job should of been another simple pay day and it was anything but. Whilst everything was laid out nice and simple by Seth, he did collect, he was paid in blood but not in the usual form. He needed answers and he was about to be bombarded with them.
