Until her. Adelmo's daughter.

Branwen has taken a vow of silence to atone for her sins, but I don’t need her to say a word. She’s the bait that’s going to draw my target out.

Now she’s going to swear another vow. A vow of obedience. To me.

Together, we’re going to take down her father. If she does exactly what I tell her, she may even escape with her life.

Do as daddy says.

description Sigh...this author never disappoints, and again she DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I enjoyed this one a lot. No surprise since I am a sucker for "daddy" kink books, and Daddy Geraint was SMOKIN' hot. It was also a well-written book. It was fast-paced (and on the short side). Told in a dual POV format. The plot was engaging (although I couldn't help but wish it had been longer). No OW or OM drama (props to the author for that). The sex scenes were hot. Both the main characters were likable. Last, it all wrapped up in an OK happy for now ending (I would have liked to have had an epilogue that showed this couple further into the future). Still, it was a fantastic read and gets two thumbs up from yours turly.

description
SIDE NOTE: I'm giving this author an extra shout out for be a complete sweetheart and a class act. She hooked me up with a copy of this book after I had something rather distasteful happen. I won't go into details, but it is nice to know that there are still authors like her in this industry.

4 Daddy Spanking Stars ⭐️

Vow of Obedience (The Knight’s of Death) is a standalone story in the Cavalieri Della Morte series. This book centres around an elite hit man Geraint who is out to avenge his brother’s death.

While Geraint is completing a hit he encounters a young girl who collapses in his arms. In an act of mercy, he leaves her at a church at the scene of the crime.

Five months later their paths cross again. Geraint learns that the girl he once left behind is in fact Branwen, the daughter of his enemy. With vengeance on his mind he returns to kidnap her to use as bait.

What he never anticipated was that the girl he now held captive, had taken a vow of silence to atone her own sins. But what god may not be able to forgive, her ‘daddy‘ certainly could....

This is a quick paced book with dark humorous undertones about two people looking for revenge and redemption. With Brianna Hale’s signature Daddy Kink and excellent writing, this was a fantastic read.

Genre: Dark Romance
Type: A novella in the Cavalieri Della Morte series
POV: First Person - Dual
Rating:

Geraint Reese had a personal mission to complete. As a professional, he had no problem executing his tasks. When Branwen Lange crashed into his life, he thought he had an ace in his hand. Little did he know she was going to be a complication he didn’t need.

He’s a bad person. I can see his sinfulness outlining him like the tarnished halo of a fallen angel.

I thought Geraint was quite sexy and I liked the fact that he’s relatively young. Branwen’s certain choice in life made her character interesting and provided a different kind of relationship dynamic. I liked them together, though the Daddy part felt a little off to me. Even though it’s on the lighter side, it was still a bit too fast.

I want him to keep doing this to me, punishing me and forgiving me until I really, really believe it, deep in my core. I want him to burn away all my wrongdoings.

I liked both of the main characters’ background but I would prefer to have more details on her family and especially on the organization he’s in. This book was lighter than I expected but I still enjoyed it overall. I loved how it ended and wouldn’t want it any other way.

“You’re going to swear a new vow, baby. A vow of obedience, to me. I will be your God. I will bestow love. Forgiveness. Punishment. I will be your everything and you’ll answer to no one but me.”

Vow of Obedience is a story of acceptance and forgiveness. It would appeal to readers who enjoy a quick dark romance with a sprinkle of daddy kink.

4 STARS!
Before you can be forgiven, you have to be punished.
Yeah, I freely admit that my shallow heart LOVED this!

It's a quick read about a hit man who's out for revenge and a young woman who's drowning in guilt over her best friend's death. Their fates align and it resulted in a great smutty novella.

Kudos to the author for managing to maneuver the relationship between Geraint and Branwen so quickly and believably into intimate territory.

I also appreciated the really dark undertones . . .
I'm breathing life into her worst fears.
. . . that didn't deteriorate into violence or cruelty. Geraint was a badass but not an asshole.
Having power over someone is easy. You just have to figure out what they want most in the world and then make them believe you're the only one who can give it to them.
And Brianna Hale knows how to write some awesome daddy kink, lol.
"What is it you people say? Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned? Why don't you try, 'Sorry, daddy, I've been bad.'"
I couldn't give this one 5 stars because everything outside of Geraint and Branwen's relationship - ie: the action - was a bit silly. But that's just me . . . I'm NOT a fan of action sequences in the first place.

Another great read by Brianna Hale!

4.5 stars!!

Brianna Hale writes some of the best Dd/lg books!
i loved the dynamic between Branwen and Geraint. Branwen has taken a vow of silence. She is praying for forgiveness all because of something that basically started with her father. As for Geraint, he's a brutal assassin. but he's not a bad man. his target might be Branwen's dad, but Daddy Geraint has other plans for his little Branwen. The need for him to take care of Branwen was obvious when they first met.

A vow of obedience, to me. I will be your God. I will bestow love. Forgiveness. Punishment. I will be your everything and you’ll answer to no one but me.”
Determined to continue keeping silent to atone for her 'sins', Geraint uses her faith to make another vow, but to him. it's crazily hot and intense when Branwen agrees to be Daddy's good girl.

overall, i enjoyed this so much. 4.5 stars!!

3-3.5 ”Daddy forgives you” stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I kiss her inner thighs and sit up. “Are you going to do as daddy says?”
Branwen’s eyes are full of yes and I know I’m in her head now. She just needs a higher power to serve, and now that power is me.
I smile wide in the darkness and I wonder if she sees her devil in my face. “Such a good girl.”

This is the second book in the series by a new to me author. I have seen her in my feed many times but I never got around to reading one of her books. She’s known for her daddy kink romance and this one was the same. The story is about a bunch of hitmen or assassins. I really enjoyed this one. There definitely was less action compared to the last one. I loved this author’s writing and will definitely check out more of her books.

She sucks her lower lip into her mouth, and I see it at last. True repentance. She knows what she did and she’s truly sorry. What a little lamb I’m going to make of her, the perfect tool to bring her father down.
“A bad, bad thing.” I stroke my fingers down her cheek, my touch possessive and benevolent. “But daddy forgives you.”

Geraint is out on a mission to kill the man who killed his brother and the only way to do that is by using the daughter of that man. Surprisingly he doesn’t expect her to be the girl who he saved few months ago and is more intrigued when he learns she has taken a vow of silence. It wasn’t lust at first sight but it builds as the story goes.

”Don’t worry. I’ll forgive you.”
My traitorous heart starts to pound. The three little words I’ve waited so long to hear, and they’ve come out of the mouth of a dark angel.
I’ll forgive you.
He presses his lips to my temple, planting slow, fiery kisses there. “Do you want that, baby? Forgiveness? I can give you what you need. It would be a pleasure.”

Branwen has always lived under her father’s thumb and no one has ever protected her. So when he betrays her in the worst way possible, she runs away and literally falls into the arms of Geraint who leaves her at a convent where she spends time atoning for her sins. She doesn’t expect him to return and kidnap her. I felt she was really naive in the beginning especially when she made some really stupid decisions but I grew to like her in the end. She never let go of her gentle attitude and I really loved that quality.

She’s not made for a nunnery. She’s made for this, to be someone’s sweet little girl he can punish and cherish and turn into a panting, sobbing, sorry puddle of need whenever he likes.

Looking at her in pain and not getting the forgiveness she craves so much, Geraint takes matters into his own hands and tries to help her by becoming her daddy. I didn’t actually like the fact how she so easily believed what he was trying to show her. As they open up more, you realise they have more in common.

I nod. No one, and nothing, is as powerful as Geraint.
He grabs a fistful of my hair and tugs my head back so his eyes are blazing into mine. “You’re going to swear a new vow, baby. A vow of obedience, to me. I will be your God. I will bestow love. Forgiveness. Punishment. I will be your everything and you’ll answer to no one but me.”

What I loved the most about her was that even without speaking, she was able to express herself so well and the author did a good job. It was something different and unique. I also loved their banter. The plot was easily predictable. I definitely got my wish in the romance aspect in this one.

Overall it was a good read with smutty daddy kink. I just couldn’t connect more to the characters and wanted it to be a bit more lengthy which is the reason behind my rating. But don’t let me keep you from reading it. I’m definitely continuing with this series. ♥️

Very cringey. Very gross. Not romantic at all.

It read like a cult leader abusing one of his followers. The hero was ultra dominate to the heroines worshipping, subservient personality. She calls him god and "her savior" multiple times. I usually love this author but this one was just too over the line. There reaches a point where power dynamics that were once steamy then become something really sinister and evil.

If anyone has watched Netflix's Abducted in Plain Sight, than you might get what im trying to say.

Geraint Reese learned early there aren’t guarantees when it comes to family. Upon the loss of his brother, Geraint wants vengeance and realizes Branwen Lange is his ticket to penance.

“I can give you punishment, baby. I can make you very, very sorry.”

Told in dual POV, the storyline unfolds as two dark paths intersect without knowing the impact each will have. Rough around the edges, Geraint doesn’t apologize for his gruff exterior or his brooding need to dominant. At first, Branwen presents as though she is simply broken, but Geraint is in the position to give her what she so desperately seeks.

“It’s all my fault. My sins have come back to haunt me, and there’s no way I’m getting out of this alive.”

Observing what Branwen needs, Geraint takes what she is willing to give and replaces her repentance with absolution. Though Geraint is on the younger side for a Daddy, he is equally commanding and nurturing. With Branwen, she’s punished herself for so long that surrendering to Geraint, frees her pain and allows acceptance.

“He goes deeper and deeper filling me and stretching me to a breaking point, until I feel totally consumed by him.”

The cadence of this novella is swift and it underscores the quick connection between Geraint and Branwen. Perhaps, more development in the beginning would have enhanced the Daddy/lg dynamic, but together they were still hot. I liked how Branwen chose her path even though her vulnerabilities made her endure more pain.

Vow of Obedience is a dark romance about penance and acceptance with elements of daddy kink. This novella is the second volume of the Cavalieri Della Morte series, though each can be read as a standalone.

AHHHHHH this was a great darkish book brianna i gotta say her daddy kink is sweet!!!

Geraint lord i love him even when he was abit dickish and i can't blame him.. growly, possessive, takes what he wants and what he wants is Revenge and he has the perfect person to help with his plan. Branwen (h) quite,    strong, and has ran away from her family she took a vow of silence and i mean she really stuck to it. (Most of the book she doesn't speak we do get both povs) she doesn't forgive herself for her sins but daddy Geraint shall help her with those sins.. these two together the chemistry is off the charts even when she doesn't speak.

Why i didn't give it a 5 and i wish it was longer!! :(
Thats it...

I've read my fair share of dark romance... but this book wasn't my cup of tea.
Vow of Obedience was awkward in the most uncomfortable way.
it's not even the fact that there are trigger warnings....which really doesn't phase me. It's the fact that I can't seem to point my finger on what it was that didn't do it for me...

“You’re going to swear a new vow, baby. A vow of obedience, to me. I will be your God. I will bestow love. Forgiveness. Punishment. I will be your everything and you’ll answer to no one but me.”

and he became her daddy too, COL.

i love it. i didnt know it was (this much) shorty when i started to read but after all, still this 'falling in love-lust' was too quick. especially 'daddy-little girl' thing. yeah they met before, like for minutes, H kind of saving h, but there should be some sexual tension, accidentally touches, eye-fucking and everything else for a hot new couple. other parts was good.

no over the top drama, no too explicit sex scenes. no forcing. no mind-fucking. no keeping secrets. so, it's safe read.

oh, my bad, there is age gap (of course), H is 34 and h is 18-19 smth. even for his thirst for revenge H is NOT cold-hearted asshole, actually was very ridiculously funny.

“You’re trying to find forgiveness but that praying shit doesn’t seem to be helping, does it?”
Branwen frowns at my blasphemy. Please. As if I’m afraid of damnation. I cup her chin in my fingers. “What is it you people say? Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned? Why don’t you try, ‘Sorry, daddy, I’ve been bad.’”
Her eyes go round with shock.
“You heard me. I can give you punishment, baby. I can make you very, very sorry.”
Branwen, predictably, doesn’t say anything, but she’s gazing at me with mingled curiosity and alarm.
Slowly, I close my hand around her throat and squeeze. Her pulse pounds beneath my fingers, wild and panicked. I press on the arteries, making the blood rush to her brain. Making it just that little bit harder to breathe.
“You fucked up, Branwen,” I snarl, my face close to hers. “You fucked up real bad. Everyone’s so disappointed in you.”

i have more expectations for other books in the series but i dont have hopes.

one more cheesy DD-lg w/ age-gap short erotica down

This was a different kind of story. Brianna Hale brings a vow of silence to her new mafia book. Branwen (love that name btw) has seen some horrible things due to her father and his mafia life. So Branwen runs away and finds herself in Geraint arms. But little does Geraint know that he had the one thing he needed to help kill the man that killed his brother.

Geraint is on a mission to avenge his brother's murder. But the man he is after wants or needs for nothing, but his daughter is missing and could be Geraint's' way in. When Geraint finds out that the woman he helped into the church is who he has been looking for, he goes and kidnaps her.

These two have instant chemistry and even with Brianna not talking you get this thickness between them that you can not put this book down. Everyone going through something deep and dark like Brianna needs a Geraint and a daddy like him.

😊 4 Daddy Darkest Stars!

"This will send a message to anyone else who thinks of double-crossing the Cavalieri Della Morte. Don’t fuck with us. We fuck back. Harder. “And don’t insult my mother,” I say to the corpse, giving it a kick for calling me a son of a bitch. “It might have been quicker if you didn’t insult my mother.”

Vow of Obedience is part of a series of interconnected standalones, each book features a killer, assassin for The Cavalieri Della Morte. This is Daddy Geraint's story.

I'm not even into daddy kink, for Peter's Sake. Hale did an amazing job of making me fall head over heels for this Daddy Dom. And I'm not even sorry. LMAO! Dark humor goes a long way for me, especially since I read captive books like I change my undies. Geraint was absolutely refreshing for an anti-hero. This guy had me laughing my booty off. Not to mention his swagger, fans self. I don't even know how to pronounce his name. I'll stick with Daddy.
Ha. I can't deal with myself. This is perhaps one of the best lines I've ever read.

“You’ll get used to it in a bit, baby. I know it’s new and all, getting kidnapped, but you’re doing great. Five out of five.”

Anyway, Geraint stole the show. Obviously since Branwen was all cute and quiet. Like completely quiet. Vow of silence and all. Innocent and repenting her father's sins. Quite the opposite of your fighter/crying captive. It really was refreshing as far as dark romances go. Unique and darkly fascinating! Shit, I could've read these two for a lot longer. I really loved the dynamic between them. I'll end this review with another one that had me dying. I loved Hale's contribution to this series. Geraint stole my dark heart.

"Good little Catholic girls are probably told they’ll burn if they ring the devil’s doorbell. It’s all right, baby. I’ll ring it for you.'

Let me start off with saying this book left me wanting more. I mean the relationship between Geraint and Branwen from beginning to end had me crying and yelling at my kindle. The little things you think you know turn out to be something completely different.

Brianna brings these characters to life in a way that has me turning the page to read on. Super amazing dark and angst filled I couldn't put it down.

Dear Readers,
Vow Of Obedience is spine chilling story featuring Geriant, a ruthless mobster working under the Cavalieri Della Morte, a second hero in the series along with our innocent little nun, Branwen who has been dumped into the church by this same man on one fateful night. Things escalate forward when Geriant is given the task of taking down the girl's father for which he might need B's help. What he didn't expect was how obedient and innocent little Branwen is as he takes her under the wing and drives off. What follows after is a ruthless passion of sins, forgiveness, kink and a whirlwind of emotional attachments. Branwen has her own secrets which has forced her to be what she's pretending to be, seeking forgiveness but secretly hoping to sin with this man. Geriant, on the other hand has taken it into his hands to see that this girl never defies him and only obeys him. Thus a Vow Of Obedience turns into a Vow Of Love and it's only a matter of time before things go down.

The thing about this book is that it keeps you at an edge and unwell for most of the time. I enjoyed every minute details and the way our couple opened up to each other. It was like, they knew that this was it for them but circumstances withheld them from actually making a confession, owned by their past demons. Geriant soon looses his resolve to kill the innocent little thing and instead gets extremely protective and possessive for her. Branwen keeps up with her secrets, not uttering a single word, hiding behind the curtains of her so-called sins, atoning. Her strength is admirable here. It was a good read for me, although I might have expected tad bit more from this.
It originally lacked the heat, no doubt their chemistry was explosive but something still seemed to miss out for me. The sex scenes weren't descriptive enough to my horror, for which I live! If Hale could have just concentrated a bit more on making it steamy enough to resist, I think it would have notched up another level but I ain't complaining.

Dear Brianna Hale,
It was my first time read by you. I thoroughly enjoyed the book except the steamy scene part. A little more spice and description and we're good to go. I seriously like authors who use layman language, rather than those Oxford highway words, bah! Your characters were well built and strong, never did I feel any hate against them or wanted to smack them which is a rare case. Each character was given proper time by you and it made me glued to my kindle. I didn't have to make any excuse to just take a break, which is a wonderful thing for me! Haha. I look forward to reading more from you.

Hot, steamy, novella length read with a HEA. Geraint is extremely sexy! Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I felt some of the logic and actions were a little off. They just didn’t seem right and that took me out of the story. Otherwise great quick read.

I didn't used to read daddy kink. Not until Brianna Hale walked into my life and made it something hot and sinful and irresistible. And Vow of Obedience with our sexy, domineering Geraint who will stop at nothing to get his revenge has inched his way near the top of the list of her best daddy doms yet.

I'll admit that if you're looking for a battle of wills between Geraint and our silent heroine Branwen--she's taken a vow of silence to atone for her guilt--then you aren't going to happy with the result. Because while Branwen is strong in her own way, she's more than willing to bend over backward to please Geraint (I don't blame her one iota). Her strength isn't in how well she can fight back against her kidnapper. It's an inner strength that we learn to appreciate the more we get to know her.

But even though character in-fighting is slightly to a minimum there's still excitement and tension and secrets being revealed that keep the reader on the edge of her seat without that constant fighting between the hero and heroine, though I'll admit that's usually my favorite part of a romance novel. The chemistry between these two was immediate and satisfying throughout the entirety of the novel.

I actually truly adored that Geraint's need to take care of Branwen wasn't a slow build, but something that was evident in their relationship from the very first moment they met. He's gentle--for a Daddy Dom--and genuinely remorseful for the pain she's experiencing. And the way he speaks will make you want to curl up on the bed and say, "yes, daddy". At least, I hope that wasn't just me...

Fair warning, this book (and maybe the others in the series, though I haven't read them yet) touches a lot on religion, so if you're sensitive to that and don't want to think about hot, dirty sex while you're twisting your rosaries next then maybe this book isn't for you. But if you want Branwen to go down on those praying knees and tell Daddy she's sorry and beg for his forgiveness, then... okay, you're in the right place.

If you're already a fan of Brianna Hale then I'm not going to write this for you because you'd already have scooped this up before release day. If you're not a fan of Brianna Hale (YET) but love Daddy Doms, then great. You're going to have a delicious read if you pick this up. And if Daddy Doms aren't your think but you like the idea of the overall anthology, well, then buy this anyways because you'll learn to love it... just like everyone else. It's not an acquired taste. It's a way of life.

WOW can someone just tell me what I read because The Cavalieri Della Morte series is off the chain! Book one had me but Vow of Obedience had me at the edge of the seat waiting to see what is next. I loved every moment of it and i got to the end and yell oh hell to the no at the end because I needed no wanted more because Geraint and Branwen were an amazing couple as well as on their own. They held it down and Geraint swears to take care of Branwen and boy oh boy does he.

Geraint wants revenge on the man who killed his brother and he is going to get it no matter what it takes. Only when he goes to get Adelmo he sees his daughter and caught off guard and wants her for himself. Only Branwen has taken a vow of silence to atone for her sins and she is not interested in Geraint. But Geraint is determined to get his girl and he will do whatever it takes to get her and take down her father.

Will Geraint be able to get his vengeance? Or will he abort his plans for something else? Will Geraint get Branwen?

I Love Brianna Hale's books!! She writes some of the best Daddy's and Geraint is such a good one!! I loved this story!! It was Dark and sexy!!! I loved the dynamic between Geraint and Branwen! He knew just what she needed even if she wasn't so sure!! It was so amazing!!! I read this in 2 days I couldn't put it down. It's different and so interesting and captivating. I love that Branwen didn't talk. I Loved getting to see Geraint actually fall for this silent girl. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the whole books Geraint talked about how he doesn't believe in God and how she shouldn't either and it annoyed me honestly. Other than that I really loved it. It was so good. I love Brianna's books and I can't wait for more.

Book 2 of this dark series does not disappoint!

Geraint, another of the brothers with a taste for the deadly finds himself seeking vengeance and knows just how to get it.

Branwen, troubled and broken is praying for forgiveness but what she gets instead is Geraint. Silent and complicated, Branwen is looking for something she thinks only her father can give her.

Geraint, is also complicated and he doesn't know what to do with his new charge. He is a dirty, dirty man and he loves the sight of blood.

I have never read this author before but this was a heart pounding, fast read. It was naughty and bloody. It had a ton of grit and substance. I'm not a "daddy" fan but I found this enjoyable nonetheless.

This was my first book by this author and now I'm a bit ashamed to admit that because I've really been missing out. This book has everything I like....sex, violence and plenty of emotions. It was a crazy edge of my seat ride from start to finish.

I really enjoyed Vow of obedience. It was fast paced, dark and gritty.

An age gap dark romance that will leave you gasping and shouting at your kindle.

A book that will captivate you and leave you wanting more.

A great series so far.

Gaah I loved Daddy Geraint. Well I love all Brianna's daddies to be fair. She knows how to write a good daddy kink. And this one here was absolutely delicious.
When his brother is killed Geraint wants a revenge. He is furious and ruthless. So he decides to kidnapp his enemy's daughter and use her as a weapon to kill her father. But he turns a little soft on her when he finds her... a little innocent nun the same one he once saved. The connection between them is quick and the Daddy/LG dynamic was so fucking hot. She was seeking forgiveness so desperate and he was more than happy to give this to her.
I was very intrigued to find out what happened to Branwen that she vowed obedience of silence.
I loved every word in there. I loved the writing and the pace. I love Brianna's style of writing. She describes everything so well and don't get me started with the hot sex scenes coz they will melt your panties, but who needs them anyway.
If you like dark and quick daddy kink reads then this book is definitely for you.
I absolutely loved it and I can't wait to meet the rest of the Cavalieri. And with every new book I read in this series I am more and more intrigued about Arthur. His book will be the last and I really am excited to meet him and get to know him better.
