Sigh...this author never disappoints, and again she DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I enjoyed this one a lot. No surprise since I am a sucker for "daddy" kink books, and Daddy Geraint was SMOKIN' hot. It was also a well-written book. It was fast-paced (and on the short side). Told in a dual POV format. The plot was engaging (although I couldn't help but wish it had been longer). No OW or OM drama (props to the author for that). The sex scenes were hot. Both the main characters were likable. Last, it all wrapped up in an OK happy for now ending (I would have liked to have had an epilogue that showed this couple further into the future). Still, it was a fantastic read and gets two thumbs up from yours turly.

He’s a bad person. I can see his sinfulness outlining him like the tarnished halo of a fallen angel.
I want him to keep doing this to me, punishing me and forgiving me until I really, really believe it, deep in my core. I want him to burn away all my wrongdoings.
“You’re going to swear a new vow, baby. A vow of obedience, to me. I will be your God. I will bestow love. Forgiveness. Punishment. I will be your everything and you’ll answer to no one but me.”

Before you can be forgiven, you have to be punished.Yeah, I freely admit that my shallow heart LOVED this!
I'm breathing life into her worst fears.. . . that didn't deteriorate into violence or cruelty. Geraint was a badass but not an asshole.
Having power over someone is easy. You just have to figure out what they want most in the world and then make them believe you're the only one who can give it to them. And Brianna Hale knows how to write some awesome daddy kink, lol.
"What is it you people say? Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned? Why don't you try, 'Sorry, daddy, I've been bad.'"I couldn't give this one 5 stars because everything outside of Geraint and Branwen's relationship - ie: the action - was a bit silly. But that's just me . . . I'm NOT a fan of action sequences in the first place.
“I can give you punishment, baby. I can make you very, very sorry.”
“It’s all my fault. My sins have come back to haunt me, and there’s no way I’m getting out of this alive.”
“He goes deeper and deeper filling me and stretching me to a breaking point, until I feel totally consumed by him.”

one more cheesy DD-lg w/ age-gap short erotica down

Dear Readers,
Vow Of Obedience is spine chilling story featuring Geriant, a ruthless mobster working under the Cavalieri Della Morte, a second hero in the series along with our innocent little nun, Branwen who has been dumped into the church by this same man on one fateful night. Things escalate forward when Geriant is given the task of taking down the girl's father for which he might need B's help. What he didn't expect was how obedient and innocent little Branwen is as he takes her under the wing and drives off. What follows after is a ruthless passion of sins, forgiveness, kink and a whirlwind of emotional attachments. Branwen has her own secrets which has forced her to be what she's pretending to be, seeking forgiveness but secretly hoping to sin with this man. Geriant, on the other hand has taken it into his hands to see that this girl never defies him and only obeys him. Thus a Vow Of Obedience turns into a Vow Of Love and it's only a matter of time before things go down.
The thing about this book is that it keeps you at an edge and unwell for most of the time. I enjoyed every minute details and the way our couple opened up to each other. It was like, they knew that this was it for them but circumstances withheld them from actually making a confession, owned by their past demons. Geriant soon looses his resolve to kill the innocent little thing and instead gets extremely protective and possessive for her. Branwen keeps up with her secrets, not uttering a single word, hiding behind the curtains of her so-called sins, atoning. Her strength is admirable here. It was a good read for me, although I might have expected tad bit more from this.
It originally lacked the heat, no doubt their chemistry was explosive but something still seemed to miss out for me. The sex scenes weren't descriptive enough to my horror, for which I live! If Hale could have just concentrated a bit more on making it steamy enough to resist, I think it would have notched up another level but I ain't complaining.
Dear Brianna Hale,
It was my first time read by you. I thoroughly enjoyed the book except the steamy scene part. A little more spice and description and we're good to go. I seriously like authors who use layman language, rather than those Oxford highway words, bah! Your characters were well built and strong, never did I feel any hate against them or wanted to smack them which is a rare case. Each character was given proper time by you and it made me glued to my kindle. I didn't have to make any excuse to just take a break, which is a wonderful thing for me! Haha. I look forward to reading more from you.
