probably one of the best hindi novels ever written. just finished it and it has left with so many what ifs. the narrator in the story is man who is fighting on so many fronts inside and outside, but he is unable to do anything. had it been written in English there would have been thousands of ratings and reviews. plot of the novel also tells why it is being not read widely. Because questions raised by Raghuvar Rai are still unanswered and will probably remain so. I hope none of it was true to any extent whatsoever. go ahead read it, it will remain with for a long long time.

I do not remember the story anymore but it is about male emotions and father-son relationship. Years ago, when I was student I happened to read it and I was quite impressed.
What a book!!! A true gem. The book talks about the relationship between a father and son. Set in previous abs post independence period, it clearly reflects the emotions of every generation. Must read
